Sven rocked back and forth. A habit he'd picked up from his father. Though his mother often scolded him about it, saying it made him seem like he had the jitters or that he was impatient. It was true though, he was impatient, why should he deny it? The black haired boy smiled back as she introduced herself. "I'm Sven Kuriyama," he stated proudly. "It's nice to meet you Shaira." He found that her name was not so easy to pronounce as he thought it would be. "Why ya sitting over here by youself? You should come play with me and the others. I was thinking kickball, you know how to play that game?" He asked.

Shaira realized that she probably should've told him her full name as well, but it was a bit late for that now. Her smile brightened when he said that she should come play with the rest of them. "Really? I didn't want to get in the middle of a game or anything, so I was waitin," she explained. "Yeah, I love kickball!!!" she said with a smile. "I'd love to play with you guys," she said with a small giggle. Looked like she was gonna make a new friend today. Maybe her mom would let her go over his house to play with him. Or better yet, maybe he could come over her house!

Sven was all about making new friends, but he didn't keep up with the lot of them. He took Shaira by the hand and dragged her along to the others. Releasing her hand when they were near the monkey bars he turned and grinned at her. "Be right back, don't go anywhere," he said before hurrying off towards the jungle gym that was only a few feet away. He climbed to the top and stood with his arms crossed over his tiny chest. "Listen up you lot!" He called. Felix glanced up at the sound of Sven's voice. What is that boy doing? "We're going to play kickball, who's with me?" Sven continued. The kids started to jump up and down. Sven smirked and climbed down. He went back to Shaira. "Let's play."

Shaira as a bit surprised when Sven suddenly grabbed her hand and started pulling her, but she kept up with him nonetheless. Her smiled didn't fade any when he grinned at her and told her to stay put. "Okay," she said cheerfully. She couldn't help but giggle at what he was doing. He looked a little silly standing up there with his arms crossed over his chest like that. When he climbed down, she giggled a little and nodded when he said let's play. "Okay!"

Sven looked at the girl and then went and fetched his kickball from the bench were Felix was sitting at. "I made a friend," he said quickly before running off. The shiny red ball dropped to the floor as he let it fall into the set hollihoops. "First up, Shaira," he said. He picked the ball up again and held it under his arm, waiting for her to get ready to kick it. "Better not let a girl win this," he told the guys on his team.

Shaira smiled and watched Sven run off to get his kickball from next to a guy. She figured that guy was his dad. She smiled brightly as he said she was first up, getting to the right spot on the 'field' that was set up. "Ready when you are," she said almost slyly, giggling when Sven told the guys not to let her win.

Serenity looked up from her book to see what Shai was doing, smiling to see that she was playing a game with the other kids. Kickball from the looks of it. Serenity let out a small chuckle. Those poor boys weren't gonna know what hit them. Though it didn't look like it, Shaira was a bit of a tomboy and was both fast and strong, for her age anyways. She smiled and decided to watch what was going on, marking her page with a bookmark.

Sven grinned. She seemed like she knew what she was doing. Didn't mean it was true though. Sven took the ball from under his arm and quickly rolled it across the ground. He stepped back some incase her looks fit her profile. His red eyes almost glowing as he waited for her to kick the ball. He wanted her to fall like that other girl last week. It was hilarious and he hadn't even felt bad about it. Though somehow his mother found out and scolded him about it.

Shai kept her eye on the ball, though she'd seen Sven step back too. Taking a step forward, Shaira kicked the ball hard to the left (the opposite direction of where she was running) and the ball spun as it sailed through the air, although it was really low to the ground. Without waiting, Shaira took off running towards the first base with a huge smile on her face. She knew for a fact that she was gonna make it. She'd never been struck out before, unless it was because of another kid on her team.

"No freakin way," was the first thing that came out of Sven's mouth as he saw the ball and Shaira going in opposite directions. Shaking his head he ran over to get the ball as the others on his team scrambled for the ball. "Move you idiots." He snapped as he snatched up the ball and threw it to the guy closest to home base. The kd caught the ball almost falling backwards and then waited for the running girl to get close enough to the base for him to hit her with a clean and powerful shot. Releasing the ball with all he had he waited in anticiaption. Sven on the other hand was already running to the otherside incase the kid he'd thrown the ball to missed. He'd catch it and go for a direct hit.

Shai nearly stopped running when she saw that the kid at home base had the ball. How'd he get it so fast? But nonetheless, she only faltered for a second, ducking under the ball as the kid threw it with a grin. "Haha, sucker!" she giggled as she ran for home. She'd almost been there too, but then she felt the ball smack against her back only a few steps before she'd made it. She almost fell forward because of it too, but only stumbled and came to a stop, blinking. "Wha..." She'd never been tagged out before! Who'd....? She turned to see who threw the ball, only to see that it'd been Sven. She sighed. "Darnit...." She'd been so close too!! She crossed her arms and gave a light pout. Yeah, so she was a bit of a soar loser. With her arms still crossed, she walked back to her teammates, hearing one of them saying something about that's why girls shouldn't play sports. "Oh shut up, bet you can't get farther," she told him. Yeap. Short tempered too.

(pouting, yep, that's a sure sign of Serenity.)

Sven grinned as she she was hit. He walked over and picked up the ball and tossed it up and down. "You were almost there," he said. "Almost." He looked over to her and her teammates as it seemed a dispute was going on. "Nice to see someone competetive on these feilds," he said. "Let's finishing playing ball," he said. He turned around to go back to his spot when a chorus of, "Ooooooo's" sounded. Sven turned on his heel to see what was happening.

Serenity had gone back to reading her book after Shai had gotten hit with the ball, chuckling and shaking her head a little, unaware of the situation about to unfold.

Shaira had gone to go back in line, ignoring the other kid. But when the kid had said "Ha! Of course I can kick better than a girl!" it didn't take long before the kid was on the ground. Shaira had pushed him down, then got down and started hitting him. "Yeah, but you can't fight better than one now can ya!!" she said angrily.

Sven was a bit confused at this scene. This girl was beating the crap out of this guy. Wasn't it suppose to be the other way around? Sven shook his head and then ran over and pulled Shaira off of the other kid. "Cut it out you lot. This isn't time to be having friendly fire, you're in a war zone. Team against team, not teammate against teammate." When he'd pulled her off he looked at the other kid with steely eyes, daring him to try something while he had Shaira.

Felix had gotten up to walk about. The chair was starting to make him uncomfortable and Sven was playing kickball with his friends. By the time he'd circled halfway around there was a fight breaking out. Felix hurried across the feild. He'd expected Sven to be involved, but what he saw was just as shocking to him as it was to the seven year old. "Hey, break it up." He said. He grabbed the other boy by the shoulder, trusting Sven to keep the girl in place.

Shai started to struggle away from whoever it was holding her. "Lemme go! Get off me!!" she yelled, trying to get him off her. That idiot deserved it! Who was he to judge her just cuz she was a girl!

Serenity looked up from her book when she heard yelling, only to see Shaira being held back by one of the other kids. "Oh no, not again," she said, putting her book down on the bench and running over to the group. "Shaira!" when she got over there, she took her daughter by the wrist. "What in the world do you think you're doing!" she said, kneeling down to look at her, looking at the other kid who apparently had a bloody nose now. She sighed and looked back to Shaira. "This is the second time this week," she said. Shaira had immediately stopped struggling when she had felt her mom grab her wrist. "He had it comin! He was insulting me!" she said angrily. Serenity hadn't even noticed that Felix was there. "Stay put," she told her daughter, then looked to the other kid. "Come here sweetie," she said. The boy stayed put next to Felix, looking a bit terrified, and Serenity sighed.

Sven held on to Shaira until some lady came up. He let Shaira go and then looked up to his dad who'd held the other boy back. He glanced at Shaira, eavesdropping on the conversation. He grinned. She was a fighter. Neato! He looked at the other kid and stuck his tongue out at him. "Who's the loser now," he snickered. "You let a girl whoop your-" He was stopped and he felt a presence near him. He looked up with a crooked smile.

Felix had let the boy go as it seemed the girls mother was here. He didn't catch a good look at her because Sven wasn't being very nice. "Hey, say what I think you're going to say and I'll be the one doing the whooping," he said messing up the boy's hair. Felix sighed. "How's my little soldier doing?" He asked.

Serenity sighed at the boys reaction. "Where's your mom hun?" she asked the younger boy, who was now glaring at Sven, but didn't dare do anything now that the adults were there. "None of your business!" he said before turning around and running off, apparently about to cry. Shaira had a grin on her face. "Serves you right!!" she yelled after him, but fell silent as her mom looked back at her looking angry. "Eheh...." was all that came from Shaira after that. Serenity had heard the boys father's voice, and it had sounded awfully familiar, but she didn't think anything of it. Serenity stood up. "That's it, we're going home." Shaira looked up at her. "Awww, but why mommy???" she asked. Her shoulders drooped, because she already knew the answer. "Bye Sven..." she said sadly. Serenity shook her head and sighed, looking to the boys father. "Hey, thank you for helping out," she said, then paused when she saw who it was. When she realized who it was, she looked at the young boy that her daughter had identified as Sven, then back to Felix. What was going on here?

Sven's expression changed as Felix ruffled his hair. He moved away from him and then sighed when Shaira said bye. "Awww, don't go," he said. His expression forming into a bit of annoyance at Shaira's mother, but faded when the woman turned to thank his father and then stopped. Sven shivered at as an icy chill passed over him. It was the middle of spring for crying out loud! He looked up to his father then to the woman. Did they know each other?

Felix looked to see what the woman had to say but once he saw who it was his eyes narrowed ever so slightly. "It's been a while," he said calmly. He didn't want Sven thinking someone was about ot happen. The chill thing was an accident though. He'd had a sudden burst of emotion thus creating a spark of chakra outburst though it wasn'd visible. I should have know. I haven't thought about her in years and wala, I think about her for a second and she's infront of my face. Heh, I know magic, now how do I make her disappear.

Serenity couldn't believe her eyes. Was this...was this really Felix's son...? Felix had a son? The kid did look a bit like him. She'd felt the icy chill and knew it was Felix. Yep, he still hated her. Big surprise there. "Yeah it has," she said with a light smile, so their kids didn't worry. Man, that felt weird to think. Felix had a son...who the hell was the mother?! She suddenly found herself thinking, but it didn't show on her face. There was no way in hell she was jealous...no, that just wasn't possible. She thought about sparking up a conversation and asking him about Sven, but decided against it. She could tell from that chill of cold air that he didn't want to see her let alone talk with her. "As much as I'd love to stay and chat though, I have to get Shaira home," she said, casting a glance at her daughter.

Shaira looked between her mom and her friends dad as the two exchanged words. A sudden plan popped into her head. "No mommy it's okay, you can stay and chat as loooongg as you want. I'll just go play with Sven!" she said and suddenly took a hold of Sven's hand and started running towards the playground.

Sven looked between the two adults suspciously. The same idea was going through his head as Shaira's when the woman insisted on leave. "Shaira's right, you two should catch, we'll just be over here playing," he said and then let his new found friend drag him away to go play, leaving the adults awkwardly together.

Yes, this was awkward indeed. Felix turned his head to Sven as he ran off with Shai. What just happened? Did those two just set us up? He wasn't going to leave anyway because Serneity was there. He made sure to bring Sven to the park every weekend so that his son could have some freetime to play. He looked at Serenity and shrugged. His anger disappearing slowly. "Well well, look who it is," he said calmly when the kids were out of earshot. "You seem to be doing well."

Shaira smiled and climbed up onto the playground, peeking out from behind one of the walls at their parents. "I wonder how they know each other," she giggled, looking at Sven. She then shrugged. "So what do you wanna play?" she asked cheerfully. She was glad that she was gonna get some more time to play with her new friend.

"Shaira!" she called after her daughter, sighing when the young child hid somewhere out of sight. This was...a little too awkward for Serenity's liking. She looked at Felix as he started speaking. "Yes, I am actually. And I could say the same for you." She looked towards the playground with a small smile, then back to Felix. "I see you have a son," she said with the same smile. It seemed as if all the other little kids had dispersed when the fight was broken up. Not that Serenity minded much though. She liked kids, yes. Kids eavesdropping...not so much.

Sven shrugged as he leaned against the wall. He wondered where his kickball had rolled off to. "Maybe they grew up together or something." He shrugged again. "Race you to the moneybars," he said sliding off the slide that was attached to the wall. Yesh, this is what he called fun. He started to run, looking over his shoulder. "Nice job kicking that other kids butt."

Felix said nothing as she called for her child to come. She wasn't getting out of this encounter that easy. He grinned. "And you have a daughter," he said pointing out the obvious as she had recently done. "You said her name was Shaira, how cute, where's her father?" He asked. He was curious as to who the child belong to. Hunter crossed his mind, but Hunter had purple eyes, not brown. Jasper was dead, so who else was ther left in the world?

Shaira shrugged when he said maybe they grew up together. "Who knows," she said. She gave a small grin when he said he'd race her to the monkey bars. She quickly kicked off her shoes and ran after him. She hated wearing shoes. They were too...restricting. She liked the feel of grass on her feet. She was quickly catching up to him, giving a laugh when he told her nice job. "He had it comin!" she laughed.

Serenity held back a sigh as he mentioned that she had a daughter. She nodded when he mentioned that her name was Shaira. Her smiled faded when he asked where her father was, then gave a light shrug. "He died a few years back," she told him simply. He needed no more information than that. And the shrug hadn't been because she didn't care, it was quite the opposite actually. She was just sick of getting upset every time something like that was mentioned. "As long as we're gonna be talking, we might as well go sit down," she told him, heading back towards the benches. "Where's Sven's mom?" she asked Felix, hoping for his sake that it wasn't the same situation as hers.

(his sake? what she think he can't handle a kid? He raised two twins just fine. Hmph. Give the guy some credit, shesh.)

Sven laughed as he saw her bear-foot. "Wow, you're just awesome all over aren't ya," he said as finally got to the monkey bares a bit out of breath. He climbed up a few steps and sat down to catch his breath. "That was fun."

Felix had no sympathy for her when she said he'd died a few years back. Big deal, life came and went. He was actually surprised she didn't get teary eyed. He followed her over to the bleachers and sat down. It looked like they'd be a while anyway, since the two kids seemed to be playing to their fullest. "She's working," he said simply. "I bring him here on the weekends so he can get some playtime in."

Shaira giggled as he said that she was awesome all over. "Of course!" No modesty. Sure, her mother was trying to raise her to be sweet and modest, and a lady, but Shaira was a hard one to tame. She smiled, panting a bit by the time they got there. "Yeps," she said when he said that was fun. "Hey Svvveen?" she looked up at him as he sat down, and just plopped herself on the ground. She didn't mind getting a bit dirty, but her mom sure wouldn't appreciate it. "Can I ask you somethin?"

Serenity picked her book back up and simply placed it on her lap when they got to the bleachers and she sat down. She smiled as he said that he brought Sven there on the weekends so he could get playtime in. "That's really nice," she said with a smile. "I'm glad things are working out for you," she said honestly. She really was glad for him. She didn't hate him, even after what had happened when he'd left, which was more than she could say for him. At least, that was what she thought. She looked over to the kids with a smile. "He seems very lively," she said.

Sven looked at her with a raised eyebrow. Wasn't she just self-centered. He shrugged it off and then started to kick his feet back and forth since they were no longer tounching the ground. He smirked as she sat on the dirt then called his name. He frowned. "Can you not call my name like that, it sounds stupid," he said. Yeah, he didn't keep anything to himself, he felt that if he had the freedom of speech then he should use it to his fullest. He tilted his head when asked could he be asked something. "Sure, what is it?" He asked.

Felix shrugged. He derserves it. He wondered if she thought he wasn't capable of getting his life together once he pretty much switched over to the darker side of life. Felix knew his limits and knew how to balance things out. He was still evil as hell, but knew when to behave himself. Being civil was what got him married to Eliade and fathered to Sven and he'd only once regretted it when he remembered Meridian. "He's more than lively, he's my little soldier." He looked at her out of the corner of his eye. "What about her," he asked. "How well is she getting along."
