Krissy sat on the riverbank, throwing random stones forcefully into the river. "Stupid Suri...." she muttered. "Thinks he knows everything, doesn't he? 'maybe you could get some friends if you were nicer' " she said, in an mock-imitating tone. "He doesn't know anything. I couldn't have friends if I wanted them. But I don't want any friends anyways." she said, throwing a rock over her shoulder. Then she heard a rustle in the leaves, as a small grey cat jumped on her. She let out a little scream of suprise when it jumped on her. When she saw what the cat looked like she laughed.

"Hey, you used to be my kitty in the death valley!" she laughed. Her chain belt started slithering around after she did a jutsu, and the kitten started chasing it around. Krissy laughed while she was watching it. For the first time in a while, she felt relatively happy, despite what Suri said. The kitten finally pounced on the chain, hiding it beneath itself so it couldn't get away. Krissy laughed. "That's what I'd do to Saito-sensei if I ever saw him again." The kitten got up, and the chain underneath it was gone. The kitten started looking around frustrated. Krissy sighed. "And that's exactly what he'd do."

Itachi walked out through the open. It had been a while since he'd gotten out of the hideout even with the take over. He was kinda just thinking, and wondered if Jm was against them or not. He wanted to return that pament for messing up his chakara flow. There last battle hand;t ended well.

As he walked he came across Krissy. One of the newest members of the Akatsuki. "Hey Krissy, what are you doing out here," he asked as he came closer giving a small grin at the kitten. He leaned against the tree and waited for an answer.

Krissy looked at Itachi, a bit suprised that he showed up practically out of nowhere. "Nothing, just trying to get a break from some of the others," she said nonchalantly. "What about you? I hardly ever see you anywhere." she added. For some reason, she felt oddly calm around Itachi, even though this was her first time talking to him face to face. The kitten brushed up against Itachi's leg. It had seemed to forget all about the chain, for the moment anyways.

Itachi looked at the kitten then at Krissy. "Just getting some fresh air is all." He looked up at the sky. "How's your first couple of weeks at the Akatsuki so far?"

Krissy wanted to say they had been fine, but that'd be a downright lie. "Not the best, but I'll get used to it." She layed back with her arms behind her head and looked at Itachi, and because she was lying down, Itachi appeared upside down. Why bother lying to him? He'd see through it anyways. Krissy started, then sat back up and looked at Itachi. "Itachi, what did you have to do to get to the level of mangekyo sharingan?" she asked, suddenly anxious.

Itachi looked at Krissy for a second before saying, "I had to kill my closest friend." He stands up straight.

Krissy looked at Itachi, looking a little hopeless now. "Is that the only way to get it?" she asked, hoping there was another way. If that's the case, I'll never get the mangekyo sharingan!
The kitten walked back over to Krissy and she started scratching the back of its ear, still looking at Itachi and waiting for an answer.

Itachi shook his head. "Yes, that's the only way to get to that level of sharingan."

Krissy looked down a bit disappointed. She sighed and layed back with her arms behind her head again. "Oh well. If that's the only way then that's the only way. Nothing to do about it." She looked at Itachi, upside down again. "So how're things going for you?" Something seemed off to her. Anyone else, (with the exception of Deidara) she'd be mouthing off to. Before she even met Itachi, she imagined that she'd probably be mouthing off to him too, but things were different for some reason.

"Things have been busy for me these past months of the takeover." He stopped and thought for a moment. "Other than that I have to say quiet normal." He looked at the sky again and sighed. "This will be a bloody and close battle, are you ready for it?" He asked not looking back down.

Krissy sat up quickly looking a bit excited now. She smiled. "I'm always ready for a fight!" The kitten jumped away from Krissy in surprise. It gave her an angry look and stalked off back into the trees.
