It was mid- afternoon and Kai was outside bored to dead. She was all alone with no friends toplay with. So instead she played with her toys. Even though she was two she knew she was diffrent. She could feel the vampire blood rushing through her veins and she knew that's why she was so alone. She shrugged. Jay and Micah always tried to comfort her but she was such a happy go lucky kid that it never bothered her much. She sighed and looked down the road. Someone was coming up the path to her house but she didn't know who.

Annie walked up the path to the girl's house. She din't know who she was but she seemed alone. "Hello," she said waving and her sleeve slid down her arm. "I'm Annie, what's your name," she asked kindly as she sat beside the girl.

Kai smiled happily as the girl introduced herself as Annie and sat with her. She swore that she was always a weirdo since the day of birth, but now she'd have Annie as a friend. "Hi," she said smiling. "I'm Kai, it's nice to meet you." She said. She shuffled her feet. "Um, you wanna play," she asked.

Annie smiled at Kai. She seemed so shy. "Of course I wanna play," she said standing up. "Let's see what we should do first." She looked around. "Hide and go seek would be nice, but as you see we're the only two people." She laughed. "Tag needs more than two people." She sighed. "I don't know. We could color, I have like twenty books in my bag," she said pulling her bag off and spilling the books and crayons out. "There."

Kai looked at the crayons and books a little wide eyed. "Cool," she said running inside the house and getting a picnic blanket and some sandwhiches. She then laid out the blanket put the sandwhiches on. Grabbed some books and some crayons and flopped down onto the blanket and started coloring. "This is fun," she said.
