Kazuya sat in the training grounds, his legs folded. It was really late, probably almost midnight, but Kazuya hadn't really been paying much attention to the time. He sighed. He'd been sitting there at least an hour trying to figure out what during his fights made him want to change. During his fight with Lora, it had been the simple lust for blood that had made him want to change. During his fight with Bat, it was the thought of Kaz continuously circling around in his mind.

His nose twitched in irritation. What could it be...there two completely different reasons.... He sighed. Maybe I'm just not designed to transform....but any slight glitch would mean I'm not as real as I can be....so what is it..... He put his head in his hands in irritation and fell/layed backwards, facing up towards the sky now. "Argh, what is it?!" he said in irritation. His gaze fell on the full moon and he layed there staring at it, even though he heard footsteps coming towards him, his full attention was on the moon, his face becoming calmer with every passing second.

Kai walked up the hill towards the training grounds. She was going to meet Kazuya to try and change. The vampire side was easy, but turning into a wolf was hard. She looked across the narrow strip and saw Kazuya. "Hi Kazuya," she said. She noticed him looking at the moon. Tonight's the night, she thought.

Kazuya's gaze stayed on the moon a couple seconds before he even realized that Kai had said anything. He sat up and looked at her. "Oh, Kai, you're here," he gave a light smile. "Hi." Even though he was supposed to be focused tonight, he couldn't bring himself to stop glancing at the moon. What if he couldn't control himself when he changed? Would he hurt Kai? He looked down. It was a stupid idea to invite her...I might end up hurting her...I...I don't want to hurt her, she's just a kid.....

Kai smiled. "Don't look so down," she said with a smile. She was looking forward to this. "So are you ready to get started?" She asked.

Kazuya looked at Kai and gave a light smile and a shrug. "Sorry. Ready when you are," he couldn't help but smile at how enthused this kid was about this. She had no worries about it or anything. I shouldn't worry so much...I guess it's just paranoia.... "Hmm...." he looked down a bit. "Any ideas on how to go about this?" He stopped and looked at her. "Hey, Kai, have you ever seen your mom transform?" He asked. Maybe we can get a clue from that... he thought hopefully.

Kai looked at Kazuya and smiled. "Yep, several times." She said. She closed her eyes. "It was like a cycle. First her head, arms, chest, and then her legs. And there was a swirl of colors to," she said.

Kazuya looked down a little. I wonder.... His closed his eyes for a few seconds, then opened them again and they were the yellow-gold color. "Maybe...you have to see yourself as a wolf first in your mind...this sounds so weird...I don't know..." he said quietly. He figured that might be it, but it seemed to simple. But he had never tried it before so he couldn't be sure. "Here, I'll...I'll give it a try first, okay?"

Kai looked at Kazuya. "Yeah, I think that might help." She said. She stepped back some and waited. She wondered what color wolf she was.

Kazuya gave a small sigh. He had no clue how to go about this, but he'd told Kai he'd do it, so he couldn't back down from it. He closed his eyes for a couple seconds and saw in his mind a shadow of a wolf. He could see it's yellow eyes and realized that it wasn't a shadow, that was the actual wolf. Is that...me? he thought silently. He opened his eyes as he felt his chest tighten slightly. Everything looked different somehow...he was still taller than Kai, but not by as much. And for some reason, every muscle in his body now ached. He looked down and his eyes gleamed a little as he saw that he had...paws instead of feet. He layed down and layed his head on his paws. So...this is what it feels like to be a wolf..? I feel completely conscious of everything I'm doing....which means I don't have to worry about accidentally hurting Kai...He gave a small whine. God, my body is killing me though, he thought.

Kai eyes widden. "Wow, you did it!" She said eyes gleaming with excitement. "Now I'll try," she said patting his head. She closed her eyes and then imagined herself as a wolf. Soon she felt as if the world was closing in and then she was on all fours. She gave a grin. I'm a wolf, a white wolf at that. She looked around. She wished she could see her reflection. She only saw her one black paw and her white fur. She looked at Kazuya. They'd done it!

Kazuya looked at Kai and gave a light smile. He wondered if he could talk while he was like this, but he was a little nervous to hear how he sounded. He stood up and shrugged the thought off. He nudged his head a little for her to follow him. He decided to give it a try, so he said "Come on, I have an idea," and he found that his voice was very raspy and sounded almost exactly like a growl formed into words. He started trotting through the open and ended up breaking into a run, just to try it out. He found that he was so much faster than he was in his human form. He stopped when he came to a lake. He looked at Kai and laid down in front of the lake. Something about getting wet didn't appeal to him very much. Even though he was part wolf, he hated the water. Maybe that was what his one flaw was.

Kai shook her head. "Okay," she said. It sounded funny to talk like a wolf but it was still fun. She ran after him enjoying the wind against her fur. She stopped at the lake and looked down. Her fur was fully white and her right ear was a golden brown. She smiled as she looked up at Kazuya.

Kazuya gave a light growl as he glanced into the lake himself. Doesn't it figure they'd make me to be a pure black wolf? He stood up and shook himself off a little. He laid back down and glanced at his back. He felt as if something was missing. He laid his head down, but not before throwing Kai a light smile.

Kai stretched out on the ground. Her ears pricked and her eyes shinning. She wondered what Kazuya had been looking at but she didn't care really. "So, how does it feel to be a wolf on your first try," she asked.

Kazuya gave a light growl and moved his shoulders in something that would've been a shrug if he were in his human form. "It feels...great actually." He sat up as he felt his shoulders ache a little. He had no clue as to why though. He cringed a little and thenext time he looked back he could see wings had came out of his back. (they look sorta like demon/bat wings) Kazuya tilted his head a little. Could these be...vampire wings...? I heard only some vampires have them...but...me? Makes sense though....Kaz wanted everything to be perfect replica of life....and I guess he got it....

Kai eyes gleamed when she saw Kazuya's wings. "Wow," she said. "You're awesome." She'd only know one person who had wings and that was Kraven. Her uncles father.

Kazuya looked at his wings and flapped them just once. They were incredibly powerful for their structure. Kazuya looked up at Kai. He wondered if Kai had wings too. He gave a small smile. "Maybe you have them too. Try and see."

Kai blinked as she watched his wings. "How'd you get yours to come out," she asked a bit embarrassed. She was starting to look up to Kazuya. He was a great person who really was nice and she hoped he'd always be that way.

Kazuya shrugged. "I just looked at mmy back and it felt like something was missing, and as soon as I tried to figure out what, they were just there." He stood up and shook off some, then stretched and loked at Kai with a small smile. He was beginning to enjoy being in his wolf form. He was faster, his senses were stronger, and now he had wings too. He wondered if he could get them in hhis "human" form too.

Kai closed her eyes. She didn't feel as if something was missing. She gave a sad sigh. "I don't feel anything," she whimpered. She blinked. Did I just.....whimper? A smile spread across her face. All these wolf emotions were funny. Growling, whining, whimpering, barking. She looked at Kazuya. "I don't think I have wings. "

Kazuya gave a small frown. He had really hoped that she'd have wings too. He glanced at his back and forced his wings to disappear. He looked at Kai with a small smile. "It's okay. It doesn't really matter anyways."

Kai gave an awkward shrug. "Maybe I'll get them later," she said with a smile. She wondered how Kazuya had gotten his so soon. Well he was older than her and more experienced. So maybe it had something to do with age. She shrugged. Who knew.

Kazuya gave a smile. "Yeah, maybe they just come with age or something." Honestly speaking, Kazuya was really only 15 years old, but his first 4 years he was designed to grow twice as fast as a normal human. He wanted to tell Kai this, but that would include telling her what he was. Kazuya sat down and looked at Kai, his head tilted slightly.

Kai smiled. "Everything comes with age," she sighed. "That's pretty boring." She gave a small laugh and sat back splashing a paw in the water. It was cold and she quickly shook droplets off her paw.

Kazuya gave a small laugh. "That's why I don't like the water." He gave a small shrug. "But when you do grow up, you'll wish you were a kid again. I know I do."
