Family History: Kaoru's family name is Sakaiya, and isn't traditionally a clan of ninja, although Kaoru has made that rule an exception. The Sakaiya clan is very close, and every few months has clan meetings just for the sake of getting the clan together.

Character History: (The earlier parts of her history will be uncovered in a plot line). Kaoru is an adopted child and just recently found out. She was adopted as a baby, and was raised as one of the Sakaiya family's own. Showing promise in fighting skills, she became a ninja early on, with the intent of becoming ANBU rank. Her life picks up right about here: She's still pretty new to being an ANBU, and she just recently (about a week ago) found out that she is an adopted child. At the moment, she could care less about who her real parents are, and more about traveling around the villages. In fact, she's quite against meeting her real parents.

Personality: Kaoru has quite the fiery spirit. She fights with just as much passion as when she first became a ninja. She'll avoid conflict if possible, of course, but she isn't too persistent on that matter. She prefers working alone, rather than in a team and won't admit when she's hurt. Kaoru's a very prideful young woman, taking offense to every little insult to her fighting skills. Because of this, she prefers that when fighting someone, they use their full strength rather than hold back. Kaoru's the type of girl who takes betrayals very hard, and doesn't give second chances very often at all. She gets angered pretty easily as well. But she can be sweet when she wants to be.

Occasionally, you'll see a little dragon-like creature flying around her head, or perched on her shoulder. It's name is Kami. It's pretty much the only one Kaoru feels she can trust at the moment. Everynow and then, Kami will fly off to scope things out, or to take a nap in a tree, being a very immature creature. It cannot speak, but it understands human language all the same. It's a very hot tempered creature and will nip out at anyone it doesn't like. It's only about 2 years old and has white fur rather than scales. Kaoru considers it her personal ninja pet, because it tends to sneak around in the shadows without making so much as a peep.

Kaoru had finally been able to get away from they Crested Village and travel to the Death. She wanted to go to all the villages and see how they were compared to her own home. She looked up at Kami who was her one and only friend. She gave a small smile and then continued on. She was really looking forward to this and kind of trying to get the fact that she was adopted off her mind. She'd learned this news about a week ago. If her parents had wanted to abandoned her and put her up for adoption that was fine, it was no big deal. She liked the parents she had now anyway. The Sakaiya Clan had treated her right from day one and that's all she cared about.
