Bat sat on a rock starring at his hand. The sign of a cross was burned into it from the time he'd shook hands with Halo. Anger flooded him and he stood up and pulled Nightshade and desinagrated the rock. "Damn that angel," he screamed. Bat looked at the crumbled rocks. "How can it even be possible for a demon and angel to touch." He looked up at the sky and sighed heavily. "This is not right. It's impossible. I want answers," he said as he looked towards the forest. Suddenly his other personality took over. "Bat you've got the answers already, you know what you have to do, just suck up these feelings and do it! She must die in order for things to go right again. She's holding you back. With her around there is no way for you to unleash your true power." Bat shook his head. "Shut up," he said as he slashed at the tree until it was no more than a hundred toothpicks. "I have no feelings for that insignificant fool. She's fallen, how can I feel anything?" Right when the darker side was ready to answer a twig snapped under the weight of someone's foot. "Show yourself."

Halo sighed as she walked through the forest. The only marbles she could hold in that accursed marked hand of hers now were the red and black marbles. She couldn't help but wonder how in the heavens something like this could actually happen. It was unheard of! She walked silently with her head down and her white hair covering the sides of her face. As she walked, she heard someone talking, and recognized the voice almost immediately. What she didn't understand is how she didn't feel that horrible aura of his as she walked. For some reason it still didn't feel to her as horrible as it did the first time they'd met, even though she was now aware of it. She stopped as she heard him tell her to show herself, but then stepped out and looked at him. She still had yet to figure out why he'd been up here to begin with. It wasn't possible that he'd been kicked from Hell, was it?

Bat wasn't please at the sight of Halo. "What do you want," he asked in a tone that was mixed with hate and regret. Where in the Hell did he learn to regret anything? Bat sighed. Suddenly he felt drained of everything. How much energy had he used when he was releasing all his anger on trees and rocks.

Halo swallowed at the sight of him. She'd convinced herself that as an Angel it was her duty to hate him. But when did hate ever become a duty? "I don't want anything from you. I was just passing by, that's all." She didn't know if that was completely true. When she was walking, it wasn't blankly wandering, it was more like she was blindly being drawn to this spot.

Bat looked at her with an annoyed look. "Well how about you move along then," he said as he stood Nightshade infront of him. "I'm not up to fighting someone of your stature today," he said in a bitter voice. "You're not even worth it." And since when did you not want to fight, his darker side spoke in his head. Has this Angel corrupted you?

(lmao, it's funny hearing the words angel and corrupt in the same sentence)

She frowned slightly as Bat spoke. "Someone...of my stature? Did I just hear a compliment come from a demon?" she asked looking a little confused. Perhaps what she heard was wrong? Or maybe there was some other way of interpreting it? That had to be it, because she was sure of what she heard. But....a compliment from a demon?

Bat grinned. "Don't flatter yourself, when I said someone of your stature I meant someone as low as you," he said with sly eyes. "Now I'd advise you to get a move on before I decide I'm in the fighting mood," he said in a low sinister voice.

Of course. How could she be so stupid to even think a demon was capable of giving a compliment? Glaring at him, she put her tongue to the inside of her cheek in irritation. "Well then why don't you decide you're in a fighting mood if you think you could take me so easily!" She said angrily. Normally she wasn't like this at all, and would avoid fights. "Hmph, if you could've taken me so easily, how come we had to stop our last fight," she said. She didn't know what it was about this boy that angered her so..

Bat grinned. "If that's what you want," he said he with a small laugh. Picking up Nightshade he released his dark aura, but something had changed. The blade was resisting him. What's happening? Bat switched the blade to his left hand. It didn't have the mark, that must have been the problem. "Dark Nightmare," he said as he jumped at Halo and swung the sword at her. "Have a nice sleep," he said as he blakc eyes shinned with hatred and the lust for her suffering.

Halo glared at him, but noticed that the blade wouldn't work in his right hand. An immediate plan came to mind. One that was probably a little too violent for an angel....As she saw him coming at her she reached in her pocket with her right hand, pulling out the red marble. She wasn't fooling around this time. Grasping the marble in her hand, it disappeared and she quickly raised her hand in his direction, and snapped, causing the pure air by Bat's left arm to explode. She hoped that maybe his arm would be caught in the explosion (toldya it was violent fer an angel). Reaching in her pocket with her left hand, she pulled out the yellow marble and grasped it, causing the sword to appear in that hand.

The explosion caught his arm and it took all he had not to drop the blade. Soon he came to a stop. "Did you really think that would stop me," he said. "I was in hell, fire doesn't bother me." He said. Looking at his arm he noticed that his jacket was ripped. Digging the blade in the ground he unzipped his jacket and dropped it on the ground. He then picked his sword up. "That was rude," he said. "But what more can I expect from you," he said as he turned to face her. "Your move."

Halo glared at him. "Exactly. You were in hell. Why didn't you just stay there?" She said angrily as she swung the light blade at him, sending a wave of light towards him. Let's try something different, she thought, snapping her fingers at the wave of light, and rather than it combusting, the light energy surrounding the wave intensified. Perfect....

Bat looked at her. "Becuase I'd rather cause havoc up here," he said grinning. But in truth Bat would rather be in Hell right now. He wasn't kicked out or anything, but he sure wasn't allowed back in, yet.... Bat looked at Halo as she sent her wave of light and intensified it. Quickly he jumped into the air and landed on a tree. "I think it's about time," he said quietly. He then closed his eyes. Awaken. A black aura surrounded Bat and then it faded. No longer was her the size of a six year old. He was now sixteen. (Like his picture.) "I've been waiting a long time in this world to change," he said. His entire attire had changed and a grin spread across his face. "Let's play," he said as he disappeared and reappeared next to her. He then swung Nightshade at her. "Shatter." Black shards of glass errupted from the ground and went in her direction.

(So I'm guessing this is gonna be our [2nd] epic battle?)

She didn't doubt that that was his real answer. But her training as an angel told her that demons lied more often than not. So was it really the truth? With no time to ask about it, Halo saw Bat jump onto a tree and whisper something, then turn into an older version of himself. Halo swallowed slightly as he said that he'd been waiting to change. There was nothing else to assume other than the fact that his power had grown. And there was nothing else Halo could do but her marbles right now. Seraph Kieran would never allow her her full powers after being kicked out, despite how close they were....

As Bat swung his blade, Halo lifted hers, ready for a black wave that never came. From the ground in front of her, however, glass shards came towards her. Not having enough time to reach for her black marble, Halo attempted to block herself by shielding with her arms, which then were almost covered with the shards, sending bright red blood streaming down her arms. She wanted to reach for her blue marble, but knew now wasn't the time to use it. It would've just been a waste.

Perhaps if the Seraph knew of her position...but how could she possibly contact him? Trying not to shake too much, Halo glared at Bat before swinging her sword towards him twice, one straight at him and one at the air above him, then snapped her fingers at teh two waves, intensifying them yet again. Seraph Kieran, please hear me...I need your assistance, she thought desperately.

Bat stopped her blade with ease. His power had increased, but it wasn't at it's fullest. The younger he was the more compressed it became. But somehow he'd managed to change and even if he did get to his final stage he'd never be able to unleash hus true powers. Especially not with that guardian Coronus watching over him. Bat sighed annoyed. Why would his father curse him like this. Forcing him to live in the human world with restrictions on his powers? Bat didn't have time to think it over because the waves had intensified. Quickly he backed away. "Aren't you persistant, but if you haven't noticed, that won't work anymore." He said with a sinister laugh.

Halo bit her lip when she saw that her waves had no effect. The yellow marble reappeared in her hand and she put it back in her pocket, then pulled out the pink and green marbles. She closed them both in her hand. Using three marbles at a time was pushing her limit. Most of the time she could only use two at a time. She'd have to find a way to finish this, and quick. Disappearing form her spot, Halo reappeared in front of Bat and tried to punch him in the stomach, using the extra force from the green marble.

Bat found it easy to find where she was, but still he felt as though Nightshade was rejecting him. As the punch made contact he doubled over. And the force was like Hell itself. Blood started to drip from his mouth and he wiped it away. "Nice shot," he said in a hushed voice. "My turn." Bat turned slightly and kicked her back. Just moving hurt. This can't be, is she really stronger than me?

Despite the fact that she'd landed her punch, she felt a slight burn in her own hand. There was something about contact between them...between and angel and a demon...that just shouldn've been possible. As she heard him say his turn, Halo immediately went to turn, trying to block his kick with her arms. The sheer force of the kick sent her flying across the ground. As she landed, dazed, she felt immense burning in her arms, where the glass shards had landed not too long before. Reaching slowly into her pocket, she pulled out the blue marble and held it in her palm. Four marbles...she was going to pass out soon if she wasn't careful. The glass shards fell out of her arm as the wounds healed and the blue marble reappeared as a crimson red marble. She pocketed it and looked at Bat, an almost dazed look on her face. It was clear she would receive no help from the Seraph. She was on her own. Halo got up, stumbling once. She couldn't keep this up much longer. Which meant....taking out his left arm was her only option now. She had to do something....Halo disappeared and reappeared in front of Bat, grabbed his arm and attempted to throw him into/through a tree.

Bat was still recovering so he didn't have much time to stop her from throwing him through a tree which to his surprised was alot more painful than before. "Why am I weaker?" He whispered. Stamding up dusted himself off. "You're a real bother," he said as he picked up his sword. "This fight is really becoming tiresome. Why don't you be a good little angel and rejoin your friends," he said. "Dark Tendrils." Black shadows raced t Halo attempting to suffocate her with deadly grrips.

Once again, Halo's hit made contact, but once again, her hand burned. Looking at him as he picked up his sword, she couldn't help but doubt that she would survive this time around. Swallowing as she saw the shadows come at her, Halo couldn't help but go into panic. She snapped her fingers at the ground several times, in an effort to stop the shadows, but they kept coming. Halo felt them wrapping around her, and struggled to get away, but it didn't work. She could feel the shadows starting to close off her breathing, as it became heavier.

Bat grinned and walked forward. His black eyes sly and sinister. "I told you once, darkness always overcomes the light," he said with a small hysterical laugh. "How does it feel to be dying by the one you despise most. It's glorious on my part," he said. He then moved forward. "You should have really left when I told you to," he said. "I guess that since you're Fallen you're just begging to rejoin your friends in Heaven aren't you," he said. "But I'll let you in on a little secret. Those who Fall stay down, meaning you're going to Hell." He said as he lifted the blade. It's green aura had finally returned. He then lifted it. A faint green circledd appeared around the two of them. "Your time has come," he whispered. "Far well," he said. He then cut the sword down when suddenly a light filled the forest. Bat blinked and stepped back surprised. His arm felt as though it was on fire and it wasn't pleasant. He dropped the sword to see the cross was glowing. Bat swallowed and collasped. The shadows that held Halo disappeared and Nightshade's aura faded into nothingness.

Halo could barely stay conscious enough to glare at Bat as he spoke. How could she've lost like this? The least she could've done is to take him down with her. Halo closed her eyes tight as she saw Bat about to bring his sword down. But right as she closed her eyes she saw a light, then felt the shadows release her. She fell to her knees breathing heavily, the pink and green marbles reappearing, but not the red one. Halo looked at Bat, who'd collapsed. She wondered why...she hadn't done that much damage to him. At least, not from what she'd noticed. He'd certainly had enough energy to cloak her in shadows. But then the other question came up...what was that light? Could it've been....Seraph Kieran? Perhaps he had heard her afterall! She knew he was the one angel she could always count on!

(lmao, ur right she does have too much faith in him.)

Bat blinked as he stood up. "What the hell was that," he asked to no one inparticular. He then looked up and saw Halo. "What's she so freaking happy about," he said. His voice cracked with disappointment that he'd failed his task. His father would be disappointed. And at that thought the memory replayed.

He was in Hell again, about four years old. He was standing next to Coronus and his father was on the throne. "It's time for you to leave Bat, the time has come for you to go to the Human world." Bat looked confused. "Don't speak my son, just do. You will not be given your full powers, Coronus will see to that." At the mention of his voice Coronus bowed down. Bat watched him then turned to his father but before he could speak the Devil was speaking once more. "You will be granted Nightshade, now go."

Bat shook hsi head to dismiss the memory. "Damnit," he said as he hit the ground. "That damned pet of my father. He's on such a short leash. If I ever get back to Hell I'll kill them both," he said bitterly as he stood. He picked up Nightshade but the blade had fallen back into sleep and would be no use for the rest of the fight. If the fight continued that was. Bat walked to Halo and picked her up by the collar of her shirt. "I wouldn't get to happy," he said. "This is not over and I will not let you get away without a reminder that you're still Fallen." He said as he fangs started to show. (Not no Dracula fangs though, more like Underworld. :} ) Bat then grinned. "A gift from me to you," he said.

Halo looked at Bat as she heard him start mumbling and swallowed. Although she'd been saved once by the Seraph, who's to say that Bat was ready to give up? Halo tried to get up as she saw Bat coming towards her, but whatever remaining strength she had left seemed to have been zapped right from her. She felt her heart pounding as Bat picked her up by her shirt and saw his fangs. "Wh-what are you doing? G-get off-" Her eyes widened as she felt his fangs sink into her skin. All of a sudden she felt very...cold...Her breaths immediately became shallower and her sight started fading. In a matter of moments, she'd passed out. Even passed out, she felt something calling her, but couldn't figure out what it was...

(stay with it, she'll wake back up in a minute or so)

Bat dropped Halo on the ground and backed away. He was dead tired. He'd just used up the last of his strength. Slowly he leaned against a tree and slid down to the ground. He then closed his eyes. He felt himself fading into unconsiousness but he had to wait. Sure he'd made his mark, but he needed to stay awake to make sure the change had been completed because at times when you used alot of your energy and tried to change a person it didn't work. And the last thing he wanted was to die in his sleep if she decided to take advatange of his short rest.
