"Nyx, Ami's coming home today, you should be getting ready!" his father called to him. Nyx sat idly on the couch, then looked at his dad as he spoke. "I don't get what the big deal is," he said, hiding his anger. "She's only leaves for a month at a time. Why does she get a big welcome back party every time? It's pointless and a waste of what little money we have." His father glared at him. "You should be delighted when she comes home, she's the one who brings the money home to begin with!" Nyx stood up angrily, not hiding it anymore. "I do just as much as she does for this family, why is she the only one who gets credit for it! If she was the only one bringing home money, we wouldn't have this house!" he yelled angrily. He started for the door. "Call me when she leaves again." Nyx's mother looked at him. "She's staying here for a week before she leaves again Nyx." Nyx stopped for a second and looked down. "Like I said," he said angrily. "Call me when she leaves again." Then he walked out of the house.

Nyx sat on a bench in the park, his eyes cast on the ground. Why was Ami the only one who got credit for it? So what if she did things a little differently? He brought home more than she did, more often than she did. She was only 5 years older than him...He'd need something to do for the next week now. Maybe he should ask the kage for an A-reanked mission, but after his encounter with her he doubted that would happen. He sighed and crossed his arms, looking up only when someone stopped in front of him. "What do you want?" he said angrily, his eyes still downcast.

Kenjiro looked at the kid,surprised he was sitting here and he had an angry feel coming off him."You okay?"he asked,looking at him.He sat beside him,surprised by the angry feeling coming off him.

Nyx almost jumped out of his skin as the man sat next to him, then glared at him. "I'm fine," he snapped. "Now what do you want?" Nyx wasn't in the mood to deal with this clown. Even if the guy was older than him, if Nyx had to cuss him out to get the guy to leave him alone, he would. What was with people always trying to help him when he was angry? Didn't they get it? He didn't exactly like being seen like this. He always revered his anger as weak, and that was something he hated to even consider himself as.

"Just was wondering,"he said,smiling and ignoring the yelling.He sat back in the chair.Just because the kid wanted to have an attitude,didn't mean he was going to let it ruin his down time.He was going to use this to rest.

Nyx frowned at this guy as he continued to act all cheery. What the hell is with him? He thought angrily. "Wondering, right. How about you go wonder somewhere else?" He asked, looking off to the side, his arms still crossed. His expression wasn't quite angry anymore, but it still was far from friendly.

"Nah,it's perfect here.When one just sits back and relaxes,one feels a sense of calm and peace,a thing ninjas don't feel that often and are glad to get,"he told him.A gently breeze blew by,cooling the skin.

Nyx blinked at Kenjiro and then burst out laughing. "What the heck are you, some kinda philosopher ninja or something?" He said, holding his stomach as he laughed. "That sounds hilarious!"

Kenjiro laughed a bit himself,realizing it was a bit funny."Yeah,I suppose you could call me that,"he told Nyx."But,have you every tried it,just sitting down,breathing slowly and letting the winds carry your troubles away?It's part of being a ninja,"he told him.

Chuckling a little, Nyx looked at Kenjiro and raised an eyebrow at what he'd asked. "I've never tried something like that, but partly because it sounds rediculous. Being a ninja is about constantly being on your toes, waiting for whatever's going to happen next. There's never any time to sit down and relax," he said with a shrug. Nyx had never quite gotten the chance to talk to a ninja...or a person for that matter, who wasn't intent on beating the crap outta him for something stupid he'd done. This was, in a word, sort of refreshing.

Kenjiro nodded."True,but being too tense is a bad thing as well.Being too tense can have you focusing on one opponent when there's actually several you need to be focusing on.If you're relaxed while on your toes,you can focus on your full surroundings,"he told him.He could tell he was enjoying this conversation and so was Kenjiro.He liked explaining this.

Nyx frowned at the first part of what Kenjiro'd said. The first thing that came into his mind when he thought of the word opponent was Ami. He looked off to the side, partly ashamed of himself. He shouldn'tve been mad at Ami, afterall, it was his parents who treated him like crap. Ami'd done everything for him. Nyx sighed. "I guess that's true," he said, almost reluctantly.

"So,for whatever has angered you,I offer this advice:calm down,realize the real ''opponents'',"he said,making quotation marks in the air,"and go to someone that has made you happy and has been kind to you always,"he told him."And if being with that person is hard,just come here,sit back,relax and let the wind blow your troubles away,"he told him.Another gentle breeze blew in,this one a bit warmer.

Nyx looked at Kenjiro for a few seconds and snickered a little, then crossed his arms behind his head. "Jeez, you sure talk weird. 'Let the wind blow away your troubles'," he mocked with a laugh. "What's your name anyways?"

"Kenjiro,"he told him,glancing at him.He could tell he was calmer now."What about yours?"he asked.They'd had this entire conversation and hadn't even known the others name.

Nyx looked at Kenjiro with a small smirk, then looked back in front of him, his eyes wandering around the park. "Nyx," he said calmly. Could it be possible that he'd just made a friend? That wasn't something that happened often. People normally got sick of his incesent whining pretty fast. This guy...Kenjiro...sure was weird. But Nyx was glad he'd found a decent person to talk to.

Kenjiro smiled."That's a cool name,"he said,smiling.He'd never heard a name as unique as his.It was a really cool name."So,are you feeling better now?"he asked.

Nyx turned a little red. He'd never really thought of his name as cool before,maybe a little wierd, but never cool. "Uh, thanks, I guess." He looked at Kenjiro at his question and gave a smirk. "Not at all," he said sarcastically.

Kenjiro smirked back,chuckling a bit."Great,"he said.He popped his neck and got up."Huh,well,resting is fun,but I've got to get back to work,otherwise my kage will kill me,"he told him.Stretching,he turned to him."You should probably get back to wherever it is you need to go to as well.I'm pretty sure there's someone worried about you,even if you won't admit it."

Nyx looked at Kenjiro as he got up and gave a small scoff. "Yeah right. No one bothers worrying about me cuz they know it's pointless," he said defiantly. One little chat wasn't gonna change much when it came to his attitude. Nyx got up too and looked at Kenjiro. "Later," he said before walking off. He stopped and looked over his shoulder at Kenjiro. "Nice meetin ya," he said before continuing to walk.

"Nice to meet you,too!"he called back,smirking.He began to walk off himself.That kid's got a future,even if no one believes in him,I do,he thought,smiling.He could be a kage even.
