Deita walked quietly through the unknown. He didn't know what to expect there, but nor did anyone for that matter. For all he knew, somewhere out there, there could be another moon village. And he was intent on finding it. But he knew that if there was a village it would be days away. He'd have to wait until he was a full fledged ninja before he could go look for it. That would be his goal from now on; become a ninja so he could find the second moon valley. He sighed. He'd just gotten out of school, but it was already getting dark. Towards the vallies, he could see it was still light. Jeez, what a creepy place, he thought, turning around. He gave out a small jump as he saw someone coming from the direction he'd just came from.

Kai skipped along the unknown. Though she was carefree she made sure to keep alert. This was the unknown afterall. Who knew what lurked. As she entere deeper into the place she started to slow her pace. It was quiet and getting dark. Had she been there that long already? She shrugged it off and started walk until she spotted a figure. She resisted from pulling a kunai out. This figure was taller than her. "Hello," she said cheerfully.

Deita stopped immediately to scan the figure as it came into view. It looked like it was a little girl. With...white hair. Something about her hair kinda reminded him of snow, but, more than that, it kinda reminded him of the glow of he full moon. He walked cautiously up to her and gave a small smile. "Hi," he said, trying to keep eye contact. "I'm Deita," he said, his voice little more than a whisper.

Kai smiled back. It was nice to meet someone about her age every now and then because she didn't have many people to talk to. "Nice to meet you Deita," she said. She liked his name, it was really cool. "I'm Kai." She gave a slight smile. "What brings you to the Unknown," she asked. She'd nearly forgotten where they were for the moment.

Deita shrugged at her question. "I was....looking for something. I just realized that I'm probably not gonna find it for a long time though," he said quietly. "Why are you here though?" He looked up at the dark sky for a moment. Boy, it gets dark here really fast... he thought, a slight shiver running down his spine before he looked back at Kai.

Kai smiled as he said he was looking for something. It sounded like exploring to her. "Well, I'm out here because I currently have nothing to do and what better place to find something of intrest besides the Unknown," she asked with a bright smile.

He couldn't help but give a smile when she smiled. Who went out into the unknown because they had nothing to do? Nonetheless, he was glad that he met her. Maybe he'd make a friend in this new life of his. His smile didn't fade much as he looked around then back at Kai. He didn't want to seem like a coward (as any Moonshine child that did was considered weak), so instead of asking if she minded if they left, he said "Well, do you mind if I come with you?" quietly.

Kai practically glowed when he asked if he could join her. "Of course," she said as she glanced around. She just hoped they weren't lost. This place was always changing. Kai stepped forward. "This way," she said not showing any signs that she had no idea where they were. "So Deita, when the time comes for you to find that place you were talking about, can I join you?"

Deita smiled a little and followed after Kai. His smile faded slightly as she asked if she could help him find what he was looking for. He wasn't sure. Was that allowed? Bringing outsiders to the Cycle Villages? He was sure since he was a member of the Moonshine clan that if he trusted her, then so would they. His smile returned and he nodded. "Absolutely," he said quietly. He looked around a little. He didn't know this place well, but it didn't seem to him like they were going in any specific direction. "So, uh, where're we going?"

Kai smiled when he told her that she could come. This made her feel warm and as though she had made a step to becoming his friend. Then he had to ask that dreadful question. "Um.." She stopped. She had to think. The place was always changing, but she had a keen sense of smell right. A light bub when on and she closed her eyes and let the scents drift towards her, that's when it hit her. She couldn't get a scent on anything. "Um...We may have a problem," she said turning to face him. "I think we're lost."

Deita looked at her as she stopped and stopped too. He blinked as she said that she thought they were....lost? A panic button went off somewhere in his head, but he tried not to let it show. "We're....lost?" he said quietly. He looked up at the sky and to his dismay, saw that, if there was a moon that night, it was blicked out by clouds. He could've known where they were had he known where the moon was. He looked back at Kai. "W...what do we do?"

(not the greatest of thoughts huh.)

Kai tried not to look panicked, but was falling. "We'll get out of here, and if we're gone for too long people will come looking for us," she said. Her brain was trying to find a rational solution, but she couldn't grasp anything logical. "Um, how about we just keep walking. Eventually we'll get out," she said. "Or backtrack."

(lmao, so true)

Deita looked at Kai and swallowed, nodding slightly. "We should try to backtrack," he said quietly, swallowing again. He looked around and then back to Kai. "I didn't really think we'd even gone out so far...." he said, even more quietly.

Kai sighed. "Hey don't worry," she said. "I'll get us out of this." She felt like a big sister. Not like when Kymir was around because he always seemed to be distant, withdraw, but with Deita it was easy to talk to him, maybe it was because she didn't know him. Who knew? Straightning up she started back from the direction they came keeping her eyes open for anything unusual.

Deita followed quickly after Kai, looking around as they went. "N...none of this looks familiar," he said quietly. He sighed and kept close behind Kai. What if no one finds us?, he thought, but then tried to shake it out of his head. Someone would find them. He hoped.

Kai glanced over her shoulder at Deita. "This place changes alot," she said. "Just have to keep moving." Her voice was becoming a bit more steady. Think of it as a mission, she told herself. "The Unknown is exactly like it's name, but that doesn't mean we can't get out. Regardless of whether comes looking for us or not we've gotta keep moving because eventually they'll be an exit. Once we get there we just find our way back to our own Vallies," she said. Kai closed her eyes and listened for a second. She couldn't hear anything moving, but she 'd rather be safe than sorry.

Deita nodded as she spoke. Somehow he felt safer with her around. Even though she wasn't much older than him. He walked up next to her and looked at her as she closed her eyes. "Why do you keep doing that?" he asked quietly.

Kai smiled and looked back. "I'm concetration on our surroundings," she said. She didn't want to tell him that she was a wolf becase he might get scared and run away getting himself even more lost in this place, and she didn't want to tell him this place was dangerous because some people never came out. Great way to scare yourself Kai, she thought with dread. She then looked around as a branch snapped. "Oh great," she said. He voice thick with something mixed withe raw fear and anger.

Deita tilted his head tot he side a little in confusion as she said she was concentrating on their surroundings. Wouldn't it be easier though to look around? But then again, it was so quiet that they would be able to hear a pin drop, even on the grass. Deita gave a small jump as he heard a twig snap and instinctively reached for the sword that at any other time, would've been positioned on his back. He'd been forced to hide it at the orphanage so that the other kids didn't steal it. He'd told himself that he wouldn't carry it with him until he was a genin, but now he regretted that decision. So instead, he pulled out a kunai and, against his better judgement, took a step towards the sound. "Who's there?" he asked, a little more loudly than normal, and a little fear leaking into his voice. It was only intstinct that, since he was a part of the elder clan of his village, he had to try to protect others. The only problem was, he was never a very brave child like the others of the elder clan.

Kai pulled a kunai as another branch snapped. Whatever was in there was not human because the snap was much louder than before. Kai swallowed and stepped back before as a loud roar errupted near from infront of them. Bracing herself for an attack she nearly screamed as a creature shot from the bushes. It was atleast fifteen feet long and had slimy scales covering it's body. It was a dark shade of brown with yellow eyes and rezor sharp teeth. Kai dropped her kunai in fear and pushed Deita to the side as the creature jumped at them. Kai rolled onto the ground and stood up quickly. "We've gotta get out of here," she said in a fully paniced voice.
