Deita looked up at Deidara as he told him to stop. Didn't matter anyway, he was sure he'd got Xantrex that time. His shoulders slunk slightly though as he saw Xantrex walk towards them unharmed. What was with this guy! How come he wouldn't get hurt!! Deita put his sword back in it's sheath and crossed his arms angrily, glaring at Xantrex. "Shutup," he said angrily, when Xantrex said he had a knack for destruction, but then he looked around and realized what Xantrex'd meant. "Oh," he said quietly. "Oops...."

Bat stood up and walked into his bedroom. He'd just gotten out of the shower when he picked up a scent. It was different than what he was used to. "Maybe it's the water," he said as he dropped the towel on the bed and left for the Main Room. The scene before him wasn't exactly what you'd call ordinary at the Akatsuki. Sure he was used to Akatsuki going at each other's necks, but this was not it. Walking deeper into the room he saw Deidara, Xantrex, and child about his age. "Who's this," he asked.

Xantrex laughed at the kid's obvious obliviousness to what he'd done. "No worries kid," he said, doing a jutsu and touching both the floor and the couch before doing a handsign. Rewind, he thought silently. Both the floor and the couch seemed to go back in time to a point where neither was destroyed. He looked at Bat as he came in and asked who the kid was. "This is Deita, Deidara's newest recruit."

Deidara grinned. "Good, he'll make a great addition." Deidara then looked to Deita who seemed to have just noticed what had happened. Then someone was in the room. "Speak of the devil," he said. "Just who I wanted to see." He looked at Deita while Xan cleaned up the mess. "Deita, this is Bat. Bat this is Deita. You're new partner."

(lol, nice choice of words Dei: Speak of the devil, lol)

Deita blinked as he watched Xantrex fix both the floor and the couch with ease. Deidara wasn't kidding when he said there were people here who weren't like others. Xatrex was just downright wierd though. Deita looked at the younger kid as he came in. He was still older than Deita though. Deita looked up at Deidara as he said that this was Bat. This kid was creepy. But Deita'd told himself that the next person he wouldn't be shy around. And Bat just had to be that next person. Deita swallowed and looked at Bat. "Hi Bat," he said, trying not to sound shy. He couldn't really tell if he was doing a good job or not though.

Pheonix entered the room only to find it was filled with people. He took a full look at the scene. Deidara, Xantrex, Zeo, and a child he did not know. Someone must have brought him in. "Evening," Pheonix said. He then took a seat on one of the seats and waited quietly while fumbling with a Ace of Hearts.

Deita looked at Pheonix as he walked in. There seemed to be more akatsuki coming out now, and Deita wasn't sure whether or not to be intimidated. Swallowing slightly, Deita looked at Pheonix as he sat down and spoke. "Hello," he said as calmly as he could. "I'm Deita." Deita's eyes slowly wandered to the card Pheonix was holding, and he couldn't help but wonder why the guy was carrying a card around with him.

Bat didn't look pleased with the news of this kid being his partner. Was Deidara really setting him up like this. He looked to the kid for a moment and then to Deidara to see if he had anything else to add but Pheonix had walked in. Bat wondered if he had gotten over the beating Deidara had given him, or if Deidara had even informed Deita about the beatings he dished out. Bat grinned and looked to the boy. "Why are you here?" He asked slyly.

Deita turned to Bat as he heard him talk. Bat was grinning and Deita had no clue why. This kid gave him the creeps, but Deita wouldn't let him know. He wouldn't let this other kid think he was weak and afraid either. Quickly, Deita thought of a response that wouldn't give away his intentions, but at the same time hopefully wouldn't start a fight. "Because I can be," he said, just as slyly as Bat. Somehow, Deita felt satisfied with that answer and held back a grin himself.

Itachi entered the room without notice of who had been in there. Walking into the kitchen he sat on one of the bar chairs and looked at the group. "Welcome," he said to Deita. He then looked towards the others. "Hello, Bat, Pheonix, Xantrex, Deidara." Itachi didn't know where the new kid had come from, but he had a good idea as to why he was here. "I'm Itachi," he said.

Pheonix looked at the child as he watched he spoke his name. "I'm Pheonix," he said tilting his hat a bit. He then twisted the card once more and watched it disappear. "Hello Itachi," he said quietly before looking back to the new recruit and Bat. They seemed to be struck in conversation. Pheonix didn't talk with Bat, the guy was down right weird, but even with that he knew Bat was not normal. But there might have been a chance that Deita would get along with him if he could match of with Bat. Krissy had, somehow. Pheonix shrugged. He wasn't about to rack his brain for answers to riddle that could not be solved.

Bat grinned. "I don't like sarcasism," he said lowly. He then followed up with a laugh. "But it doesn't matter," he held out his hand. "I'm Bat," he said. Sure everyone in the room had said his name, but he thought it better to introduce himself. "I think I might just get along with you, might." Bat then looked at Itachi and gave him a long look. Examining him, trying to find out what he was thinking in that brain of his. Turning his head back to Deita, he waited for the other kids reaction.

Deidara watched as other started to come in. It was about that time anyway. Sinking down into a couch he watched Bat and Deita. The kid had some fire in him. Hell, he was suprised him and Bat didn't start going at each other's throats. Carefully he observed. Would Deita accept Bat's handshake, or would he do something else, something more daring. Personally Deidara wanted to see the Deita turn on Bat. A fight between the two would be great. Deidara smirked. He had a very pleasing idea on his part.

Eve was in her room brushing her short ragged hair. She looked into the mirror and sighed. Like always, it never turned out how she wanted it to. She opened the door and headed to the kitchen. Instead of going strait forward to the kitchen, she decided, since the main room was more crowded with others, she would see what was up. "Dei, Itachi, Xan, Bat, Phoenix, New kid, evening!" She looked at the new kid with her green eyes. "Who's he?" he asked no one in particular.

Deita blinked and looked at Bat as he held his hand out. He took a moment to consider his options. He could accept the handshake, and possibly get along with Bat, which would work out quite well since they were to be partners. Deita didn't want to go around making enemies in the akatsuki as soon as he got there, that wouldn't be the best idea. And what would the possible consequences be if he befriended Bat? There was the chance that Bat could turn on him of course, but how likely was it? It couldn't be too likely. With all these thoughts going through Deita's head in only a fraction of a second, Deita cracked a smile and took Bat's hand. "We'll see," Deita said, then looked to the newer akatsuki who came in. There were quite alot of them. He started wondering if maybe he should wait to introduce himself until the rest of the akatsuki came in, but he didn't exacty know how many there were, so he'd just have to keep introducing himself. "My name's Deita," he said to Itachi and Eve, then looked at Eve. "And you are?" He didn't know if it was the new environment or the fact that he'd be staying here permantently, but it seemed to him that the longer he was there, the braver he got with speaking.

Krissy walked into the main room, hearing everyone coming out for some reason. She wanted to see what was going on. When she walked in, she saw a little boy, probably not much younger than Bat. Hmm, another newbie, huh? she thought, a small grin sliding over her face. It was time to have a little fun. Krissy saw Bat and Deita shake hands just before she came in and heard him introduce himself to Eve and Itachi. She walked over to Bat, standing next to him and looking at him. "Making friends with the newbie, huh Bat?" she said with that same grin. She looked to Deita. "You just got here now, didn't you? I'm Krystalia," she said, a mischievious gleam in her eye. It wouldn't be long before this kid decided to leave the akatsuki. He looked way too soft. "You plan on staying here long?" she asked, amusement in her tone.

Deita looked at Krystalia as she walked in, blinking once as she spoke to Bat. Newbie? he thought, a little irritated at that single word. "Yeah, I just got here," he said, trying to keep his voice from being quiet. Something about this girl bothered him and at her next question he figured out what it was. Was he planning on staying long? Immediately he saw that she thought he was weak, and took offense to that almost more than what Xantrex had said before all these people started filing in. "Yeah. I might even stay longer than you," he said, his eyes cold. He didn't know how long this girl'd been here, but if she kept trying to insult him, she might not be here much longer.

Eve nodded and gave a smile to Detia, "I'm Eve, nice to meet ya" When Krissy came in the rolled her eyes. "You always like to mess around with your own age don't ya, or is it just the newbee's that spring you anger out?" she asked with a smirk of laughter. "OK, lets not fight, You can make him suffer later Krissy, but for now, welcome the new kid." She said moving throgh the others to sit down. For some reason she always prefer to sit by Deidara. It might have been either wanting to be leader someday, or something else. Today she decided to sit farther from him. She didn't like things to be to obvious.

Bat grinned and dropped his hand to the side after shaking Deita's. He then looked over to Krissy as she came in. "Not exactly, just getting to know him. He's my new Partner, that leaved you with Krystal," he said. His voice was switching back and forth. He slowly turned to Eve as she came in. He didn't get that woman for the life of him. But he did know she was a suck up and it pissed him off. Turning from her without speaking he looked to Deita. This kid was sarcastic, he might make it, despite his appearance.

Deidara was mildly disappointed in the result of Deita and Bat, but he couldn't have everything his way. Leaning back into the couch and lifting his arms up so that they'd be on the top he looked at the group of he led. "Hmm, I think we should see just how strong Deita really is," he said. He looked to the newer Akatsuki. "Are you up for it?"

(oh god...*getting bad juju vibes*)

Deita looked at Eve as she told Krystalia to leave him alone. He might get to like Eve, she seemed nice enough. His gaze moved to Deidara though as he suggested that they see just how strong Deita really was. A small grin came over Deita's face as Deidara asked if he was up for it. "Absolutely!" he said, excited at the chance to get to prove that he belonged here. He couldn't help but wonder though, if everyone who came here went through this; this whole being introduced to the rest of the akatsuki, then tested. He was quite sure that no new recruit had destroyed the place like he did the moment he'd gotten there. He wondered silently what kind of test Deidara had in mind.

Krissy glared at Eve as she spoke to her and rolled her eyes. "Oh shove it up your-" she stopped as she heard Deidara say they were going to test how strong Deita was, and looked at the new kid with a grin as he oh-so-peppily said that he was up for it. This kid had no idea what he was getting himself into. No matter how, or who, Deidara chose to test the kid, he was most likely about to enter a world of pain. Krissy turned to Eve, her grin fading, and said "And for the record, it's not just newbies that piss me off, it's most people, you included," sticking out her tongue at Eve. Sure it wasn't the most mature thing to do, but she was still a kid afterall.

Deidara stood up. "Then it's settled, meet me outside in half an hour," he said. "And maybe we can watch others pound on one another as well." He said looking at Eve and Krissy. He then looked at Deita, "For your sake, I hope you're prepared for this," he said. He then looked to everyone else. "Until then."

Deita looked at Deidara as he said for him to meet him outside in half an hour and nodded. He gave a small smile at his comment that was obviously directed at Krystalia and Eve. A flash of nervousness came over his face as Deidara said he hoped Deita was ready for this, but an instant later was replaced with determination. He nodded at Deidara as he looked around at the other akatsuki. I'm definitely ready for this. I won't even give him the chance to regret asking me to join, he thought silently.
