Xantrex walked calmly up to Deidara's room. He hoped he wouldn't regret this decision in the future. Either things were going to turn out the way he'd planned, or they wouldn't. It didn't matter, because he knew what he had to do. Walking up to Deidara's door, he knocked on it twice and waited for a response.

Deidara opened the door with a smug look on his face. When he saw it was Xantrex he motioned him into the room. "What do you want," he asked. Deidara rarely gave a formal greeting and it looked like this was not one of those rare days. In fact he was a in a sour mood.

Xantrex held back a sigh. Of course he'd catch Deidara on a day he wasn't in a good mood. But that was just his luck. He walked into the room, making sure to take note of where the shadows were in case he needed to make a quick getaway. He had no problems with running, especially if it was from Deidara. It was that moment though, that he realized he'd been planning for everything except what he was going to tell Deidara. Xan crossed his arms and leaned against one of the walls, looking at Deidara. "Deidara, I'm leaving the akatsuki," he said, as plainly as he could. "I wanted to make sure you knew before I up and disappeared." But the hell if he cares if I disappear, he thought, holding back a small grin.

Deidara was standing near his nightstand by the time Xantrex was in the room. When Xantrex said he was leaving, Deidara was halfway towards Xantrex before he could even start the second sentence. "Akatsuki don't just get up and leave," Deidara said. "They either one of two things. They die, or I they get kicked out, but no one just leaves."

Crap, Xan thought as he saw Deidara start towards him. I would've been better off just leaving without notice, he thought, uncrossing his arms in case he needed to do a jutsu. As Deidara finished telling him that no one just left the akatsuki, Xantrex stood up straight, not leaning on the wall anymore. "Unfortunately, I've decided to." He knew this was gutsy and Deidara would eventually kill him for that little comment, but he had to play his part well. "I've been starting to wonder whether or not joining was a good idea in the first place. The akatsuki isn't going anywhere Deidara, you see this. We're not making any progress. And I've decided that my time'd be better spent elsewhere," he ended simply. Part of this was true. Part of it wasn't. "You can certainly try and stop me from leaving, but I can guarantee you won't get very far." Okay, now he was just taunting, and perhaps having a little fun with it too. "So you can either allow me to leave without a fight, or you can try to stop me, but either way, I won't waste anymore of my time here." Xan's eyes rested on Deidara, waiting for his response.

That was npt a wise decision on Xantrex's part. Regardless of wether the guy was a possible third in comman for Deidara, the brat had used up all his escape unharmed passes. Deidara moved in a blur as he raised his fist and just just as quickly as he'd brought it up, he brought it down on the side of Xantrex's face. If he dodged, then Deidara had prepared to kick him into a wall. It was time, to teach Xantrex his first lesson.

Xantrex'd almost forgotten how fast Deidara really was. He'd expected the first punch to come, so he did manage to dodge that, but as Deidara always was, he had a back-up plan. Xantrex hit the wall with a loud smack, and was a bit dazed for a moment. I knew I shoulda just left without saying anything, he thought in irritation. Hoping that he could pull it off before Deidara's next strike, Xan started a jutsu and tried to melt away into the shadow of the wall he'd just hit. Maybe it'd be harder to get away than he'd anticipated.

Deidara was pissed. "Where do you think you're going," he asked as Xantrex began to fade into the shadow. Hitting a switch lights hidden in the wall flashed on, consuming all shadows. "You should know by now that I don't fall for anything," he said. "This room is packed with everything to keep Akatsuki in order." Deidara stepped forward. "Now, let's see how long it'll take you to change your mind."

Xantrex felt his jutsu interrupted as Deidara flicked on a light that allowed not even a corner to be in shadow. Dammit, he thought in irritation, feeling (literally and metaphorically) his back against the wall. Think, dammit, think.... his mind scanned through his options. He'd never thought he'd actually have to seriously think about how to get past Deidara. If he'd known, he'd have planned for this ahead of time. He could try and make a shadow with a flash bomb, granted it would only last a few seconds, but Deidara'd be on him the second he pulled it out. Option one, obliterated. He could try a genjutsu, that might work, but how would he get Deidara caught in it? Option two: possible. He could try taking Deidara head-on, but that'd be the worst mistake of his life. Option three, death sentence. He could try to pause time and escape, but Deidara was familiar with that jutsu and would stop Xantrex before he could execute it. Option four, possible, but not probable. Option two it was.

Xantrex started a jutsu and said "I already told you Deidara, my mind's made up," before fading away into thin air. Seven or so scrolls appeared floating in the air around Deidara, and out of them every possible weapon flew at Deidara. Ninja Art: Shadow Games, he thought, reappearing on the other side of the room by the door. "I'm leaving." Leaving Deidara to the genjutsu, Xantrex swiftly made his way out of Deidara's room. He knew it wouldn't be long before Deidara realized that it was a genjutsu, so he didn't have any time to waste. If he could just get out of the hideout....

Deidara looked at Xantrex. "You think I care that your mind is made up. I'll change that quickly," he said. But before he could get to Xan, the little brat had pulled out several scrolls. Each containing hundreds of weapons. It didn't take long for Deidara to realize the Genjutsu and once he had broken through it he appeared infront of Xantrex. "You think a low leveled Genjutsu such as that could stop me?" he asked as he greeted him with a punch into the stomach.

Xantrex felt Deidara's fist before he realized that Deidara was in front of him. Xantrex flew smack into another wall and sat there a moment, regaining himself. As to answer Deidara's question, Xantrex did a jutsu and looked at him. "Of course not. But I had to get out of that infernal light, didn't I?" He asked as he faded quickly into the shadows of the hallway. He made sure this time, that in case Deidara'd tried to get him before he faded, he'd put a paper bomb on the floor in front of him. "Goodbye Deidara," Xan said as he disappeared.

Deidara punched the wall as Xantrex disappeared. Who the hell did he think he was. "If he ever show his face here again, I'll be sure to kill him." Deidara then looked at the bombs. Tossing a kunai at them he let them explode and walked back to his room. He'd call a meeting later.
