Nyx waited outside the gates of the Magma anxiously. After a few minutes he started pacing in irritation. Where the heck was his partner, she was supposed to meet him there.....well, actually he was kinda early, but he was starting to get impatient. The mission was to go tell his sister Ami, who was currently doing an exorcism in the Rain Valley, about the invasion and to keep away for a while. Although, him and Kira had agreed that the mission would really be passed off as delivering a message to a higher up in the Rain Valley. Man, what if I miss her, what if she already left? he thought nervously, his pacing quickening. After a moment Nyx leaned against the gate with a sigh. "Jeez," he said under his breath. "What's taking them so long...?"

(Not sure if this is the mission Kira was talking aout so tell me if I'm in the wrong place.)

Blair was excited for her mission. She would be going to Rain Valley which was as far as she'd probably ever get from the village. As she ran up to the gates she believed she saw her partner. "Hello," she said. She pulled out a slip of paper. "Are you Nyx?" She asked. She'd never been on a deliver mission and was eager to go. She started to bounce a little waiting for his answer. She wondered what it was like outside those gates. Maybe there were really powerful ninja and people who had bee all over the world. Her eyes widden. She wanted to go now.

(Nope, your good)

Nyx looked at the small girl who came up to him. This had to be some kind of joke! She didn't look any more than 12 years old, what did Kira think she was doing? With a sigh, he realized, this was no joke as the kid asked if he was Nyx. "Yeah. Blair, right? You got everything you need, right?" he asked, sounding a little eager to get a move on. This kid seemed like she was excited to get going too. "Cuz I wanna make it to the Rain Valley in two days tops, so there won't be many stops along the way, got it?" he said. He was never really good with people, it was something he'd been trying to work on recently. As it seems it wasn't going as well as he'd hoped it would've.

Blair nodded. "I'm all set,"she chirped. The eagerness faded as he started to talk to her like she was a little kid. He was no older than her. She then gave a shrug as he asked her if she got it. "Yeah, I got it." She couldn't help but feel like he didn't want her around. She wasn't going to slow him down. She tugged at her glove and waited for him to lead the way.

Nyx looked at her as she said she got it. "Good, let's go," he said, turning on his heel and starting off towards the direction he knew the rain valley was in. They'd have to cut through a forest if they wanted to get there in the two days he'd said. But there'd hopefully be no problems along the way. As long as they didn't run into any rogues, they'd be fine. "Hey Blair," he said, looking over his shoulder at her. "How old are you?" He guessed that she couldn't have been more than a genin. Why would Kira send him on a mission with a genin? Especially one so important!

Blair walked after Nyx. When he questioned her on her age she made a face at him. He couldn't see it anyway because she was tagging behind him instead of walking alongside of him. "I'm eleven, why?" She asked. What she really wanted to say was, What's it to you how old I am, we're on the same mission and nothings going to change that. She hated it when people did that. What did age matter anyway. She knew ninja younger than herself. Ninja like Tyson and Kai. Both were her friends, and both were younger. She bet they went on missions without questioning.

Nyx looked back in front of him as she asked why he was asking, and shrugged. "Curious," he said simply. "How many C-rank missions have you been on before?" he asked, keeping his gaze in front of him. He was trying too make some kind of conversation, but it seemed the girl was taking it the wrong way. This was always how it turned out when he tried to be something other than mean. People still thought he was mean. He looked at his watch. They'd left at about....9:00, so they could stop at about 10 pm and sleep for a few hours and start early in the morning. His hand dropped back down to his side and his gaze dropped to the ground. He was a bit concerned about how his mother and father were going to be with the evacuation. His father was in a wheelchair and his mother was going to be alone in taking care of him this time. Normally either Nyx or Ami would've been there to help, but Ami had to stay away from the village and Nyx had to help defend it. He hated being an adult at such a young age. He'd never even gotten the chance to be a kid.

Blair looked at him as he questioned her some more. "Well, this is kind of my first," she said shyly. She then fell silent and began to think about what kind of things thy'd encounter on the way. "Hey you're a Chuunin right, how many times have you run into enemy ninja on a C-Ranked mission," she asked. She hadn't had much training, so she wasn't exactly what you'd call excited about fighting. But it'd be fun to tell her friends about it.
