Lucifer looked at the three squads before him. Squads 55, 58, and 60 were assembled, three members each, in front of three trees about 50 feet tall. Their task was to fly to the top using the Shadow Wing jutsu. He smiled as the nine students tried - and ultimately failed - to fly to the top. He laughed and looked away to see someone walking towards the session. He smiled and waved. "Hello!"

Serenity was out today to watch some of the new genin train. She thought it was fascinating watching the little ones. As she walked up, one of the older ninja waved and smiled. She walked up with a smile. "Hello there. I hope I'm not interrupting, I just wanted to watch," she said with a kind smile.

"Oh no, don't worry you aren't interrupting. I was simply teaching the small ninja's new jutsu. It's one I take pride in saying I created." He opened his wings, flew to the top of a tree, and laughed as the kids laughed and yelled and made comments about his skills. He jumped down off the tree and landed on his feet. "So whats up?" He said to Serenity.

Serenity gave a small smile as he said that she wasn't interrupting. Serenity watched as he flew up to a tree and jumped down. She smiled as the little kids laughed and yelled. They were so lively. When he asked her what's up, she shrugged. "Not much. You know, I don't think I've ever met you before. I'm Serenity," she said with a smile.

Lucifer smiled back. "It's nice to meet you, Serenity. That's a beautiful name, by the way." He smiled big. "I am Lucifer. You may have known my dad? He was the Magumakage before he died. I myself was just appointed the new assisstant of the Tokikage." He looked at the kids, two of which had succesfully flown to the top of their tree. "Good job!" he called, "Stay and wait for the other students, then we'll try something else!"

(I don't think we give the kages official names anymore......)

Serenity smiled as he said that his father was the Magumakage before he died. "Yes, I knew him. Roxl Oni, right?" she said with a smile. "He was a good man, it's such a pity he died. I'm very sorry for your loss." She smiled wider when he said that he was the new assistant at the Crested. "That's great to hear! It's been such a long time since we've had an assistant!" she said. She wondered if he knew before that comment that she was of the Crested. "Since we haven't had an assistant for a while, I've been taking care of most of the things, but it's good to know that I finally have some help," she said with a small laugh. Perhaps he'd figure out just who she was by that comment. After all, she was very well known in the Crested. She was both the healer and the fortune teller of the village. Some people referred to her as the Shaman of the Crested, but she didn't really like that nickname too much.

Lucifer smiled. "Ahh yepp, you got it. Roxl Oni... What a great man." He sighed. "But I don't know if he was a good father. I mean, he abandoned me and T'Lula..." He Turned to her and squinted. "You look familiar...." He snapped his fingers. "I got it! Your the Crested Valley's Fortune Teller and Healer!" He smiled, obviously proud for knowing. "Hey, I have a question." He paused and didn't let her respond. "Would you like to learn how to fly?"

(That would be cool! I think it would be neat to have that as a rank, rather than just Crested Kage, we can have Tokikage or sumthing!!)

Her smile faded slightly as he said that Roxl had abandoned them. "I'm very sorry to hear that," she said. When he said that she looked familiar, she only looked at him for a moment until he remembered who she was, and smiled when he did. "That's right," she said. "I'm surprised I've never met you before now. I've met most of the other ninja in the village. When he said he had a question, she looked at him curiously. She only blinked when he asked if she wanted to learn to fly. She gave a small embarrassed smile. "Well, I'm not a ninja, I'm not too sure what exactly to do with those handsigns and everything." She, of course, knew how to control her chakra far better than most ninja, Felix included, because of her occupation, but she didn't know all those handsigns.

"Oh there's only a few handsigns you need to know." He did a series of complicated patterns. "Although it looks like alot, it's only 4 handsigns repeated five times." He shows her slowly. "This, this, this, and this." Then he smiled. "And do that really fast, five times, then control your chakra into your back, and let nature do the rest." He realized he ignored what she said first. "Oh and, I've never been surverley injured, so I've never had to see you i guess."

Of all things, doing something that was considered a ninja technique was something that unnerved her. She'd never actually done a jutsu before. She watched his hands as he did the signs the first time around. "I don't think..." she started, but when he told her it was only 4 handsigns in fast repetition, she watched as he did the handsigns, then tried them after. "Like...like this?" she asked.

Lucifer smiled. "Yes that's exactly right." He folded his wings close to his body. "Now after the handsigns, you focuse your chakra. This should be easy for a healer like yourself." He focuses his chakra to his back, and closed his eyes as the shadow began to form around the base of his wings. They then exploded outward, and, sitting at a 13 foot wingspan, formed a large pair of angel wings. They looked exactly like his physical wings, but they turned a bright white rather than jet black. "Now, don't expect your wings to look anything like wings. It took these small children a week just to figure out what shape to form there wings into." He laughed. "After you focus, pick your wing shape, and allow the chakra to flow from your body and form."

Serenity nodded and listened to him as he instructed her. Already she couldn't wait to brag to Felix about how she'd learned a jutsu. Then she stopped and thought, maybe telling him that wouldn't be such a good idea. Trying to remember the handsigns, she did them repeating the sequence five times, and focusing her chakra onto her back. It felt weird, but slowly she could see her aqua blue chakra forming from her back. She tried to do as Lucifer had instructed her and form them into wings. Her wings, surprisingly since it was her first time doing this, had formed into wings similar to Lucifer's, except for the fact that hers were much smaller and were white with a light blue tinge to them. She blinked and looked over her shoulder. "This...this is amazing," she said with a smile, her eyes lighting up.

Lucifer smiled and watched. "Wow that's really really good! Your first time and your already copying my wings." He laughed. "Although, if you really wanna actually fly, your wings will have to be bigger." He smiled. "And yes, it is quite amazing, isn't it?" He flapped his chakra wings and his real wings simeoutaniously. "You have two options now. I'll let you pick. Wanna learn to control them or make them big enough to fly?"

Serenity turned a little red out of embarrassment when he praised her, but shrugged when he told her that they'd have to be bigger if she wanted to fly. "Well, I suppose that I should learn to control them first," she said with a smile, looking back at Lucifer as he asked which she wanted to do first. She supposed that she only needed to use a bit more chakra in order to make them bigger, but she wasn't actually used to focusing the chakra onto her back rather than to her hands, so it might've ended up being a bit difficult.

"Ok then!" He smiled. "Oooh whydya turn red?" He laughed. "Ok then! Focus on a beating motion in your wings. It should mimic the beat of your heart." He showed her. "It is pretty hard for a first time, but I have faith that you should learn this really easily." He grinned. "Go ahead and try."

Serenity ignored him as he asked why she'd turned red. She wasn't one to take praise lightly, as it didn't come to her often. When he said to focus on a beating motion in her wings, and that it was supposed to mimic her heart, she nodded. "Got it." The first thing she did was focus on her heartbeat. Then she tried to follow it through to her back. This part was a bit harder than she'd expected, but after a few minutes, her wings started beating lightly. Once she felt it, it almost stopped because of her surprise, but she concentrated again and they started beating stronger. She smiled. "I think I got it....." she said almost incredulously.

Lucifer smiled brightly. "Very, very good. Now focus more chakra in your back, and let the wings grow. After you do that focus on your wings beating, and you should begin to rise off the ground." He beat his real wings. "See?" He lifted of the ground and flew up, then back down. "Do that motion when you got it." He jumped up and flew in circles above her, waiting to see what happens next.

Serenity nodded when he said for her to focus more chakra to her back and to let the wings grow more. When she did, they started to shape a little differently. The new wings seemed much more shapen like bat wings, but still had the angel-like quality to them. She kept beating them and when she began to rise up off the ground, she gave a small noise of surprise and the wings stopped beating and she landed back on her feet. She was actually a little scared to get off the ground now that she thought about it. She tried again, but this time when she rose, she didn't go back down. She rose higher off the ground, then stayed at that height. She looked down with a grin. "I...I got it!!" she said.

Lucifer smiled bright. "You, my friend, are a natural born angel!" He flew off the ground and joined her in the air. "Don't ever stop flapping, and if you get tired tell me and I'll carry you to the ground." He flew in circles. "Lead on with flying, and I'll follow you." He grinned at the thought of finally having a person who wasn't twelve to fly with.

Serenity looked at him as he said that she was a natural born angel. "I don't..." she started, but then gave a small smile and accepted it as something of a compliment. When he told her not to stop flapping, she nodded. Although she didn't quite like the idea of being carried to the ground. She only looked at him for a few seconds blankly as he told her to lead in flying. He wanted her to actually.... She gave a small smile, her mortal side showing a bit. "You got it," she said with a smile, and looked down once with a light swallow before turning and starting off at a steady pace. Her eyes brightened once she got the hang of it, and went a bit faster. "This.....this is amazing!" she said with a grin.

Lucifer followed Serenity close, in case her wings gave out. He smiled when she said it was amazing. "I know it is. I invented the jutsu when my wings got torn up. I couldn't stand not flying." He fell back a bit when she was doing fine. "Try some sharp turns or-" he screamed in pain and began spiraling to the ground. He formed chakra wings to stop from hitting the ground. "Ahhh!!!! Something hit my wing!" He watched his blood spill to the ground."

Serenity looked over her shoulder at him when he said he'd invented the jutsu. "Wow, that's really something," she said with a smile. Sure, she'd invented some medical techniques, but never a technique like this. She looked back in front of her when he said to try some sharp turns, but then stopped when she heard him scream out. She turned to look at him, her wings flapping steadily as he fell to the ground. "Lucifer!" she said, watching him. She realized at that moment that she had no idea how to land. "Uhh, um, what do I do," she said quietly, then just tried flapping her wings more slowly, and found that it did lower her to the ground. When she was close enough to the ground, she pulled her chakra back and her wings disappeared, allowing her to fall the rest of the way and land on her feet. She quickly ran over to him. "Stay still and let me look at it," she said, going closer to his wing.

Lucifer looked at her and smiled. "You, Serenity, are a quick learner!" He stood and opened the wing that was hit. He looked around to see what had hit him. I saw something flicker back towards the training grounds. Then it hit him, like a rock in water. "Oh god, the kids!" He started flapping his wings and yelled in pain. he summoned his chakra wings and started flying, but then crashed to the ground. He had already bled to much to fly. "Oh no, no, no, no, no..." He looked at Serenity. "Go save the kids! I can put a bandage on my wing myself!" He handed her a kunai. Not just any kunai, but the Magma one Ester had given Roxl long ago. He had been through the magma valley's museum and was gifted it when the attendent learned who he was. "Please save them!"

Serenity looked at him as he seemed to realize something. But she didn't get it. Not until he handed her a kunai, then it hit her. "I...I don't know how..." she started to say, but then realized that Lucifer wouldn't make it there in time, even if she healed his wing. But she didn't know how to fight, not at all. She swallowed and took the kunai, running towards the spot that the kids had been at. Realizing that she wouldn't make it that way, she stopped and did the handsigns for the jutsu, her wings reappearing. She took off into the air and flew towards the training grounds with the kunai. No, no, no! What am I doing, I don't know how to fight! she thought, feeling near terrified. What if I can't save them? she thought. Then she remembered something. She'd recently discovered her power. And it was of air. Please work... With only a thought, Serenity forced the air behind her wings to move faster as she got to the training grounds. Please don't let me be too late, she thought as she landed.

*Now switching to the view of a nearby hawk watching the grounds*

The hawk watched the terror unfold. Two ninja had showed up to the grounds, where the nine kids were sitting in the trees. One of the ninja had chased after two others who has mysteriously flown. The other sniffed the air, and saw the kids. He smiled and aimed a finger at the kids. Cackling eviley, he yelled, "BOOM!" and a purple beam shot from his fingertip. It hit a branch and knocked three kids to a lower one. The tree also lit on fire. All nine jumped into the air, and had a brief meeting before deciding to chase after Lucifer. they all flew off.

*Now switching to view of Noah, a young genin of Squad 55*

Noah flew in front of the nine, looking for Lucifer. They saw ahead of them Serenity, the town healer. He remembered the two flying off together. He stopped and shouted, "Hey! Wheres Lucifer?" And barely dodged a purple beam.
