They'd come home from seeing Hunter only days ago, and Serenity was putting the finishing packing in her bag. She'd bought a sword, like she'd been telling herself she would, but there was one thing about it she loved above all else. It was easy to hide. She wasn't sure why, but she wanted to hide it from Felix when they went, and only use it if she absolutely needed to. There was something special that caught her eye about this sword in particular, and for this trait it had cost her a bit more than just a pretty penny. Not like she didn't have the money of course. The sword, in it's sheath, was a little shorter than a short sword, but longer than a dagger. But when she drew it from the sheath, it would extend to the size of a normal sword. It was relatively lightweight and had great balance. When she asked the shop keeper who had made the sword, he told her that he didn't have the faintest idea. That he'd bought it off a stranger in a market place in the Rain Hidden in the Rain. A unique blade, something she just had to have. She was like a dragon in that sense. In fact, while she was mortal, her nickname in her group had been the Blue Dragon, both because of her eyes and because of her treasure hunting skills. Liora and Jake used to joke about how she'd have a horde of treasures one day. They hadn't exactly been wrong.

There was a compartment in the very back of her bag, the part that would press up against her back as she walked. That was where she put the sword. She made sure that the hilt didn't stick out at all, so that Felix wouldn't see it when he came. The best part was, it didn't even make a bulge in the back of the pack, so she wouldn't have to worry about it becoming uncomfortable. When she left however, she'd have to make it so that the hilt stuck out a bit so she could quickly draw it should the need arise. She'd only have to hope that Felix didn't see it.

It was still early afternoon when she sent off the text. Hey Fe, puttin the finishing touches on my bag. I should be done within the hour. Are you all set to leave, or do you need more time? She then set her phone down and went upstairs to get the maps from her room. Yeah, she'd been studying them.

A week ago he'd visited Serenity and ended up taking her to Hunter's place. Now he was to go on a treasure hunt with her, well cave dwelling or something similar. He sighed and then looked across the table to the guy who he'd been discussing an upcoming mission with. Throughout that week Felix had been assigned a new team. To his utter dismay he was not in charge. This guy was, and Felix wanted to get an understanding between the two of them before they had to work together. The other two, who were fairly new Jonin, Felix could care less about.

He blinked as he felt his phone move in his pocket. Who could be texting him? He looked at his Captain. "Excuse me." He turned slightly and got his phone out. Serenity. Be there in a minute. He texted back. "Well sir, sorry to suddenly leave, but I need to get over to an old friends house." He said with a curt nod. "I'll see you in a few days." And then he got up and left. Moving quickly Felix went home and changed. Everything was already packed. He grabbed his bag and then left out the door.

Heading to Serenity's door he knocked. "Ser?" Felix leaned against the side wall and looked out over the neighborhood. It was quiet but sunny. Great day to swim. He smirked. Nice time to be thinking about something like that.

(HAHA!!! ANOTHER SWIMMING SCENE!!!! *fangirls flock*)

Serenity had left her phone downstairs, so she hadn't heard it go off when Felix had texted her back. Once she got the maps, she went downstairs with them and put them in the side pouch of her bag. (could you imagine if they fell out and the two of them got lost?) She blinked as she heard a knock on the door, then went over to answer it. Her hair was already put up like it normally was when she went out on excursions like this. She didn't like it getting in the way.

She smiled to see Felix was the one who'd knocked. "All ready I take it? I have all my stuff packed, so we can leave anytime," she explained, moving aside so that he could come in, putting her cell phone in her pocket without looking at it. She was actually really glad to see Felix. More glad than she'd been in over a century actually, though she didn't know why, and she didn't show it.

He turned and looked at her as she answered the door. He couldn't say he was glad to see her, but it wasn't like he didn't want to see her either. He ignored this thought and gave a small grin. "Hello." He said. "I don't think i'd be here if I wasn't ready." He was only joking which was unsual, but he was in a good mood today. He placed his hands in his jacket pockets and followed her into the house. He found it unnecessary due to the knowledge that they were leaving soon, but he wouldn't argue. "Ready when you are," he said. He wanted to add Adventure Jane, but though better of it.

(Fe gets pissed off too easily. She practically memorized the maps anyways though...)

Serenity smiled to hear that he was joking. She loved catching him in a good mood. She suddenly found herself thinking that she shouldn't be thinking like that. Thinking like that would undoubtedly bring her back to her other side. She didn't want that. Didn't want to cling to Felix like some kind of damsel in distress like she used to. "Just gotta get one last thing, then we can set off," she said, heading towards the stairs. "I'll be right back down," she told him. Truthfully, when Felix had knocked earlier, she'd been about to get this item, but had forgotten to, as answering the door came first in her book. She pulled her cursed necklace out of the top dresser drawer in her room, then put it on, tucking it inside her shirt. She then headed back downstairs and slung her backpack over her shoulders. "Alright, let's go," she said with a smile, obviously excited about this. See, the thing with Serenity was, she never went on any kind of excursion without her cursed necklace, as odd as that may've sounded. She didn't quite understand why though.

Felix was in a world of his own. His natural self was in a subconscious state. All emotions he was cutting off. He did not want to fall into his longing to be with Serenity. Hundreds of years had passed by, well, maybe only a hundred, but his feelings lay beneath the surface. He sighed and nodded when she said she had to get something. He didn't bother asking what because he truly didn't want to know. When she was gone he pulled his lockets from his beneath his shirt. He had everyone he cared about. Meridian. He didn't have one of his mother, which disappointed him. Stephen and Walker in a single shot. Aiko and Lyra in a single shot. Then Sven. Felix looked at each one. These were the few people that meant something to him and they were all gone. The only one that was left was Serenity, and he had yet to get a picture of her. He doubted he ever would. The ones in the lockets were only of those who were deceased so he could forever remember their faces. Felix closed the lockets and placed them back in his shirt as he heard Serenity coming out. He nodded as she said let's go. "Lead the way."

(Omg, foreshadowing of the plot I had in mind in your post. Omfg!!)

Serenity walked out of her house, closing and locking the door behind Felix. Yes, she had never gotten out of that habit after what had happened with her crystal ball. She couldn't bear the thought of losing anything else like that. The only difference now was, if something happened to one of her things, she'd go and hunt down the person and get it back herself. She was confident that she could take on just about anyone now that she was back to her old self. Maybe she'd even be a match for Felix now. She silently chuckled at the thought. He didn't know how strong she really was. That punch the other day was just about half her strength, and to add onto that, Serenity was really good at gymnastics and similar things, so dodging moves and getting around wasn't a problem. She was actually hoping that something dangerous would come along so that she could fight with it.

As they exited the gates of the Crested, Serenity looked up while she walked. "Okay, so, first off we have to get to the Unknown. We're going to be heading towards Hunter's place again, but we're not going into that same cave that leads to his place. About 50 degrees northeast there's gonna be another cave, that's gonna lead to where we want to go," she explained off the top of her head. Yes, she had this planned out in steps. That was how she always did things. Step by step, so that getting lost wasn't even an option. No, she was never the one who used to make or read the maps, but she could do it when the time called for it. She wasn't an invalid when it came to the technical stuff. She could do it, but things like riddles interested her so much more. Maybe that had been why she'd liked being with Felix so much all those years ago. That, and he looked like Jake. She knew that was why she'd become attracted to him, but she'd also learned that he was nothing like Jake. She would've never left Jake for the world. But Felix...if he wanted to he could move to entirely different village and the chances of Serenity caring for more than a day were slim to none.

Felix looked at her as she locked the door. Nothing out of the usual since he crystal had gotten stolen some hundred or so years back. He followed and listened to her speak. So she'd thought about this. Planned it out. Good, he didn't want to be down there any longer than he needed to be. But there was a problem. How long had they planned on being down there. "Serenity, what exactly are we looking for down there?" He asked. "If we are looking for something." He shrugged and waited an answer.

Serenity stopped talking at his question. "Umm...." She didn't really have an answer. She gave a rather awkward chuckle. "III'm not so sure," she said, stretching out the word 'I'm' a little bit. "Hunter didn't really say there was a treasure down there..." she then turned around and started walking backwards so that she could look at Felix while she spoke. "But look, there's bound to be some people that had explored down there before right? That being the case, there's probably gonna be some interesting stuff down there, right?" she reasoned with a smile. What are we looking for exactly? she thought, though her thoughts didn't show through the confidence on her face.

Felix looked at her through narrow blue eyes. They hadn't lost their icy touch. "You don't know.... That's surprising." He said. "Watch your step, I'd hate for you to fall. I might find myself suddenly amused." He grinned as he said this. "Regardless, we are bound to find something as you said. This cave may not have been explored and with Hunter only going there twice there may be something hidden deep within it." He shrugged. "You'll probably discover something." He grinned.

Serenity had noticed that Felix's eyes hadn't changed one bit. Nor had he actually. She didn't turn around when he told her to watch her step, only chuckling when he said that if she fell he'd find himself suddenly amused. "Heh, well if I fall, at least I'll get a laugh out of you," she lightly teased. Well, it wasn't teasing in the normal sense. It was more like joking. Because teasing between them two never ended up with good results. She raised a brow slightly at his last few comments, then lightly grinned. "Of course I'll find something! Who the hell do you think I am?" she said, pointing to herself with her thumb before turning around and walking normally. She'd almost quoted her old nickname. Thank god she'd caught herself. That was an old catch phrase of hers back when she was mortal. She'd actually surprised herself by saying it once more. She hadn't said that phrase in over a millennium. "Anyways, after we hit the entrance to Hunter's cave, it shouldn't take us more than an hour to find the entrance to our place," she said, putting her hands lightly in her pockets as she walked.

Felix looked at her with a raised eyebrow. His amusement with her was slowly increasing. He smirked. "Who the hell do I think you are? Hmph. That's knew. I don't know, care to explain for me?" He asked. He completely left out her explanation, though he noted it in his mind. He waited for Serenity to answer his question. he was curious. Who did she expect him to think she was. Adventure Jane? The female version of Indian Jones? He could make a list.

Serenity nearly frowned as he asked her to elaborate. "Nopes, no I don't," she said as he said care to explain. She really didn't want to explain it to him. Sure, she wanted him to laugh, but not at something like that. The Blue Dragon of the North, that's what she used to be called. But people around had just shortened it to Blue Dragon, since there was only one. She and her group used to be rather famous. Not something she wanted Felix to know. Not that it was embarrassing or anything. Felix had his secrets about his past, and Serenity would keep some of her own. Though for some reason she always found herself giving in to his requests about explaining. She didn't plan on it this time. But plans changed. A lot apparently.

Felix found himself moving up so that he was walking next to her. She;d gotten his attention, he was not letting her off the hook. Not today at least. But when did he ever? He looked at her. "You know I'm not going to leave you alone until you answer my question." He said. "I'm sure it's something extremely embaressing, but you want even change a fourth of your regular color." He pointed out, though he'd turned his gave ahead of him when he came near the end of his statement.

Serenity watched him walk up next to her from the corner of her eye. She knew that he wouldn't leave her alone now. But if she said no enough, maybe he'd get sick of asking...no, not likely. Serenity sighed. "So stubborn," she mumbled. And also, it was true that she wouldn't blush like normal, so what was the harm in telling? Except that he might start laughing when he heard the nickname. "Back when I was a mortal, I had a nickname that everyone knew me by. And every time someone questioned me...well, putting it simply, that was my line. Every one knew me by my nickname...it was the Blue Dragon," she said simply. "Happy?"

Yes, that had been her old nickname. And that name had gained a hell of a lot of fame, and Serenity knew it. But she figured that all the legends and fairy tales had been before Felix's time. The Blue Dragon was known as the most famous treasure hunter around, traveling with a group of other hunters and taking on the most difficult caves, obstacles, and foes around. Of course, like all fairy tales, over time hers became a little warped, so that even her gender had been forgotten. If she'd known that her tale had been around for more than a millennium, she would never have told Felix this information.

Felix did not laugh. He did not smile. He stopped in his tracks. His blue eyes blank and so was his facial expression. He was no longer walking to Hunter's cave he was a young child sitting in front of his mother as she told him a story:

"The Blue Dragon is the greatest treasure Hunter of all times. If you ever meet them you should be honored." The eight year old child's eyes widened with excitement. "The Greatest? Hmph. No one will be greater than you." He said. He wasn't even talking about the treasurer hunting thing, he was talking about his mother overall. "Oh Felix, you are too kind." The boy stood. "Only because I want to show my gratitude." With that he set off to tell his friends of this great treasure hunter.

"That's, that's not possible?" It came out as a question because of his confusion and shock. She was the great treasure hunter his mother had always told him about? Felix had tracked each uncovered mystery by that Hunter. Never in his dreams had he imagined meeting the person. And even now, in person, it just didn't fit.

(LMFAO!!!!)

Serenity blinked as he stopped dead. What surprised her more was that he wasn't laughing or grinning like she thought he would. "Uhhh....Felix, you okay?" she said, turning to look at him. His face was completely blank and she almost started to worry before he'd spoken again. She was a bit confused now. "What do you mean it's not possible?" Why could it not be possible? She didn't understand, and wasn't putting the pieces together that he too may've heard of her in the legends. "Of course it is," she said, walking in front of him.

Felix didn't speak for a moment. "I mean...that was so long ago. I was eight years old." He stated. He shook his head. "And I always thought that....he, it....you was guy." Felix was far too shocked. "How could you be the greatest treasure hunter of all time?" He had no interest in treasure hunting but still, this had just crushed him. His demeanor weakened a bit and he sighed. "Doesn't matter, that was centuries ago." He looked at Serenity. Blue Dragon, what a joke.

(OH DAMN! That's actually really harsh!)

Serenity didn't understand what he was talking about. She frowned and actually looked a bit offended, if not hurt, by his one statement. 'How could you be the greatest treasure hunter of all time?' She kept quiet about it though. "Felix, what are you talking about?" she asked finally when he said that it didn't matter because it was centuries ago. Was he talking about her nickname? She doubted it. If it was just that, he wouldn't have been so shocked. He'd heard about her before. Obviously she'd crushed his vision for this oh-so-great, godlike figure that was supposed to be the Blue Dragon.

Felix walked past her. "Forget, it's unimportant." He headed towards the Unknown. If she couldn't figure it out by now then the hell with it. He wasn't going to waste his breath. He walked with his hands in his pockets and his head down. Mother, for once in my life, I am utterly disappointed with your tales. He closed his eyes. He needed something to distract him from this.

Serenity watched him walk past her a moment before she herself started walking. Her eyes narrowed slightly as he said it was unimportant. "Whatever. Sorry for crushing your image of the oh-so-great Blue Dragon," she said sarcastically, speeding her step up so that she was walking in front of him. The only reason she'd done that is so that Felix wouldn't see the pissed off expression on her face. Nothing Felix had said had even indicated that he had any respect for the Blue Dragon after he'd found out who it really was. Any respect he'd had simply evaporated, and that was what annoyed her the most. There was no reason why Felix's respect should've just disappeared. Many of those tales had been true, and had he been in awe about them before, nothing should've changed. That only told her that Felix's thoughts of her now said that he looked down upon her as someone who could never do anything great. She adjusted her backpack before shoving her hands into her pockets as she walked, keeping silent. Her chakra at that point had actually almost started lashing out, but she'd managed to keep it invisible from Felix.

Felix walked with annoyance. He was not going to race Serenity. That was below him. And at this point. She was below him as well. It wasn't that he had thought she wouldn't/couldn't accomplish anything great, he just thought it'd be someone worth his time. Serenity had done him wrong plenty of times, and he'd done the same. But this was out of her power. He sighed. He had wanted to meet someone, different. He shook his head and ffollowed in silence. He would not speak on the matter. There was no point in it.

It wasn't long before the two of them reached the Unknown, and the whole time Serenity had walked in silence. They hadn't even gotten to the damn cave yet, and already they weren't speaking to each other. Serenity sighed lightly. How did this continuously happen? Not that she cared if the two of them weren't speaking. It had been like this before. Why should she care...? She didn't, it just pissed her off to know that Felix thought so little of her. No, even though they'd reached the Unknown, Serenity hadn't calmed down. She was about ready to call this whole thing off, then just go by herself the next day. She had wanted to enjoy this, but it didn't seem like that was about to happen. A light wind blew past them. A wind that had nothing to do with Serenity being pissed off. She could control herself better than that now. Because if it had been her, the wind would've been ten times stronger.

Felix walked in silence. He wouldn not let his emotions over come him. Serenity's anger was nothing to him. It did not matter. The second they entered the unknown he was prepared. His blue eyes scanned their surrounding every now and then. With each step he become more and more aware of everything that was happening. The wind picked up and he looked at Ser. No, it wasn't her, just the wind. Though he could see she was not yet settled. No problem. A twig snapped. He loooked up eyes narrowed. A roar followed. Felix pulled a kunai out. "We've got company," he said. He'd fought something out of the unknown before, he didn't want to repeat.

Serenity had heard the twig snap, and she knew that they wouldn't get to the cave without confrontation. When she heard the roar, she wasted no time in pulling her knife from inside her shoe. She didn't want to use her sword just yet. Not unless she absolutely had to. Though, she had remembered (thankfully) to adjust the hilt so that she could both pull it out of the bag without issue, and so that Felix didn't see it. Just what she'd been aiming for. Serenity looked around for the source of the roar, hoping that it wasn't going to be like last time. The only difference now was that Serenity could fight for herself. Felix didn't have to waste his breath protecting her. Tch...doing what anyone else would do...yeah right...
