Halo walked quietly through the park. She was in her normal form, because no one would recognize her anyways. She hadn't been around much before the war anyways. The sky was a light gray color, saying that it would probably start to sprinkle soon. She was walking along the path, on the part of it that wasn't too far from the lake. She stopped and a small shiver went up her spine when she felt a familiar, and unpleasant, aura coming towards the area. She wasn't in her akatsuki uniform, that would've been sheer suicide. She was in a black skirt and a light blue jacket.

Bat walked slowly through the Open. Being in the Storm was kind of sicking. It was always a storm brewing and he hated it. He wanted to be stationed in the Magma. Walking he felt a prescence. Coming over the hill he saw the person it belonged to. "Halo," he said in greeting. "You look different, how has your stay in the Crested been so far?"

Halo looked as she saw Bat walk up. Normally she would've smiled, but she was indifferent to his presence, unlike the first time she'd met him. She was actually glad to see a familiar face that she knew was on her side for real, besides Jaymaru of course. For some reason, Halo kept forgetting that Bat wasn't really on her side. "Bat," she said in response. "You look the same," she retaliated with a small smile coming over her face. "Everything's been going fine. Me and Adre have found a place to stay," she said, using Jaymaru's fake name. "Nothing eventful has happened so far. How has your watch been going?"

Bat looked her over and listened to her. He was hoping that Adre was Jaymaru or else he'd have to set her straight. There was no room for friends in this organizations. He merely shrugged as she asked him about his side. "I'm on a literate vaction," he said. "The storm has nothing, the only problem is Ziade of the Infamous Five."

Halo only nodded when he said he was on a literal vacation. "Aren't you lucky," she said as she started walking on the path again. She didn't care if he walked with her or not. She wasn't trying to be rude and walk away from him or anything, but unlike her old self, she wouldn't stand there all day and wait for him. "And you're not allowed to harm anyone there, hm? That's a pity since I know how you love to take down anything in your way," she said with a shrug. Her attitude nowadays was much worse than when she was an angel. She didn't care about being nice right now.

Bat started off behind her as she she began to walk. "Yes, you know me well, but it seems your attitude has changed." He pointed out. "Have you realized that acting as an angel that has fallen brings you nothing but misery?" He asked. Bat had a smirk upon his face. He was glad she was adjusting to this new life.

Halo didn't say anything as he mentioned that her attitude had changed. She only looked at him without a smile as he stated that acting like a fallen angel brought only misery. "No. But I find that with being around you, it's hard to act any other way than this," she said bluntly. She didn't mind being this way with him, because it seemed to her that it amused him. Halo put her hands into her jacket pockets. "Anyways, whatcha doin away from the Death when it's like this outside? It looks like it's gonna rain out," she said, not looking at him.

Bat looked at her. "Oh don't feel oblidged to behave this way around me," he said. "I'm not your babysitter. What you do is up to you." He then shrugged. "The Storm is driving me crazy with all the bad whether. I need to be part of someplace a bit warmer." He said dryly. "So this whether means nothing to me because it's all the same. And what of you,w hy are you out here?"

Halo gave something of a cold laugh when he told her not to feel obliged to act this way around him. "Well if I can't act any other way around you. Because I don't particularly feel like getting chastised by you," she said, putting particular emphasis on the word you. She then looked up as he said that the storms were driving him crazy. She didn't say anything. She assumed that up above was angry with her for her actions. "Yeah, the weather's been horrible everywhere from what I hear," she said, her voice a little lighter than it was before. She almost sounded like her angel self for a moment there.

Bat didn't even bother her about how she was now speaking a bit lighter. "Alright," he said. "Just tell me Halo, just what have you been doing in the Crested, and another question, how have you been doing in the Akatsuki. I haven';t spoke to you on the subject. Anyone of interest yet?"

Halo only looked down when he asked what she'd been doing in the Crested. "I've been learning my way around for the most part. They layout of the village," she said. She figured that would be the correct response. For the most part it was what she'd been doing. He didn't need to know that she'd taken up an older form. When he asked about how she was doing in the akatsuki she stayed silent for a moment. "I've been doing fine," she said. "I've only met one of the other akatsuki so far. His name was Pheonix," she said, knowing that Bat already knew the guy.

Bat waved his hand dismissivly. "Seems you're getting along prretty well." He said. He didn't really care. Bat looked up and then looked down and then looked at his hand. He wondered if Halo had the same mark from the time they met or had it disappeared since he'd changed her.

Halo only shrugged as he said that she seemed to be getting along well. Like you care, she thought. She looked at him as he looked down at his hand, but refused to look at her own. That mark had never faded, even a little since that day. Even though the blood in her veins said otherwise, she was still good at heart. She looked in front of her as she walked. "Bat. I'm in the akatsuki with you. Does this mean you consider me an ally, or do you still doubt me?" she asked without looking at him. It'd been bugging her. She wasn't sure if she considered him to be an ally, but she was curious as to what he thought. She wondered if he thought of anyone as an ally.

"You're an angel Halo, I can never see you as an ally. Fallen or not. It's against all I stand for." He said. He then put his hands behind his head. "Afterall, I never see any mortal being as an ally, they're just...pawns." He said with a shrug. "It wasn't my choice to be here, so I don't plan on making allies. I just use everyone, simple as that."

Halo couldn't help but smile as he said that he could never see her as an ally. "That's funny. I was thinking the same thing since you're a demon." She still refused to look at Bat though. "But you don't know how long you're going to be up here Bat. Eventually you're gonna find someone who you will end up considering your ally, no matter how hard you try not to." She was actually kind of....perhaps it wasn't the right word, but she was actually kind of enjoying talking to Bat. She was learning bits and pieces about him.

Bat shrugged. "If that's what you think. You just know me," he said. "I can be up here for the rest of my life and I will continue to have no ally in this world," he said. "Now, you on the other hand, you can be whatever you want in this miserable world." He said. "Because I don't think HE, will let you go back up.

Halo shrugged as he said that she just knew him. "That's true." She finally looked at him. "Maybe you should have an ally up here," she said. "Perhaps it wouldn't be as bad as you think." Halo looked down almost sadly as he said that Halo couldn't go back. "You're right. Being what I am, I can't go back up there," she said, looking up at the clouds covering the skies. The only reason she went out today was so that they couldn't see her through the clouds.

Bat gave a huff. "LListen to you. What happened to the great creator that accepts all?" He asked. "What happened to being able to be purified," Bat asked. His voice was bitter. "Is this the same creator that you so joyfully worshiped?" He asked. Bat stopped and looked at Halo. He wanted an answer.

Halo stopped before Bat even did when he started asking about the "great creator". She looked at him coldly as he finished. "Shutup. You don't have a clue what you're talking about," she said. "As great as he is, I don't think he'd be able to purify someone like you. And to have the same venom running through my veins as you do," her gaze didn't falter for a moment. "You shouldn't speak of things you don't know about. For one to be purified isn't such a simple subject as you may think it is," she said then turned her gaze from him and continued walking again. "He doesn't accept everyone. Those who take their lives for granted...those who take his love for granted end up in hell until they are reincarnated. So then, in their next life they know better. I've never been to hell before. I think I was sent down here to be taught some kind of lesson," she said with a shrug.

Bat gave a chuckle. "What's wrong, getting upset?" He asked. "You're sent down here and then you claim to be receiving a lesson and end up with the blood of a demon running through your veins. On top of that it's the blood of the devil himself. This is not a lesson it's punishment," he said. "But if you say it's a lesson, keep believing it."

Halo's hand clenched into a fist and she stopped as he said that she had the blood of the devil himself in her veins. And that this was no lesson, that it was punishment. She turned and glared at him. "I've done nothing horrible enough to deserve this type of punishment!!" she said angrily, her angel side showing through. Perhaps she was lying a little bit. She had harmed a human afterall. It was the only rule, aside from killing the human, that harbored punishment this bad.

Bat held her gaze as she turned on him. "Then tell me why in the hell are you here then?" he said. His voice a low growl. "Explain to my you're stuck here instead of being up there with the rest of the angels. If this isn't punishment, then what is it Halo!" Bat knew him and Halo were similiar in a way. He didn't know why she was here, but he knew there was a liable reason. For himself, there was no reason, his father had sent him up here without any explanation.

Halo's glare faltered as he asked why she was here then. Of course to him, it would sound like she was being punished for what she did. But in all truth....when she was first sent down here, she thought it was a lesson and that when she'd learned it, she'd be taken back up. Of course, now she thought differently. Bat made sense in what he said even though she didn't want to admit it. Halo was angry enough to strike at Bat, but knew that she shouldn't. "I was sent here...because..." she couldn't finish the sentence, knowing that Bat would have some kind of snide remark ready. "I was sent here for harming a human, okay? Maybe you're right, this is punishment, after all, how could I not consider being turned into a disgusting demon punishment!" she said angrily. It was clear as day that Halo was about to strike him. If he kept pushing her and yelling, she wouldn't be able to contain herself.

Bat grunted. "Oh Halo, you're so miserable it's ridculous." He said and smirked. Bat then looked at her closely. "If it has taken you so long to realize this punishment then you'll never make it for as long as you're here." He said. "Though I'll welcome to you to Hell when you arrive at the gates," he said.

Halo glared at him as he said that she was so miserable it was ridiculous. She knew the whole time that this was punishment, but had refused to accept it. So that comment didn't bother her as much as the next one did. Immediately her hand clenched and she punched him in the face. "Shutup, you no-good disgusting lousy demon!!! I'd like to see how you deal with something happening to you like what's happened to me!! I hope someone does find a way to pull the evil from your veins just so you can be as disgusted with yourself as I am with myself!" She knew she sounded like she was throwing a temper tantrum, but she was fed up with him. "You wouldn't do half as well as I've been doing, I know that for sure!! You're so infuriating!!" she yelled at him angrily. She didn't know what he'd do in response to her hitting him, but whatever it would be, it was well worth it.
