Kindness doesn't come easy to this rebel, even if he seems like a nice person on first impressions. Really, he just enjoys joking around.
{What Are You Waiting For! Welcome Me Home}Your Village: None
Your Rank: Shattered Blades
{They Made Me Who I Am Today}Mother: Deichtine Setanta
Father: Lugh Setanta
Siblings: None
Family History: The Setanta family is stationed in the Stealth Valley, and lived a comfortable lifestyle up until the time Chu Lain was born. After that, finances became increasingly hard to manage, as Deichtine and Lugh had not been expecting a child so early in their relationship.
Character History: Up until the time he was 16, Chu Lain attended a Ninja Academy in the Stealth, and was sent on several group missions as a Chuunin until it was decided that he was not fit for the life of a ninja. He could not listen to orders from the squad leader and would jump into battle without a moment's hesitation. In his last official mission, it had even cost the life of one of his squad mates. After being removed from the ranks of ninja, Chu Lain deserted the Stealth and moved elsewhere, beginning his life as a thief. It wasn't difficult, because, thanks to the time of peace, travelers no longer feared attack from the Akatsuki while on the road, and while they still feared rogues, would not hire a bodyguard for such minuscule chances.
By the time he was twenty, Chu Lain had become a recognized thief and con man, as well as a better fighter than he ever believed he could have been, if he'd stayed in the Stealth. Tricks and schemes are right up his alley, and when he found the Shattered Blades, he vowed to take it over as leader and lead them all to greatness. But not just greatness. He vowed that he would lead them all to rebellion against the villages that shunned them. Promising them good lives, but then pushing them into the shadows and gutters, out of the sight of those who were capable of being well-off in the villages. It wasn't revenge, really. But the Shattered Blades was just greatness waiting to happen.
{A New Beginning}Chu Lain didn't quite care if Xaverie was around or if she wasn't. She could go drop dead for all he cared. She was unstable, and that wasn't what they needed in a leader. Whether she was here or not, he was going to take charge whenever he saw the opportunity. Which was why, when he saw some idiot trying to talk trash, about how the "Shattered Blades didn't need a leader then, and never would," the brown haired male walked right behind him and put his arms around his and another guy's shoulders. "Hah, having no leader sounds great, don't it?" With a frown forming, Chu Lain stepped back and knocked their heads together with enough force to send the two dizzily stumbling around. "That's how you'd end up with no leader. Chasing your tails like a bunch of mangy mutts. And then what? And then you'd be proving the villages right about us thieves, us rogues. By yourself, you're nothing. With us, you'd be great. But you don't want greatness, do you?"
