Kurome found himself sitting in a chair next to the village elders in front of the entire village. It seems he was chosen to be the next kage. Kurome yawned, he didn't understand all of the formality. He expected for them to pass around a newsletter saying he was the new kage, not make a whole big celebration for it. He sat there and waited for one of the elder's to finish his speech.

The elder sure loved to talk, he went on for hours recounting Kurome's tale. How Kurome fought on the battlefield and his status as the leader of the Yudoku clan. Kurome frankly was sick of hearing of it and just wanted to get to the good part. Still the man seemed to have no end in sight, he was especially lengthy on how Kurome saved his daughter and new son-in-law back when Stealth was at war with snow.

The man would go on for a few more minutes before being dragged off by another elder. Kurome would then be introduced to the podium as the new kage where he was to address the village.

"Hello... This is awkward, but I am honored to be named the new Suterusukage... While I may be inexperienced in giving such an address unlike Tanaka-dono, please bear with me." he said nonchalantly. "I will make the Stealth Village into one of the greatest villages around! For in my opinion we are the true definition of a shinobi." Kurome said. He could continue saying a few more words before taking a seat.

Once the inauguration was over, Kurome went to speak with the villagers. These were people he knew all his life, he should at least speak with a few of them before beginning his kage duties.

Kade wasn't born before the final war against the Akatsuki, but that didn't mean he hadn't heard the stories. He didn't think it was that serious, but it was nice not having to fight all the time. The young boy looked up at the new Kage. He smiled lightly and then grinned. "Yeah right, we don't need to be great. I don't see why we should compete with the other villages when everything is pretty solid with treaties and stuff, unless they're not telling us something." He rubbed his nose and looked up. At least it wasn't snowing today.

As Kurome walked around the village he made it a point to speak to everyone of the villagers that he recognized. Walking through the village he yawned, he didn't really want to go back to the office to do paperwork yet. He never heard the young boy's criticism of Kurome's mission statement and it didn't matter to Kurome. He was here to hear the concerns of the villagers and assure them everything would be ok.

So he eventually made his way to the genin Kade. Kurome had made it a point to learn every villager's name and did loved to talk to young shinobi. "Hey Kade, how's it going?"

The young boy was a bit nervous when the Kage approached him. Not sure what he should do, he bowed awkwardly. "Hello Kage, sir." He smiled with mild delight though. The Kage was talking to him! "I'm well, I just got assigned to a Squad. I'm not an official ninja of the Stealth." He pointed to the headband around his neck. In all honesty, Kade wasn't that serious about being a shinobi. He just wanted to play around and whenever training came around he never cared to pay any attention to his sensei. What was the point of being a ninja if you couldn't have fun?

Kurome smiled at the young boy's response. It was obvious enough that the child had little to no interest in being a shinobi. He seemed more like someone who became a ninja for the headband. Kurome felt it was unnecessary to try and straighten up the boy, more than likely the child had heard it all before, in a way Kade reminded Kurome of himself as a child. Instead he gave a hardy laugh and responded,

"Relax, I'm no different from the guy you pranked yesterday." He snickered. "You just got assigned to a squad you say? Well congratulations! Not just anyone can become a genin." He said before slipping his hand into his pocket and began to absently walk away. He didn't have all day to talk with Kade but he did want to talk to the genin a bit longer.

"But you are different, you're now the Kage. I can't just prank a Kage, I'll get in a bunch of trouble." He sighed lightly and then rubbed his nose with his sleeve when the guy said that not just anyone could be a genin. Kade would beg to differ. Kade looked almost crestfallen when the Kage started to walk away. He gave a small frown and lightly kicked a rock. Had he said something wrong? His blue eyes looked to the ground and then he thought about what he could do. He could probably prank the guy, but people wouldn't appreciate that. So instead he called, "It's cool you're Kage now!" It really was. Kade didn't think that he'd ever want to be Kage, but he knew they were strong.
