Kaylee walked down the streets of the Snow. She looked around and suddenly started running down the streets, just for the fun of it. She saw someone in front of her as she turned a corner and tried to stop, but couldn't so she ran into them and fell backwards. She blinked and sat there for a couple seconds, a bit stunned. She looked up at the person.

Chronic was on the floor face to the sky, he got up and looked at the girl who knocked him down. "Excuse me." he said. "You should watch where your going madam." Chronic then bent down to pick up his bag of rice. Lifting it, a hole had emerged in the bag and split all over the girls face.

(now that's just mean)

At first, Kaylee had something of an emotionless expression on her face, but then she started laughing as she looked at the rice. "It looks like the snow!" she said, still laughing. She got up and the rice fell out of her hair. She shook her head a bit to get the rest out, then looked up at Chronic. "Oh, I'm sorry about running into you mister. I'm Kaylee, who're you?"

Chronic gave the strange girl a blank stare. "No apologizes necessary, my name is Chronic, I'm a loner traveling her to buy some food for a long trip." He said, as he bent down to pick up his other things. "What is your business here?"

(lmao, got that right!)

Kaylee frowned and looked at him. "I live here!" She tilted her head a little and picked up one of Chronic's things and handed it to him. "Why are you a..lon..a lone...a loner?" (she was trying to pronounce it, just so u no)

Chronic took the item and stuffed it in his bad. "I'm a loner because I choose to be one, who needs people. Now, if you wish, I'm heading off to the market, replacing my rice..."

She smiled. "You're right, people are silly." Kaylee looked at the rice that was spilled on the ground, then back up at Chronic, her face expressionless a moment before saying "Can I come?" (lmao, she kinda just contradicted herself)

Chronic stopped at stared back. "If you come, I'm not buying you anything. You need you own money." He continued walking forward towards the market. "And you mgiht want to hurry, sundown is almost upon us."

Kaylee ran up next to him and looked up at him. "I don't want to buy anything, I just like the tons of people there." She giggled when Chronic said about the sunset. "You're a funny boy." She looked down the street, then back up at Chronic. "Do you wanna race?"

Chronic looked at Kaylee. "Fine, but don't cry if you loose." He stopped and got into a ready stance. "We start from here, on your mark... get set.... GO!"

Kaylee ran after Chronic, barely keeping up behind him. When they got to the market, she stopped and sat down on the ground and looked up at Chronic. "You're really fast," she said.

Chronic bent down and picked up some snow. He shoved it down his mouth and melted it in his mouth, then swallowed. "It's a habit to be fast, when you have no money, stealing is your last resort." He looked backed up and tried to find the marketer selling rice. As he spotted it he check his pouch, "Enough only for a small bag," he whispered to himself, "Damn."

Kaylee looked up at Chronic and frowned. "What's wrong?" Kaylee looked around and grinned as she saw a bird hopping around on the ground a little ways away from them. She quickly got up and ran after it, then laughed when it flew away. Fly fly away little birdie, it's too cold for you to stay here in the Snow! She looked back at Chronic and walked back over to him. She frowned and asked again "What's wrong?"

"Um, nothing," He said "I think I might need to steal today, not enough money for rice." He sighed and walked over to the rice stand. Looking at all the bags of rice he decided which one to take secretly without any disturbance. All through his head he though of everything, what to do, and what happened if he did something.

Kaylee looked up at Chronic. A boy's voice rang in her head. That's not right to do Kaykay, you should stop him. Kaylee blinked and walked over to Chronic and pulled on his shirt. "Hey, you shouldn't do that." She looked at little worried then said. "Maybe my big brother can buy you that." Stealing isn't good, the voice said. "Stealing isn't good," Kaylee repeated.

Chronic stared back a Kaylee. He knew that face, he's seen it more then a billion times. He sighed and looked at Kaylee. "You have to do what you have to do to survive in this world." Continuing, he circled around the shop and went into the back, quietly, he took the of rice and shifted a few bags to make it look as if nothing was taken. Coming out, he had the rice bag in his back-pack. He arrived back at Kaylee, "So, where are you headed to now?"

Kaylee looked a little worried up at Chronic. He's right Kay, maybe you should leave him alone in this one. Kaylee shrugged and smiled at Chronic. "I dunno. I just came out here to chase the birdies when I ran into you." (now we know part of the reason for her incesent mood changes. XD) The birds don't like the cold. "Yeah, the birdies don't like the cold," Kaylee repeated.

Chronic started at Kaylee, "Um I never asked you about the birds." he said. "Are you alright? Something the matter?" Scratching his head he examined the girl, A lot more strange then I though...

(lol, you should never assume that Kaylee's not strange.)

Kaylee looked at Chronic and shook her head. "No silly! TK wanted me to tell you that the birdies don't like the cold!"

Chronic was confused this time, "Who's this TK?" He asked. "Is it a spirit? Or a pet of some short? Either way, I know birdies don't like the cold."

Kaylee shrugged. "I don't know. He never told me. But he comes out to play with me sometimes. He even has eagle wings sometimes," she said with a little bounce. "He's a little see-through when he comes out, and only I can touch him. I don't know what a spirit is, but he's definitely not a pet. My pets name is Karu, but Karu doesn't like TK."

Chronic looked down at this smiling girl Who are you really? "So do you see this TK? Or is he inside your mind?" he asked. "It seems strange, but you know he's good right? I mean, I don't want to see you becoming this TK and realizing he's a demon, you'd be killing innocent people."

Kaylee frowned a little. I'd never kill anyone! TK said in her head. "He wouldn't kill anyone," Kaylee said a little defensively. "He's nice." Kaylee thought about Chronic's two other questions, then said "He talks to me in my head, but he comes out sometimes. I could see if he wants to come out now, but he's a little shy about being around other people. He only doesn't mind coming out around Ryuki."

Chronic was still a bit freaked about it all. Okay... so this is a safe being "Okay, so he's a safe person or spirit, and all he does is talk to you? Does he not help you control your energy? and who's this Ryuki? hm, so many questions I have."

Kaylee looked at Chronic, her head tilted a little. "You sure ask alot of questions. TK's protected me before from this one ninja, so he helps me. And...Ryuki's my big brother," she said with a smile. I think he's ok. I'll come out Kaylee. Kaylee smiled as TK faded into sight slowly until he was completely solid. He had no wings at this point though. (he looks about 8 and he looks like the pic in my siggy)
