Sukai walked away from Tenkuu's office holding a vanilla folder in his hands as he read the papers. It was an S-Ranked mission that he'd asked for because he needed something to clear his mind and pushing himself was the only way he could do that. Sighing he left the building and headed for the gates. He'd asked Tenkuu to let him do this alone, but he knew her all too well that she'd call for some ninja to join him secretly. Sukai sighed. He was glad that he cared about him, that was what siblings was for. Once out of the gates he made his way to the Valley of Darkness which was several days away. He knew this would possibly be his final mission as he traveled into the shadows to face an unspeakable evil.

Time moved slowly as he leap from tree to tree. He could sense that someone was following him, but this wasn't an allie. They were too quick and the sound of cutting wind from a Shuriken, no several shurikens told him different. Sukai quickly stopped and turned in time to strengthen gravity. The kunai hit the ground, but kept moving forward. His oppenent was very powerful which meant that Sukai would have to use his Shattered Wind Vortex in order to stop him, but he didn't want to make a scene. "Wind Style: Wind Blades!" Blades of wind spiraled through the air but a Dragonflame was there to counter it.

Sukai swallowed. "Maybe an S-rank wasn't all that smart," he whispered as he moved behind a tree to avoid the attack. "Calm down Sukai, you've got this." He then looked around a corner. "Checkmate," his oppenent said as a kunai came to Sukai's throught. Sukai shivered. Had the mission ended even before it had began?

(No I did not get Jerimiah to write this for me, he just told me some things that could help mkae my post longer because I wnated to top his post, sadly it's still too short, but I shall not give up!)

Tenkuu'd called Shen up to her office to tell him that she'd sent a ninja on an S-ranked mission alone. She'd wanted someone to watch after him, but she wouldn't tell Shen who it was, just to watch after them. So Shen silently waited outside the gates of the stealth for the ninja he was supposed to tail. He immediately recognized him. He saw him around the valley every now and then, and came to hear his name as Sukai Altai. Shen followed him, unseen towards their destination. After not too long, his heard a sound seperate from that of either his or Sukai's. An enemy no doubt. The enemy appeared to Sukai, but Shen kept himself hidden. He would only intervene if he was needed. And it soon seemed that he was infact, needed.

As Shen saw the kunai to Sukai's throat, he had to act on it, so he started a jutsu. "Scape grasp," Shen said as a root of a tree came out of the ground and grabbed the hand that held the kunai. From the tree above, Shen jumped down and kicked the man away from Sukai, landing in front of him. He looked at Sukai and gave a light smile. "Shen Kurabara, ANBU."

Sukai swallowed as he leaned against a tree when Shen came to his rescue. "Thanks," he said. He gave a sigh. This must have been his backup. Sukai then dunked as a the guy appeared infront of them. He was fast like a Stealth Ninja, but his movements were more fluent like he was a river. "Wind Style: Wind Blades." Sukai said as the blades appeared again slicing down the trees. Sukai looked at Shen. "Let's go," he said as he moved up a tree pulling out several kunai. "This guy must be really strong to have come by himself," he said as he stopped on a higher branch.

Shen nodded and looked back at the other ninja. "Yeah, probably," he said, jumping onto a tree. "Hey Sukai, you mind wolves?" He asked. Two people already knew of what he was, how much could one more person hurt? Besides, this guy was fast. Erego, Shen was just as fast in his human form. If he couldn't take him down with jutsu like Sukai'd tried, Shen'd just have to be faster.

Sukai looked at Shen as he asked him if he minded wolves. "No," he said wondering what kind of question was that but didn't have time to ask because the next moment he was falling from the tree branch as the other ninja sent exploding kunai into it. He was heading for Shen.

Shen almost fell off the tree he was on as he saw the explosion. The next thing he heard were quick footsteps coming towards him. And since Sukai didn't mind wolves....Shen jumped off the tree, turning into his wolf form in midair. Letting out a growl, Shen ran at the ninja quickly, intending to run right past him, forcing him to turn around. When the guy did turn, Shen immediately went to sink his teeth into his arm.

Shen's wolf form:

Sukai closed his eyes as he fell. He was falling fast and it wasn't the greatest feeling. He could see a wolf in the air running at speeds that were far past any wolf he'd ever seen. So that was it, Shen was a wolf. Sukai then blinked. He reduced gravity and then made his way back up. He could see there oppenent turning around to catch Shen and Sukai was suprised at what happened next.

Shen felt the warm blood of the ninja slide down his throat. He'd taught himself that he was supposed to hate that taste, but he was a wolf...how could he? Shen felt a sharp pain in his side as he was holding onto the ninja's arm. The ninja'd stabbed a kunai into Shen'd side, deep too. Shen's grip of the man's arm was released, and the ninja tried to get distance between them, but as soon as the man turned around to launch another attack, Shen was on him, pinning him to the ground. With a growl, Shen took hold of the man's neck in his teeth, but didn't bite down. He held the man there, his teeth ready to sink into his neck at one false move. Shen's eyes shifted over to Sukai. He didn't know for sure what the mission was, but maybe Sukai could get some info outta this guy.

Sukai walked up to where Shen and the ninja was at. He guessed that he'd have to talk since Shen was in his wolf stage. "What's you name, rank, and village. Answer carefully cause my friend here might not like a lie." The guy looked at Shen. He seemed calm but his heart pounded with fear. "Izuno Taske," the guy answered. "Special Ops for the Valley of Darkness." Sukai nodded. "Alright Izuno, what's your objective?" The guy triued to turn his head but thefangs were dangerously close. "Take out the opposing ninja before they reached the village, no questions asked. I'm not to return until the mission is complete." Sukai looked at Shen then Izuno. "Alright, sounds reasonable to me. What are you all planning?" Izuno sighed. "Classified," he said and then he went still, very still. Sukai swallowed nervously and went to check his pulse. "He's dead...."

Shen listened carefully to the answers the man gave, he could feel the ninja's heart pounding under him. As he listened though, Shen started to feel the man's heartbeat slow. He knew he should've lightened up a little, but he couldn't. Something just wouldn't let him. Shen heard Sukai come over, and saw his hands on the ninja's neck to check the pulse. It was several seconds after Sukai'd announced that the ninja was dead that Shen'd released his clamp on his throat. Shen looked up at Sukai with gleaming yellow eyes, then sat down and transformed into a human, so that he was sitting cross-legged on the ground. Pulling the kunai out of his side slowly, Shen flinched and asked "I don't take it there was anything useful in what he said? I mean, besides the fact that the Valley of Darkness was expecting us." Shen tossed the kunai on the ground and put pressure on his side with one of his hands to stifle the bleeding.

Sukai looked at Shen and then shrugged. "Guess not," he said. "But if they're expecting us then that means there will be others like him. This guy was strong, they might send others who are stronger." He then looked at Shen. "You okay," he asked. He wasn't a medical ninja but he had bandages. "Thanks for saving me back there."

Shen nodded. "But at least this time we'll be ready for them, right?" Shen gave a small smirk and looked up at Sukai. "Please, I'm an ANBU of the Stealth, you think one little kunai's gonna stop me?" Shen shook his head slightly. "Don't worry about it."

Sukai grinned back. "Alright," he said as he looked at the dead ninja then back at Shen. He wasn't sure if he wanted to move this guy from view or what. "Well let's go," he said as he looked in the direction of the Valley of Darkness. He then jumped to a different branch moving quickly and keeping his eyes open for any danger.

Shen got up, releasing the pressure from his side slightly. "Right," he said following Sukai. He looked at Sukai and gave a small grin. "Hey, if all we have to do is get info outta them to kill'em, this might now be so hard," he said with a small laugh. Flinching a little, Shen glanced at Sukai. It'd be much easier on Shen if he could just turn into a wolf. "Sukai, I'm goin wolf. It'll be easier for me to smell if someone's comin that way." Not to mention the pain in his side would decrease considerably. Shen changed into a wolf and jumped off the tree, running on the ground, dodging trees as he went, the wound on his side not slowing him down in the least.

Sukai looked back at Shen. "Alright," he said as he continued to move. He then moved quickly keeping pace with Shen. Suddenly he stopped. Something was coming, and it was huge. Sukai grabbed at a branch to keep his balance as the ground shook beneathe him. "Shen careful!" He called as thousands of kuani came up from the ground. Sukai eyes slightly widden and he shifted gravity down so that the kunai would deflect as if it was hitting an invisble sheild. "Underneathe us," Sukai called to Shen as his eyes turned from black to blue.

Shen's ears twitched slightly and he slowed down as he felt the ground shake underneath him. Shen jumped back as he felt an odd shift in the ground below and kunai's started flying up. Luckily none hit him, thanks to what he imagined to be Sukai's doing. Shen sniffed the air and looked around. He couldn't tell where it was coming from, but then Sukai said that it was...underneath them? Shen's eyes scanned the ground, ready to move if something came up.

(you can npc a ninja or something you know)

Sukai sighed slightly grateful that Shen hadn't gotten hit. He then scanned the ground. He couldn't see the ninjas movements, but he could feel them. What were they moving underneathe? Sukai clanched his fist and then jumped to another tree as the one he was standing on exploded. "Huh?" Sukai looked around. There was moving above him. They were about to be surrounded.

Shen looked around and tried not to jump as he felt, saw, and smelled the tree explode all at the same time. He let out a low growl. He didn't like how this was looking, not at all. His ears twitched as he heard shifting in the leaves far above him. Then he felt more movement below him. They were surrounding the two in every way except next to them where they could actually reach. Shen jumped back as a large pillar of earth shot out of the ground in front of him and he heard several weapons gong in Sukai's direction. On top of the pillar that came out of the ground, sat a crouched ninja looking at him. The guys eyes were a deep brown, like the earth. And the ninja that's thrown the weapons at Sukai from above, came down looking to punch Sukai if he'd dodged the weapons. Shen let out a loud bark at the ninja that sat in front of him. The ninja only laughed and said "Look what we have here, a pup and it's owner!"

(Oh no he didn't! Lol)

Sukai swallowed as he saw them being attacked again. This time two ninja had showed up. Sukai saw Shen being attacked by a ninja that was possibly controlling the rockas underneathe. But the guy above Sukia, he wasn't sure what his element was. Sukai moved away from the blades and then swallowed as he saw the ninja come to punch him. The impact was both expected and unexpected. Sukai couldn't beleive the force as he flew through the air and hit the solid ground. "Ow....." Sukai sat up and rubbed his head. "These guys are strong."

(lmfao)

Shen growled, his eyes glancing to see what happened to Sukai as he heard a loud thump behind him. So there were two ninja now, and as far as Shen could tell, it was as Sukai said, they were both strong. When Shen went to look back at the ninja that'd been on the rock, he was shocked to find the ninja face to face with him. Shen let out a yelp as another rock pillar came out of the ground at a slant this time, slamming Shen into a tree and pinning him there.

The ninja that punched Sukai landed on the branch that Sukai's just been on. He shot the earth ninja a dirty look that said 'Stop playing around', looked back at Sukai and started a jutsu. Shadows on the ground started quickly creeping their way towards Sukai's shadow.

Sukai looked at Shen as he was pinned. Oh God, they were up against two powerful ninja. It'd take four to beat these guys if they didn't pull themeselves together and that look that one ninja sent the earth ninja meant they wereonly warming up. Sukai stood up. He's have to use the Shattered Wind Jutsu, but he was too tired and it was his trump card at the moment. Sukai looked at Shen. He had no choice. Sukai's eyes turned a pale blue. "My turn," he said. "Shattered Wind Vortex." Winds started to surround Sukai until there was tornado that was spinning at very high speeds. Faster than an ordinary tornado. Then he went up into the air and came down onto the rock that was pinning Shen then he shot upwards until he was inches from the Shadow Ninja(I shall call him). Then the vortex was gone and Sukai was in the open. He attempted to land a high speed punch in the guys gut.

Shen's breathing was already coming in quick takes as he watched Sukai get engulfed in a wind tornado. He wondered if that was Sukai's doing or the tother ninja's. The answer came as soon as the rock holding Shen to the tree broke. Shen fell to the ground, almost collapsing, but managing to catch his balance. Shen turned back into a human and put one hand on a tree to steady himself. He could feel it, at least one of his ribs was broken and it hurt like hell. The Earth ninja, who was back on his perch on his earth pillar, looked at Shen with an amused expression. "So the mutt's not really a mutt afterall! This just gets better and better doesn't it!" Shen glared at the guy. He was actually having fun watching this. Swallowing, Shen let go of the tree and did a jutsu. "Scape grasp," as he said this, the earth ninja's perch turned into what looked like a hand and grabbed hold of the ninja. The earth hand that was holding the ninja threw him through a tree.

The Shadow ninja gasped as he had the breath knocked right out of him and he went flying into a tree. Getting up slowly, the ninja glared at Sukai. "Play time's over kid," he said, holding his stomach slightly. Doing a jutsu, the ninja disappeared into a shadow and reappeared out of a shadow behind Sukai and attempted to roundhouse kick him.

Sukai was quite satisfied for the moment with the fact that they'd done some type of damage. He looked at Shen to see if he was alright, which he was, atleast Sukai thought that. He then saw the Shadow Ninja appear behind him. Sukai dunked, but he knew it wouldn't do much. Sukai looked at the ninja and removed the guy's gravity so that he was floating. He then looked at Shen. "Where's the other one?" He asked.

Shen swallowed as the dust fromthe collapsed tree cleared and walked over to the tree to see where the ninja was. Not a smart move, seeing as how the moment Shen got over there, the ninja jumped out of the smoke in an attempt to punch him. Luckily, Shen was faster. He grabbed the ninja's arm and twisted it behind his back, slamming the ninja face first into the ground. "Now stay down," Shen said in irritation. (Ever watched Hellboy II?)

Sukai swallowed thankfully as the guy was capture. Sukai looked at the Shadow ninja and then jumped out the tree bringing the guy with him and then increased gravity on him so that he was pinned. "Well, what now?" Sukai asked Shen.
