Kenjiro sat on a rock in the opened area of the training zone,waiting for Zandra.He began thinking about how to start training her and decided this time he'd just test how she fights.

Zandra was told by the academy that she wass supposed to meet her new sensei in the training grounds for the first day of training. She hadn't gotten any teammates and was more or less very disappointed about it, but she'd find a way to make the best of it. Walking into the training grounds she smiled when she came up to a man. "Excuse me, are you Kenjiro Hatario?"

He looked up at the one asking about him."Yes,I am.Are you Zandra?"he asked,looking at her and leaping off the rock.He'd figured out his schedule on how to train her.

Zandra smiled at him and nodded. "Mmhm, that's me! So sensei, what are we doing for the first day of training?" she asked, clearly eager.

"Sparring,"he told her."I want to see all you can do for now.You can use any jutsu you have on you,but no weapons at all,he told her.He was going to test her chakra control and taijutsu for this first part of training.

Zandra nodded. "Okay!" She only knew a few jutsu, and admittedly they weren't that good. Of course to make up for that, she had great taijutsu skills. Of course, she'd been better with weapons, but she wasn't allowed to use them. She had no idea what to do to start, but maybe starting with a jutsu would be a bad idea. So instead, she'd start with some taijutsu. She felt so odd attacking a full grown man, especially since she was so little, but it was only training afterall. Quickly (for her age), Zandra ran at Kenjiro and attempted to land a punch.

Kenjiro was surprised by the speed.In fact,he saw it nearly matched his own.Nearly.He avoided the punch with a side step and leapt back.Right as he touched the ground,he dashed forward,sending a fist toward her a lightning speeds.

Zandra wasn't too surprised that her sensei'd dodged her punch, but what came next...well. Zandra tried to lean back as to dodge the punch, but ended up falling backwards onto the ground. Blinking a few times, she got back up and dusted herself off. She may've been fast, but she was still not too good with balancing herself. She never had to worry about balance in the water. Getting right back on the ball, Zandra did a jutsu, making a clone appear right next to her. A novice technique, but useful all the same, both Zandra and the clone quickly ran behind a tree. Hoping this might work, Zandra went out firrst, aiming another punch, and hoping that Kenjiro might think that the clone was her, had the clone go out second after the real Zandra caught his attention (sorry for being confusing ^^) and aim a punch also. Once the clone'd disappeared for real, Zandra'd aim a kick at his legs, aiming to trip him.

He avoided most of the blows but was surprised by the trip.He started falling back but flipped,leaping back a few yards."Good use of the clone jutsu,"he told her.He dashed at her again and did a handsign,transforming into a stone jinzo statue that flew at her in his place.He appeared in the air,hidden by the moonlight in the sky.

Zandra blinked as she saw her sensei filp backwards after the trip, but then managed to barely dodge said jinzo that flew towards her in her sensei's place. Since it was rock it slowed down some after the replacement. She looked around for her sensei for a few moments before realizing that she wouldn't find him that way. But she couldn't take out a kunai. She might've been able to use it to find him, but.... "Sensei...?" She said as she looked around.

Kenjiro dived at her,building chakra up in his fist.He didn't want to hurt her so he decided to give her a....heads up(play on words!)."Head's up!"he shouted as he smashed the ground in front of her with the chakra fist.The only difference between it was that his fist was filled with his moon chakra instead of wasting his normal chakra and tiring to quickly.

Zandra looked up for the source as she heard her sensei's voice above her and gave something of a small scream as she jumped back to avoid the hit. She managed to jump back into a tree, so she wouldn't fall back but she stared at her sensei for a moment. The glow that'd just surrounded his hand reminded her of the moon at night when it was full. "Sensei...what kind of chakra was that...?"

He smiled at her,glad she noticed it."Moon chakra,a specialty of the Hatario clan,"he told her,smiling and filling his hand with more to show her."One thing you will need to know,never doubt what a ninja has up his sleeve."He made a small orb of it."I'll have to teach you how to control your own chakra,but that a lesson for another day,"he said,making it disappear."Now,back to the main lesson.Oh,it's at this point you try to hide,cause I'm going to be shooting jutsu at you,one right after the other,"he told her.

So it was moon chakra he was using... Zandra smiled as she saw him make an orb of it in his hand. It looked like a little moon! Zandra blinked as he told her to hide because he'd be firing off jutsu at her. A moment later, Zandra immediately ran behind a tree, waiting for his first jutsu. Then she'd run behind a different tree, attempting to stay out of site. (Is it nighttime?)

Kenjiro smirked,jumping back while making handsigns."Remember this!A ninja must master several different types of jutsu for any situation!"he shouted to her."Example,Fire Style:Fireball Jutsu!"he shouted.He blew a stream of fire out and it began building up into a giant fireball that shot at the trees,right in her direction.

(Oh come on, you just made that easy for me!)

Zandra hid behind a tree, and upon hearing what her sensei said, peeked out from behind it only to see a large fireball coming towards her. Her eyes widening slightly, she was glad the she had at least one water jutsu up her sleeve. It was one that she, surprisingly enough, leanred back at home to fend off the more agressive fishes. Doing a quick jutsu, water started seeping up from the ground and surrounded Zandra as a shield of water. By the time the fireball had hit the shield, it'd gone out and the shield had evaporated. But it had served its purpose.

He smirked,already forming his second jutsu."Earth Style:Head Hunter Jutsu!"he shouted.He disappeared.Suddenly,he grabbed Zandra's ankle and pulled her under ground,burying her up to her head.He leapt out of the ground and looked at her."See what I mean,"he told her,leaning down and pulling her out of the ground.

Only a moment after her shield had evaporated, she felt something on her ankle and the next moment, Zandra found herself eye level with the ground. Yet only another moment later her sensei'd pulled her out. Blinking a few times, she looked up at him. "You're really fast," she said bluntly.

He nodded."A ninja's speed can be their most valuable weapon,"he told her."I think that's why you were sent to be my student.Your speed nearly matched mine when I was your age,"he said."Now then,back to training.I'll tell you more later but now you need to hide,"he told her.

Zandra smiled at her sensei. He was definitely very kind. But like he said, right now she needed to stay on her toes. "Right!" She said, running behind another tree, and instead of hiding behind it, quickly climbed up it, hopefully unnoticed.

"Here's a quick tip!Stay calm and try to keep your chakra suppressed and hidden!The more stressed and active you are,the easier you are to find!"he shouted to her before forming more handsigns.He pulled out a couple of shuriken."Ninja Art:Shadow Shuriken Clone Jutsu!"he shouted throwing the two shuriken which quickly multiplied into 22.

Zandra listened to her sensei's words, keeping her back to the tree, standing steadily on the branch she was on. On several trees around her, she saw shuriken hit, and even heard some hit the tree that she was on. All the same, she tried to remain as calm as she possibly could. If she could keep her chakra levels low, then perhaps he wouldn't be able to find her. Since she found out what happened when she'd stopped moving last time, she jumped to a different tree branch then to another, and stayed with her back to that tree to make sure that nothing was coming at her.

Hm,she's hidden well,and she's on the move.Smart move,my student,he thought with a small confident smile.To keep her own toes even more,he threw a kunai wrapped in an explosive tag into the air,watching it blow with a fantastic light.Looking around quickly,he saw she had even hidden herself well enough to hide her shadow in other shadows.Probably unconsciously done but done well,he thought.Performing several handsigns,he closed his eyes and crouched down."Stealth Ninja Art:Pursuit Jutsu,"he said.Opening his eyes,he could sense her chakra faintly but it was their."Found ya!"he shouted,dashing forward toward the tree.

Zandra's breathing was steady and silent, but she couldn't help but give a small gasp as she heard her sensei yell that he found her and heard his footsteps dashing towards her. Looking around quickly, Zandra started handsigns and whispered "Ninja Art: Clone Jutsu." The clone appeared in front of Zandra on the branch and jumped to another tree branch which passed in front of her sensei's sight, and continued jumping through the trees, while the real Zandra jumped in the opposite direction, making sure to stay in the shadows and out of sight.

"Pursuit jutsus see through almost all techniques!Clone jutsus included!"he shouted,dashing after the real Zandra.He streamlined himself and caught up with her,turning on one foot and sending a kick at her.
