A few weeks after the incident and Serenity still hadn't seen Felix. And to add to that, the number of people who'd been visiting her hadn't decreased. But thankfully, they hadn't increased either. It hadn't been too long after Serenity's last patient had left, so she was cleaning up when she heard a knock on the door. She washed her hands off and walked over to the door, her hair up in a ponytail, as always was after she'd gotten done taking care of a patient. She sighed as she got to the door, hoping it wasn't another incoming ninja. But then again, who else would it be? She never got visitors just for visits, and people rarely came to her to get their fortunes told, so she just assumed it was another ninja.

It had been a few weeks since Felix had been in the Crested. He'd occassionally hear some news on what happened. He'd heard how Stephen and Walker had been questioned. But for Serenity, he hadn't heard anything about her. He'd talked to no one. Being a wanted man was what he was trying to avoid. Finally he found it in himself to check on Serenity. He knocked on her door and then looked around. He wasn't wearing his usual attire, he didn't want to attract attention to himself. Dressed in a a pair of red pants and a grey shirt he waited at the door.

Serenity opened the door and looked at the person a few seconds before realizing who it was. "Felix?" she said almost quietly, blinking. She grabbed his hand and pulled him in. She figured that he'd been in hiding, so she hadn't gone looking for him. She closed the door behind him and looked at him. "Is everything okay?" she asked, sounding a little concerned. She wondered how his injuries were doing, and if he'd even bothered to get proper treatment, but knowing him, he probably hadn't. She wouldn't ask about it though. She didn't want to nag him. It didn't matter if that was how he knew it was really her. He got annoyed with her when she did it, so she was trying not to do it so often.

Felix nodded and then let her drag him inside. He gave a sigh as she asked him if everyone was okay. "Yeah, I'm just waiting is all," he said. He was kind of in trouble though. Even so he didn't want to worry her. He put his hands in his pockets. "I didn't mean to abandon you like that, I just...I couldn't handle it." He said. "Anyway, how've you been?"

Serenity only shook her head as he said that he hadn't meant to abandon her like that. "Don't worry about it Felix, I understand," she told him with a smile. Of course, she couldn't have possibly understood what it was like to be in his position, but she knew that it was probably very hard to deal with something like that. That being said, she didn't hold it against him. When he asked how she'd been, she shrugged. "Good, just busy," she told him, then took his hand and led him over to the couch. "Sit down, will you?" she told him with a smile. She wondered if he was staying long. She hoped so, and if not long, at least for a few minutes.

At was glad to hear she was doing good. He looked at her as she suggested he take a seat. He was not sitting on the couch. Felix sat down on the floor. This was a bit awkward to him. He'd come back after months on a mission and years after being mad at her, but...but he was a fugitive of the sort and she was kind of sheltering him. He sighed and shook his head. He was tempted to ask about the twins. He was worried about them. He looked up at Serenity. He didn't know what to say. "Is Jasper okay?" Not what he wanted to come out but it came.

Serenity looked at him with a small sigh as he sat on the floor, then sat on the couch herself, next to where he'd sat. She blinked and looked at him as he asked how Jasper was. She was a bit surprised. "Yeah, he's fine. He was over here the other day actually. He'd told me to tell you when I saw you that....well, that if there was anything he could do to help to let him know," she said. When Jasper had come over and talked with her about Felix's situation, she was a bit shocked. He was the one who brought her to see just how Felix's situation really was.

Felix sighed. He wasn't sure there was anything he could do. He was in a sticky situation. With his leaving after the incident, Toki's death, plenty injured and even more dead. He'd messed up. On top of that he had all the dirt he'd did in the past lingering over his head. Toki had no identity. People would ask questions. Servents would be exposed. Records would be pulled. He'd be sentenced to death or in case life in prison. Felix couldn't spend eternity in prison. He shook lightly. This was too much for even him. "Thanks," he said.

Serenity looked at him. She knew she'd asked before if everything was okay, and tried avoiding asking the question that was really on her mind, but she was a bit worried when she saw him shake lightly. "Are you okay?" she asked, unable to help herself. She was worried about him. She wanted him to let her help him. But she knew he probably wouldn't. Maybe if something big happened where Felix was caught, she'd try to convince the higher ups that something else had happened. After all, she was a trusted member of the government, they'd believe her if she told them that Felix had been acting in defense. In defense of several people actually, him, herself, and Jasper. Jasper had told her what he knew about the situation, about the nameless group that had asked him to join it's ranks. And her and Jasper had figured out that the only reason they'd be after Felix was because...well, he used to be a part of it himself. And the man with the black jacket had said at one point that Felix had left them. Serenity didn't care much about the bad parts of Felix's past. He was with her now, and that was all she really cared about.

Felix looked up at her with a grin. He was holding his best. "Yeah, I'm fine," he said. He then sighed and looked at the tv. He was not fine. He was tired, hungry, worried, and more or so disoriented. Felix didn't look up. "Serenity, I haven't been able to get to the twins..." He stopped and considered what he would say next. "I, can't get to them. I don't want to involve them, but..." He shook his head. He'd never asked for help in his life. "Can you...Have they stopped by?"

(Omfg, now I'm pissed. I logged on about 5 minutes before posting this, and when I went to post it, it logged me off then I had to re-type the whole thing, grrrr!!!!!)

Serenity looked at him with her head tilted a little as he looked at her with a grin and told her that he was fine. She didn't believe him. He always lied about things like that. (OMG I JUST HAD AN IDEA!! I'LL PM IT TO YOU) She only looked at him as he started to say something about the twins, then nodded when he asked if they'd stopped by. "Yeah. A couple times actually," she told him. "They're fine," she said with a smile. They'd told her about what had happened with them, that they'd been questioned by ninja. Serenity had as well. They talked about what had happened, and Serenity told them most of the story, but left out a few parts on purpose. They talked for quite a while. Even in rough situations like this, Serenity loved being around them. She wondered if Felix had figured out the second reason she loved being around the boys so much, aside from the fact that they were kind and lively.

Felix nodded at her answer. It was a good answer, she hadn't said anything bad about them, which meant they were okay, or so he hoped. He gave a shaky breath. "Have you watched the news lately?" He asked. He hadn't. He didn't want to, but he wanted to know how much damage he'd done. This would be a good time to go stay with Aiko, he thought almost bitterly. He was pissed off with himself to the extreme.

Serenity looked at him, then off to the side as he took a shaky breath. She wished he'd just let her help him. "Yes, I have," she said with a nod, not looking back at him. She didn't really want to tell him what she'd seen on the news though. Although it probably wasn't as bad as Felix thought it was, it was still pretty bad.

Felix leaned his back against the couch and slipped his jacket off. He didn't face Serenity as he asked his next question. "Tell me. What's been said. Please don't lie." He needed to know so he could plan his next move. He felt like he was playing a game of chess and was currently losing. He had to make a come back before everything fell apart. He didn't want to have to kill anymore, but if he had to, he would.

(I just realized that Fe and Ser are about 5 years ahead of the rest of Ninja Legend)

Serenity looked at him as he told her to tell him what'd been said and then told her not to lie. She stayed silent for a few moments, then sighed. "Well...they said that Toki's body was found, but no one knows who she is. The officials are looking into it and....well, they told the news crews that you've gone missing, and for other ninja to keep an eye out for you," she told him, her gaze off to the side.

Felix closed his eyes. Nathaniel's going to be busy. If people are looking into Toki's death and trying to place an idenity to her then someone's going to die. He's got people to do the work for him to. Mars, if he's alive, and maybe even Rin. Felix opened his eyes. "You said that others should keep an eye out for me, does that mean they're looking for me?" She hadn't been really clear on that one. He wondered if she'd done it on purpose.

Serenity finally looked at him as he asked if that meant that they were looking for him. "They weren't clear about it, but I think that they are. They just said that you were missing. They didn't specify and say that you were wanted or anything," she clarified. "Felix, do you want me to get you anything?" she asked. She also wanted to know if there was anything she could do to help, but Felix probably wouldn't let her. She knew that by protecting him that she was putting herself in a bit of danger, but she didn't care. She'd never told him this, but she'd do anything for him.

Felix sighed as she made it clear that they too had been unclear. He stood up and looked at her as she asked if there was anything she could get him. "No thank you, I'll be leaving now," he said with a small nod. He started for the door. He didn't know where he'd go, but he was fighting a war inside. And on the outside he wasn't showing it. His demeanor was the same as always. Blank, hard to read.

Serenity blinked and looked at Felix as he stood up and said he'd be leaving. "Y-you don't really have to go just yet, do you?" she asked, her eyes almost pleading. He'd just gotten there, she didn't want him to leave just yet. But if he really had to go... "Is there anything I can do to help Felix?" she asked almost quietly.

Felix looked at her. "I'm not sure if there really is anything you can do to help at the moment," he said almost somberly. "I don't want to get you involved in this. Me being here is enough, thank you for your kindness though." He gave her a small smirk and turned away. "I think I'm going to go away for a while, I can't tell you were though. It'll only make you an easier target." He shook his head. "And I have to find Nathaniel as well."

Serenity looked down as he said that he wasn't sure if there was really anything she could do. She gave him a small smile as he thanked her. "Please stop thanking me for things like that," she told him. She didn't like him thanking her for something that she would've done regardless of what situation he was in. She blinked when he said that he was going away for a while. And that he was going to look for Nathaniel. She stood up at that one. "Why?" Nathaniel. He was the one that brought all those people together and attacked Felix. She didn't like the idea of Felix going after him again. Serenity had figured most of it out already. And she didn't like any of it.

Felix didn't want to go through any explaining. He shrugged and leaned against the side of the door. She wasn't going to like what she was about to here, but she'd asked for it. "With Toki dead, Rin and Mars who knows were, and possibly others there, someone is going to die. I don't know who, I don't know when. But the officials sticking their nose into this is not good. Nathaniel will do anything to keep from being expose. It's as simple as that."

Serenity looked at him as he explained, still standing. "Felix if you go after him, the others might be with him," she said. "And what if Nathaniel has more people with him?" she asked. "What if you really don't come back this time?" She hadn't meant to get so worked up over it, it'd just happened. Everytime he went out on a mission, ever since he'd come home in that condition that one time, she was terrified that he wouldn't come back. She'd never let Felix know this though. Not until now anyway.

Felix sighed. He didn't want to yell at her but she was really pushing it this time. He felt pressure enough already. "It's not about me this time Serenity," he said with his head bowed. "People are going to die. Regardless of whether it is my fault or not does not matter. I know what's going to happen and now it's my responsibility to stop it." He looked at her. "I can't worry about death right now. I have lives to save."

Serenity's shoulders dropped when he said that it was his responsibility to stop deaths from occurring. Why did it have to be his responsibility? What made it his obligation? Serenity's gaze fell when he told her that he couldn't worry about death. She was so selfish...Felix couldn't die, but yet she'd rather him not get hurt than save lives. What was wrong with her? "Be careful," she told him quietly. "And...please...please come back."
