Because of this, and the fact that he has so much free time now, he's often seen wandering about the open, just waiting for the scent of a hybrid. When he's not out and about, you'll probably find him visiting Kymir and offering his advice, or visiting Kai off in the Snow.

Family History: Kazuya was adopted into a family at a young age after being found alone roaming the forest at 4 years old. He ran away only ten years later, unable to have made a connection with his 'family'. Not much is known of his true family, other than what he'd told Jaymaru so many years prior to the day.
Character History: At four years old, Kazuya ran away from the lab in which he was created. Originally bred in the hopes of being used as a weapon, Kazuya is a half wolf, half vampire hybrid with senses beyond that of most others of the same race. Kazuya's father was locked away as an animal, and his mother was killed immediately after his birth, though to this day he remains unaware of this. After being taken in by a family and raised for ten years, the hybrid boy ran away after destroying the house in an unprovoked fit of rage.
For five years after, he roamed about, not knowing for sure what he was, or what his purpose was, if he even had one. He stuck to the shadows, staying away from people with the hopes that he wouldn't harm them. Eventually this led to him becoming antisocial and your typical angry teenage boy. He started picking fights just for the fun of it and one day picked a fight with a woman named Jaymaru. A fight he couldn't finish. She ended up talking to him, insisting that he tell her what was wrong. Eventually she ended up convincing him that...well, life wasn't all that bad. That he just had to find a purpose. And that he did, becoming known as the leader of the hybrids, trying to help them find their own purposes and trying to protect them from those who would do them harm. Thanks to this, he ended up meeting Kai, a little girl who was a hybrid. The two became quick friends, and Kazuya looked after her when her parents were unable. And then came along a boy who he would eventually find out was Kai's younger sister. Kymir, as the boy was called, had no home, and was rebellious as a child. Kazuya offered to take him in, and watched over him for years, teaching him as well as he could. Eventually he became the Kage of the Death, devoting his life to protecting the village from harm. After the last war and the Akatsuki's fall, he stepped down as Kage, and allowed Kymir to take his place, confident that the boy would do great things.
{A New Beginning}Kazuya walked around the forest in the form of a large black wolf with shining yellow eyes. It was obvious from his size alone that he was no ordinary wolf. He was larger and more muscular than other wolves, and his fur was short and shiny, as if it had been well taken care of outside of the powers of a wolf. Still, he wasn't out looking for a fight. He rather enjoyed trotting around in his wolf form, and looking for hybrids while he was at his. His nose was far stronger in this form than in any of his other forms. It was easier to detect danger this way, too. He stopped when he picked up the scent of water nearby, and sniffed the air before heading in that general direction. When he found himself at the base of a cliff with a small pond and a waterfall leading into it, he walked up and took a drink from the water. It was clean enough. His ear turned and he lifted his head when he heard something rustling, only to see a deer come out of the bushes and walk towards the water a little ways away from him. Sitting down, he tilted his head and watched the deer as it calmly drank from the pond as well, as if unaware of his presence. Or maybe it just understood that he was no threat to it right now.
