Kazuya walked through the open silently, his arms behind his head. It'd been a while since he'd been there, having traveled everywhere and stuff. He was thinking about going to visit Kai. He hadn't seen her for quite a while. A couple months at least. He sighed. He honestly hated going to the snow cuzza the weather there, but whatever. He stopped walking as a bee buzzed around him. He put the palm of his hand out slightly and the bee landed on it a few seconds before buzzing off. Kazuya shrugged and kept walking, his arms behind his head still. He sniffed the air a little and a slightly familiar scent was what he smelled. It was faint though, telling him that the person was either there a while ago, or was still some distance away from him.

Kai slowly walked through the open her head down and her eyes wondering at the green grass. Everything seemed a little different with everything that had been happening. She was kind of bored too. Everyone was at the Chuunin Exams taking the test to see whether they were going to be a Chuunin or not. The only ones who didn't go was Tyson and Annie and she couldn't find any of them. She shook her head and continued to walk thinking about what had been discussed a few days ago with her Grandfather and her Father. She sighed and stopped when she noticed someone was coming in her direction. Her eyes widden and she smiled. "Kazuya!" She said as she ran down towards him.

A smile cracked across Kazuya's face as he saw Kai running down towards him. He knelt down and hugged her. "Hey kiddo, long time no see." He looked at her with a smile and said. "Jeez, I've only been gone a couple months and it's like you've grown a foot taller!" he joked. He missed seeing her while he was gone. In all honesty, it did look like she'd grown a bit though.

Kai smiled happily as she hugged Kazuya. She gave a small giggle as he said that she'd grwon atleast a foot. "I guess," she said with another giggled. She looked around. She hadn't seen Kazuya in a very long time and wondered where he had been. She even wondered if he'd heard about all the drama had gone on throughout the past couple of months. "How've you been Kazuya?" She asked.

Kazuya shrugged and picked Kai up. It was a habit that he'd developed whenever he saw her. "I've been good. Not much luck finding other hybrids though. Oh well, we'll find some eventually." He looked at Kai with a smile. "How've you been Kai? You need to tell me everything that happened while I was away, cuz I'm completely clueless," he said with a small laugh.

Kai smiled as she was picked up. "I guess we just have to wait," she said shaking her head. "Maybe someone will come along looking for help." Kai looked at the clouds. She didn't know whether to tell the truth or not about what was going on. She sighed and looked at Kazuya. "I'm fine, I guess," she started. "But alot of things have been going on in the villages. Deidara left the Akatsuki," she said quietly. "The Chuunin Exmas started and war has broken out between the Magma and Stealth," she said. "Something is going all wrong in the Snow too," she said. "The none ninja hate the ninja. They blame us for something that we don't know about and the Akatsuki compleltly destroyed Lucky's funeral." She shook her head. "The entire world is falling apart and only getting worse."

Kazuya frowns as Kai tells him about what was going on. He didn't quite know who Lucky was, but all the same, the Akatsuki crashing a funeral was a new low. And now that the leader of the akatsuki'd left, it'd fall into ruins. Kazuya was glad about that. The one thing that confused him... "What are they blaming the ninja for?" he asked, his voice trying to be as comforting as he could make it.

Kai shrugged. "I don't know. Kraven and Micah were talking about something, but I didn't learn much. I think they blame us for bring war. Like if we weren't around things would be more peaceful you know." She said. Kai sighed. "Are we really the cause of everything being destoyed?" She asked. She shook her head. "I wish that there was soemthing we could do....to fix the problem. Maybe we aren't meant to exist."

Kazuya looked at Kai and stroked her hair gently with a small smile. "Don't say things like that, okay? Even if we weren't around, war would still exist. It's human nature to cause conflict." Several years earlier, Kazuya would've never reffered to himself as human, but nowadays, it didn't bother him at all. He smiled at Kai and started walking while still carrying her. He was gonna take her for ice cream, but not tell her where they were going. He wanted to give her a nice surprise, especially since he didn't come around that often. Hearing how bad things were here, he was considering staying by the valley's in case Kai needed him.

Kai shrugged. She wasn't all that sure it was true but then again she trusted Kazuya more than anyone. As he started walking she tilted her head and looked down at him wondering where they were going. "Hey Kazuya, what'll happen when we really do find a new Hybrid?" She asked. "I mean, are they going to like you and me or are they going to be bad and not want to be messed with?"

Kazuya shrugged at Kai's question. "I guess it depends. If they were left alone where they lived, then they might not be so against help. But if they were hated in their village...." He shrugged. "I'll find a way to convince them that we're not out to hurt them," he said in a lighter tone. He gave Kai a light smile as they walked into the gates of a small, quiet town. "Hey Kai, I forget, what's your favorite kind of ice cream again?" He asked her with a smile. He knew by this question that she'd figure out where they were going.

Kai smiled. "Well I hope we can help them and they aren't rampaging somewhere," she said. When Kazuya asked her about the flavor icrecream she liked she smiled. "Yeah!!! Icecream," she chirped. "I like Vanilla with chocolate swirls!"

Kazuya laughed when Kai suddenly perked up at the mention of ice cream. He knew if there was anything that could make Kai happy, it was ice cream. Walking over to a store that sold ice cream (similar to Dairy Queen ^.^), Kazuya looked at Kai and smiled. "With sprinkles?" he asked, putting Kai down.

Kai shook her head as she was put down. "Sprinkles make it twice as good," she said with bright eyes. She looked at the icecream shop and bounced up and down twice. She loved Icecream. It's the best thing in the world next to a basket of strawberries. She grinned. She remembered that Kazuya like to eat Strawberries. It was her turn to surprise him. She thought back to where Tenkuu had taken her to the giant strawberry patch. She shook her head and smiled.

Kazuya gave a small laugh and walked up to the shop, ordering a chocolate and vanilla cone with sprinkles for Kai, and a simple strawberry ice cream cone for himself. He payed and handed Kai her ice cream. "Here ya go," he said with a smile. The more time he spent with Kai, the more he realized that he'd rather stay here than travel around. After licking his ice cream once, he looked at Kai and asked "So, what do ya wanna do?"

Kai smiled as she got her icecream and immediatly started to eat it. "This is great," she said. "I think we should go up into the hills," she said. "What do you think, want to come along?" She asked.

Kazuya shrugged. "Whatever you say kiddo," he said with a smile. He'd also gotten into the habit of calling her kiddo. He hoped she didn't mind it. Some kids took it so offensively when they're called kiddo. But he didn't think Kai was like that. Kazuya followed next to Kai as she went, taking another lick of his ice cream. Kazuya'd really missed Kai while he was gone, but being as he was, he didn't admit it most of the time, but it was always implied.

Kai kept eating away at her icecream but careful not to not to catch a brain freeze. As she walked she saw all different types of things. He eyes shinned as they came over the hill into the overly large Strawberry Patch. "Oh wow, it's been forever since I've been here," she said quietly. She looked at Kazuya. "Come on," she said grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the fields.

Kazuya's eyes glazed over the strawberry patch. He'd never seen any field so big before. Before he could look at it for more than a few seconds he felt his hand being pulled. Kazuya smiled and followed Kai down into the patch. She seemed so excited and Kazuya grinned at it. He was glad Kai was happy. "Were you purposely heading here Kai?" He asked with a small laugh. He remembered two years ago before he'd left the Death Valley when him and Kai just sat and ate strawberries on the porch of his old home. Memories like that made him decide that he was permenantly staying in this region of the world rather than wandering. He'd tell Kai later. Give her another surprise.

Kai smiled. "Maybe," she said as she let go of him and ran into a patch of strawberries. She looked around for a basket and found one on the edge. She picked it up and started to pluck the red fruit from the bushes. Every other strawberry she would eat one and grin at it's delicious taste.

Kazuya followed Kai into the strawberry patch, picking up a basket that was on the edge next to the one Kai had. He walked up next to Kai and smiled, picking a strawberry and taking a bite of it. "Who grew all these Kai?" he asked, putting a strawberry in his basket.

Kai smiled. "Tenkuu says that the person who grew these was part of some Clan called the Dioga Clan. She says that he's immortal and tends to the strawberries making sure they're healthy." She shrugged as she took another bite. "He lives in the old shack down there," she said pointing to a red shack. "He's been doing this for over 300 years and for some strange reason the strawberries stay like this all year long." Her eyes shinned. "I wish I could meet him to tell him that he does a great job."

"Oh, okay," he said looking around. He suddenly smiled and looked at Kai. "Well, if he lives right there, why don't we go and tell him?" He asked, putting his basket down.

Kai smiled at the idea. "Okay!" She said with a small laugh. "Come on Kazuya," she said as she started to run out through the fields and towards the shack that was in the far back. "To meet someone from the Dioga Clan is going to be so cool. I can't wait to tell all my friends," she said more to herself than anyone else.

Kazuya smiled as Kai started to run. Running up next to her, Kazuya had the urge to run as a wolf, but decided against it. They were going to talk to this man. It'd be best not to spook him by showing themselves as wolves.... Kazuya gave a small grin at Kai's excitement to tell her friends. As they reached the shack, Kazuya slowed, coming to a halt in front of he door of it. He looked at Kai with a smile. "Would you like to knock Kai?"
