Jay sat in bed sicker than ever. She had no idea what was wrong with her and neither did the doctors. They'd deemed it the flu, but Jay knew better. This was no flu. She gave a shaking cough and turned the tv. She was watching some strange tv show that she couldn't remember the name of. Jay sighed as she got up from her bed and walked to the bathroom. When she looked in the mirror she gave a laugh. "I look like hell," she said. Her voice sounded strained. She then walked down the hall to the kitchen. No one was home. Kai was out exploring the unknown and Micah was at work. Jay gave another cough. This one nearly knocked her over and she had to hold onto the counter to stay upright. She then made her way back to the bedroom and collasped onto the bed. Her hair was spread out and she felt as if someone had bead her with a baseball bat. Jay coughed again and for a second she started to choke. "Oh lord," she said after she'd finished. She then closed her eyes. She knew what was coming. She didn't want to admit it, but she was dying. Quickly she grabbed a sheet of paper and started to write on it:

Dear Kai and Micah,

I have you know that I love you both and hope
you two take care of yourselves. I will miss you forever.
Please tell my family I loved them alot, and I'm glad
to be going to a better place. Please don't forget me,
ever, for I shall forever remember you.

Love, Jay

With that the pen dropped from her hand and she laid on the bed watching the tv show that she couldn't recall what it's name was and never would as she gave her final goodbye. She was gone....
