I just wanted to see what is better? I like debates, I'm on the debate team at school.

Alright, what would you say is better, the north or the south?

I say the south because I live in South Carolina. Not only that but the south is warm and isn't poluted from the factories like up north.

What's your opinion.

Well, I'm from up north, (I also love debating), and although it's cold, I kinda like the hustle and bustle of the cities. And despite what other people think, northern air isn't really that bad. (Hehe, my home town is known for the distinct smell of cheerio's in the downtown area. I love it!)

Okay sure, I like the smell of cheerios too, but that still doesn't hide the fact that you can't have as much freedom as down here. Up north there's just too much stuff going on. There's no calmness. If you wwanted to go camping it'd take years to go to sleep. All you here is cars and noise. I don't see how you do it.

I think the south is a bit too quiet actually. And as for the north, we have terrific night scenes down here (not that I'd know...yet!)

Omg, I can't stand the quiet! (Are we talking like in the country, or in towns?) But anyways, from what you're saying, the north is way louder than the south, which by any standards, it too quiet for me. ^^

Yeah! A debate! Okay here's my theory. I like the south better because it's not nearly as cold down here as the north. Plus when it snows once every blue moon we get days out of school unlike the Northerners who have to go anyway. And even though I like the snow it's not my thing.

Well I don't live in the U.S. but I agree with Muna. It's better up north. We're having a big snowstorm where I'm at and it's fun because I enjoy the snow. Plus up north there's like everything. Shops, resteruants, it's just too cool.

The north because you can dress in layers. If you're cold wear extra clother, but if you hot take the layers off. In teh south it's very hot alot of time so they don't dress in layers. Plus the only way to cool down is staying inside with the AC or swimming. So I'm with the north.
