Kira lifted a couple of pieces of timber that had broken during repairs of a house. She had already told herself and the ninja working with her, she would be doing both the paperwork for the village and helping with the repairs. Of course, it was tiring her out and it showed every now and again, but she would shrug it off, continuing to work.

Rumiko was also helping out with the repairs. What else was there to do aside from scouting the outskirts of the village to make sure no one planning to attack. Going over to where Kira was working he gave her a curious look. "Maybe you should rest a bit," he suggested. "You're over working yourself. Repairs and paperwork, are you even getting any sleep?" He asked. It was his job as her assistant to make sure she wasn't on a downward sleep to passing out. She was Kage and they needed her at the top of her game. Not worn out, like now.... "Kira, at least take a break," he said. "For the sake of your health. I'll get two guards to take you home if you don't slow it down." It wasn't a threat, it was a promise. He wasn't going to let her overwork herself.

Kira looked to him, shaking her head. "I'm fine," she said, forcing a smile and starting to get back to work but stopping for a moment, having a major swirling headache and hot dizzying fever. Which was weird, her being a fire cat with a high fever......She moved to a small stump and sat on it, holding her temples and breathing slowly, her eyes closed. "Okay.....I'll take a break. A. Break," she told him, wanting to specify.

Rumiko smirked. "See, I'm only looking out for your well being and it's a good thing too. You look like you're about to fall over." Rumiko patted her on the shoulder. "You want me to get you some water, or tea? You don't look so hot. No pun intended." They were living in a field of active volcanoes, of course everyone was hot, but they were used to it by now. Unlike the other villages that visited and couldn't take the heat. That's what made the Magma so great.

Kira nodded, breathing slowly and deeply. "Y-yeah, I guess you're right," she told him with a sigh, not liking that she was like this at all. To his request, she smiled a bit. "That would be nice, some water please," she told him, coughing a bit. She tried to stand, but her body refused to allow her that, wanting rest with her now feeling sick, but she willed herself to standing.

"Sit down," Rumiko ordered. "You've done enough. If you keep pushing yourself, you'll only end up tiring yourself out even more." He told her firmly. "What will your people think when they see their Kage has passed out. Be smart about this Kira." It showed on his face that he was concerned about her. She really should be resting. The repairs were going great, no one should be pushing themselves, especially not the Kage.

Kira groaned and frowned. She couldn't figure out any way to argue with him, partially because of her headache and fever, but mostly because because he was right, unfortunately....She sat back down, closing her eyes and looking down, trying to avoid light for the moment. "Can I...have that water now, please?" she asked. Since she wasn't going to be moving much, she knew she'd need that water now.

Rumiko nodded and walked away to get the water. He hoped she didn't think badly of him for telling her to stay put. Rumiko had accidentally hurt a lot of people in the past. He felt like a no good scoundrel at times, but he'd come to the Magma to start over, and the best way to do that was by helping people out. He came back a few moments later with Kira's water. "Here," he said handing her the glass.

Kira smiled, taking it happily and drinking it down to half, wiping her mouth a bit. "Thanks, Rumiko," she said with a smile. She didn't mind that he had made her stop. When she thought about it, it made sense that if she passed out while helping, it wouldn't be good. Unfortunately, her sickness thought the same thing and her throat started to become sore. "Ow...," she whispered, whimpering softly and gently rubbing the outside of her throat.

"Kira, you should really call it a day. We all can call it a day," he told her. "That way. We've all been working really hard. It's time to call it a quits. We can start again tomorrow, but you should stay home," he told her. "It'd be for the best." Rumiko placed his hands in his pants pockets. "You're clearly getting sick, and overworking yourself will only make you sicker, you understand that right."

Kira sighed silently, sipping her water in thought. "I know....," she said sadly. She hated that....the thought that she couldn't be out with her village, helping with the necessary repairs. But, she knew he was right, that if she were to try, all she would do is get sicker and wear herself ou. She knew that's what anyone looking to take her village would want, to see the leader down and out. But....she did see it as time to get stuff in the office done, stuff that she had put aside to help. "Alright...No outdoor, super active work. But, I do have to do the stuff in the office."

Rumiko sighed. There was no persuading her to just sit down and rest. He'd hate to see her learn that this was not right the hard way. He doubted another attack, but there was no guarantee of anything. He kicked the side of the wall lightly. "Fine, if that's what you wish to do," he told her. He gave a small smile. "You're one tough cookie."

She smiled back. "Thank you. If I wasn't, then we may not have gotten as far as we could have in those attacks," she told him. She did get up though and finished her drink, wincing a bit but glad her throat was moist now. She stretched a bit. "Okay, I'll go on home and rest. Don't do anything crazy while I'm resting, okay?" she said with wink and hugging him. She took up her staff and went home, but taking a long route so she could see the progress in her village how much more they had to go....She sighed, knowing Rumiko was right. She really did need rest, because they had a lot of work to do. "I have to....thank him for this later....," she whispered to herself, smiling. She was glad that....he cared.
