'Silence' :

Cross watched as one of the lizards came at him, while the other one stayed behind. He'd blow them all up in a matter of minutes. Now that he'd found out what their weakness was. He wondered though, if he could manage to blow one up without using an oil bomb, and only using a bomb tag. Well, it was worth a try. Cross didn't pay much attention as the silver haired guy started how he was going to leave, but when he heard a sudden movement and the sound of the other guy slamming against a tree, Cross looked, his concentration breaking a bit. There were more creatures coming? When Cross felt claws rip across his stomach, he knew he had to deal with these lizards first. Swallowing, Cross moved swiftly, bringing a knee up into what might have been the thing's gut, before moving to slash a knife across it's face, pulling out a bomb tag and placing it on the thing's chest in an open-palmed punch.

The second lizard was quick to move when Cross looked away. He pounced on the tree behind him like a cat and leaped when the man with the wings punched his companion. It was going to break Cross's neck. It'd tried biting his head off without any success, but you know what they say. Try, try again. The Summoner had found this battle much more interesting as Cross got cut and Felix hit the tree. But she wonder, shouldn't the silver man be dead? He'd been hit by a giant. She huffed. No matter. They didn't know there was a giant in the vicinity, so all was good. She would win.

Felix wasn't sure if anything had broke when he hit the tree or the ground, but he knew that his arm hurt like hell. Wind Style Jutsu? I would have felt it though. Felix looked around and then to Cross who was still fighting the lizards, but it looked as if he'd been hit too, but not by the same thing. Felix looked to the girl in the tree. Could she have moved that fast and be that strong? It wasn't possible, was it? Felix was question all kinds of logic and then something hit him again and he went flying across the clearing. Whatever it was, it was blind siding him. Felix laid on the ground for a moment trying to stop his head from spinning. He'd be visiting Serenity when he got out of this.

Cross kept his gaze on both lizards as he pushed the first one away, whirling to face the one that was jumping off trees to get to him. Putting his arm up to take the bite rather than simply dodging it, he only flinched for a moment before he grabbed a knife out with his other hand and drove it into the lizards' skull. While it might have been less painful to avoid the bite, it also would've caused less accuracy, and Cross was ready to get rid of these things. Only now, blood was streaming down Cross's arm rather quickly. Even so, the fallen angel archtype didn't seem to be showing much emotion. He'd noticed that the other guy was taking a beating from something that seemed to be invisible. Strange. Cross would help the guy out after he finished his own fight. It didn't seem like the girl was moving, but then again, Cross hadn't really had the chance to look.

Since the silver haired man was down. The Forest Guardian moved to it's next target. Where the man dressed in black had just killed another lizard, the Guardian swept it's arm down at Cross, blindsiding him like he'd done the other man. The last remaining lizard looked at it's dead comrade feeling a bit alone. Where it was used to being in a group, it was by itself. It growled instead of hissed as it approached Cross. He'd tear him apart, make him suffer. He didn't deserve to live. He should have stayed out of the Unknown.

As soon as he'd killed the second lizard, Cross tossed the thing to the side, only to be swept forcefully into a tree. Cross fell to the ground, feeling completely dazed. Where had that come from? He was pulled out of his daze as he felt a sudden burning that caused him to sit up and grab his arm in pain, gritting his teeth. There was smoke rising from his wound, as if some kind of acid had been used. Blood trickling down the side of his face from being swept into the tree. Cross felt as though his arm was going to burn right off. Though, aside from the smoke, the damage was mostly superficial. Seeing the lizard coming at him, Cross forced himself to his feet. It looked like the other guy was out for the count. He'd have to take care of this himself. Though he'd hate to do this, he'd have to set the forest ablze to flush out the thing that had blindsided him. Throwing an oil bomb towards a seemingly normal tree, it exploded, coating the tree and the surrounding trees with oil. "I'd move if I were you," he called to the siler haired individual. Then he threw a couple knives at the lizard, before taking out a kunai with a bomb tag and throwing it at the tree that had oil on it, causing an explosion that set that tree as well as the surrounding ones on fire.

The lizard dodge the knives by going under them and then he came up to snap at Cross's already burning arm, purposely slinging saliva all over the place. When the forest caught fire, it didn't stop. Not even when the Forest Guardian revealed itself and started to roar for it too had caught fire. Swinging it's arms wildly, he begin to knock over trees, trying to rid itself of the fire that was engulfing it. The summoner was no longer smiling. That man had set the forest on fire. Who did he think he was? She stood up in her tree and moved a bit farther off as the fire spread.

Felix heard someone say move and then he felt heat, lots of heat. Opening his eyes he saw the forest was on fire. And with it some giant creature that was caught in a blaze. Felix sat up. His forearm felt odd. Checking to make sure no bones had broke through the skin he sighed with relief when saw everything was in tact. Good. Coughing he looked for the other guy, his attention went straight to the guy's arm. It was steaming. Felix rubbed the back of his head. He was bleeding. Great, his skull was probably cracked too. Ser would have a fit. He could here her now. Felix! What happened? What hurts? Lay here. Do that. Relax. Does that hurt? He rolled his eyes and wished he hadn't because it caused a massive headache on his part. "I think we should take that thing out, since we can see it now," Felix said as he pulled a scroll out.

(That woman of yours sounds naggy.)

Cross blinked in surprise when he heard the giant roar, finally showing itself. He wondered where it had come from. Surely they would have heard it moving about. It couldn't have just appeared there out of nowhere. Cross moved away from the lizard, more saliva landing on his arm and his jacket, proving Cross's theory correct in the worst way. Sending a roundhouse kick at the lizard's head, Cross sent most of his other oil bombs flying towards the guardian, covering it in even more thick oil. "Good idea," Cross stated in response.

Felix looked at the blood on his hand and rubbed it across the scroll. "Blue Banshee" A girl rose from the scroll. Her skin was blue and she had very red cheeks, dressed in Chinese clothing. "Kill it," Felix ordered. The Banshee nodded and stepped towards the giant. Jumping into the air, she spun several times and then came down on the creatures head with a powerful kick. Felix could see that it wasn't making much of a difference. It seemed fire was it's only weakness as of right now. Felix shook his head. "Banshee, scream." The oddly dressed girl landed back on the ground and taking in a deep breath, she let out an ear piercing scream. It was so powerful, that the sound waves were visible.

The giant guardian was not pleased with the fire that was burning all of it's green grass and trees. When the man threw more oil on him, further feeding the flames, the guardian swung his arm at Cross. It roared loader when something it's head. A blue woman, that could have been an Unknown Creature like itself, but it had attacked him. Swinging it's other arm out, it aimed for the silver haired man and the Banshee that had started to scream. The lizard had been out cold, but had gotten back up when it heard the scream. Although it hurt his ears, it did not get the full affect, because the Banshee was turned away from him. He took that as an advantaged and leaped at her like he was a dinosaur.

Cross cringed when the blue girl that Felix had summoned screamed, giving the guardian time to bring it's arm down to him. A moment before it his though, Cross beat his wings down once, shooting upwards and out of it's path. With the lizard distracted, Cross threw knives at it, with bomb tags attached. He'd blow the damn thing to hell and back. But next was to take care of the guardian. He hadn't thought of it until now, but he had the perfect summoning. He hadn't used this one in a while. Cross pulled a scroll from his jacket. He didn't usually use summonings, but he'd make an exception this once. Cross did the jutsu before unravelling the scroll and running his blood along it, dropping it to the ground. In midair, a creature appeared out of a cloud of smoke and dropped to the ground noiselessly. When the smoke cleared, what was left was a red skinned beast, or rather, a beast with red plated metal armor. Like a suit of ghost armor, it's appendages were linked by nothing but air. It was a thin creature, and instead of arms, it had blades. As was shown by Cross's first command to it, it's speed was incredible. "Jester. Slash." In the next instant, the creature was gone from it's spot and slicing off branches and tree limbs from the guardian, leaving only a red blur in it's wake. The creature was about the size of an average human male, but it's yellow and black eyes told the tale of thousands of years.

The summoner started to move forward as the last lizard was blown to bits. The man with the black wings was a dangerous foe. Almost as dangerous as she. Curious and anger all at the same time, she watched her last summoning fight. Whatever creature that the man with the wings had summoned, it was destroying her summoning. The Forest Guardian couldn't defend the rapid attacks and with the fire charring it's entire being, it was utterly defenseless. Swinging it's arms wildly in hopes of getting rid of the Jester it begin to walk around some more until finally it dropped to the ground, trying to rid itself of the fire.

Felix snatched the Banshee off the ground and out of the way as the thing swung it's arm at them. Landing a few feet off, Felix watch as the new summoning attacked with fierce strikes. Felix looked at the Banshee. "You need to get close enough to find an opening and send sound waves straight through him. He's wood, tear him apart." Felix stood up and made his way into a tree to help find and opening. He had to hold onto the tree when the thing fell. "There. On it's back," Felix pointed out. The Banshee quickly found the opening and made her way inside of the Guardian's structure. "Banshee, scream." Again, her ear piercing scream filled the air, but it was suppressed by the guardian who was taking most of the damage. Felix looked at Cross. "It's all yours, the wood should be easier to cut through."

'Silence' :

Cross watched as the Banshee made it's way into the guardian, letting out another piercing scream, that was, thankfully, a bit muffled this time. Cross's ears were still ringing from the last high pitched shriek. He only nodded to Felix when the silver haired individual spoke to him. "Jester," he called, and the red creature paused and turned it's head. "Have fun. But be careful of Banshee," he said plainly. In the next moment, a high pitched cackling sound escaped the Jester, before it sped off, hacking and slashing at everything it could get at. In that moment, Cross turned his head to look at the girl who had been watching the whole fight. He wondered if she could speak. He kept his gaze on her until he caught her eye, and even then didn't turn his gaze away, as if he were daring her to come closer. Or more, requesting that she come closer. He'd figured out by now just who she was. Or rather, what she was. He wasn't going to kill her, but he was a bit curious about her. In fact, maybe if he was lucky, Cross would run into her again the next time he came to the Unknown. After all, the only reason he came here was for a challenge.

The summoner watched in despair as the Guardian begin to crumble. When she spotted Cross looking at her she held his gaze for a brief moment before dropping from her tree. She approached with little caution until she was at the edge of the tree line. There was plenty of distance between them. This was not over, but for now, she would retreat. Next time she'd bring about a more dangerous creature. This had only been a test of his skills. She turned away and disappeared into the darkening forest.

Felix watched the thing break down as the black haired man's summoning tore it apart. Felix smirked. "That's pretty impressive," he stated. He turned and looked over his shoulder to see the girl had moved closer. Was she planning on taking them on? She seemed more interested in Cross, so Felix went and picked up Banshee's scroll as the blue woman crawled out. His ears were ringing as well. It was rare for him to use her, but today had seemed like a good day. It had been much needed. Felix started roll the scroll up, but didn't completely close it unless something happened. When the woman walked away he resealed the scroll. "Well done," he told Banshee as she disappeared. "You going after her?" Felix asked Cross.

(....that's how guys do things. Fight first, ask questions later. At least, that's how these two guys seem to do things.)

Cross kept his gaze on the girl as she came closer. He was curious about her. And he didn't get curious often. It was odd though. He hadn't expected her to come as close as the tree line, and she didn't even say anything before she turned away and started disappearing. He blinked. "Hey!" He called, taking a step forward, but stopping. Following her would lead him off the path, and he didn't have supplies for spending an indefinite amount of time in the Unknown. He wasn't even sure why he wanted to talk to her. He gave a light sigh as the Jester came back over to him. It came up just below Cross, in terms of height. He patted the creature on the head twice. "Good job Jester." He picked up the scroll, shaking his head at Felix question as he rolled it back up. "Not today," he said. After he put the scroll away and Jester disappeared, he looked at Felix. "The name's Cross," he said plainly. Hey, why the hell not tell him? If the guy hadn't come, while Cross wouldn't have ended up dead, he would have been a lot more injured than he was.

Felix didn't know many people who came to the Unknown, half the ones that went in never came out. And this guy was talking about he wasn't going after the Summoner today, which mean he would some other day of the week. He had the skills to do so, but was this like a game to him? Did he enjoy the thrill of danger. Felix did. He should come here more often, but whenever he thought about it, he Serenity's worried face. She had an inescapable grip on his life without even knowing it. "Felix." He responded when Cross introduced himself. It was ironic in a sense.

Cross kept his gaze on Felix for a moment, as if analyzing him. In fact, he was analyzing him. The guy had gotten up after being tossed into a tree by a giant. Twice. Didn't seem like an amateur fighter. Maybe a ninja. There was a headband on his arm. Cross recognized it to be the symbol of the Crested. Interesting. "A pleasure," he said, still quite emotionless in his words. "Not often I come across someone this deep in the Unknown," he stated. "Sure you're not just trying to lure me into a trap?" See, Cross had a sense of humor too. Though, with his usually expressionless face, it never really came across as humor. What a pity.

So he wasn't as dead as he let on. Felix smirked at the question. "I'm not one for games," Felix said as he rubbed his forearm. It was already turning a purplish color. "But I do enjoy a good adrenaline rush. This place is filled with great opportunities. I'm a bit disappointed the fight didn't last longer." Felix looked around and grinned. "The forest...is still on....fire." How had he forgotten that? He sighed. Right when I put Banshee up too. "Wind Style: Ravaged Winds." The force of wind struck down on the trees, wiping out the flames, but leaving the trees standing. All done. "What brings you to the Unknown?" He asked.

"So if you wanted to kill me, you would have tried already," he said, then shrugged. Tried. Cross didn't fancy himself as being invincible, but he was pretty damn close. At least, when it came to fighting ninja from the Vallies. Or any other kind of ninja for that matter. The only place that provided him with a challenge was the Unknown. "You should've come earlier. Maybe she would have summoned more creatures," he said. He looked around at the fire as well. How coy were they, standing in the middle of a forest fire, making idle conversation. Cross almost chuckled when the guy put the fire out. It was actually kinda funny. Shifting a little, Cross's wings rustled behind him. Getting thrown into a tree like he had had really messed them up. Now they were stiff. He could barely even move them. He looked back to Felix. "Just a bit of training. I was bored." Not often Cross admitted to being bored, except maybe to Alice. "You?"
