*Koriyama stands in the training field of the magma waiting for his newest student he arrived early so he could greet his student. he was quite excited this was his first student and he wanted to to the best he could to help the aspiring young shinobi be the best he can be* Yuichi Hans... hmmmm *reads though his academy file* hlaf frowning* this kid sure has had it tough... well i hope it hasn't made him a troublemaker... well we will see *closes his file putting it in his pouch and pulls out a magazine he had been reading and leans on a target dummy*

Yuichi had been glad to graduate the academy, but he was a bit terrified about meeting his sensei. What if he didn't meet his sensei's expectations? The brown haired child walked almost solemnly towards the grounds. His shirt sleeves were rolled all the way down, for the slightest hints of snow were starting. Upon his arrival he stopped, looking at the blue haired man in the distance that was reading a magazine. Yuichi shuffled his feet lightly before he continued. "Namikaze-sensei?" His brown eyes were round, unsure of what to expect.

hmmm? *he looks over his magazine eyeing the child thoughtfully. he puts away his magazine* Hello you must be Yuichi *he smiles warmly and bows* it's nice to meet you. welcome to squad 12... its just you and me for now... but as soon as more students come out of academy you should have more teammates. so what was your specialty in school yuichi? *looks down expectantly at the youth*

"It's nice to meet you too, sir." He gave a tiny bow. Yuichi bit his lip as he looked up at the man. Specialty? "I don't think I have any, sir. I'm not that great of a ninja." To admit that aloud hurt, a lot. "But I am willing to learn, I promise you I am." He didn't want to be sent back to the academy. He wanted to be a great ninja, or at least an average ninja. He didn't want to be kicked out of the village and left to die. He just wanted to survive. That's all he could ever ask for is survival.

*he squated down to eye level with the boy* we all have things we are good at. where you better with ninjutsu taijutsu or genjutsu? or perhaps you are better with weapons? *he noticed the boy seemed nervous and possibly also very hungry* and i have no doubt you intend to be a great ninja and i intend to help you become just that. *he nod to the boy with a determined smile on his face* but before we go further lets get some lunch. what do you want my treat.
oh and namikaze is too formal just call me Iyama-sensei

Hungry wasn't the word. Poor Yuichi didn't remember the last time he'd had a decent meal and his brown eyes were round with gratefulness as he was told they could get lunch first. "Anything is fine with me," he said shyly. "I really don't know what I'm good at. The teachers always say that I am equally bad in all things, so I guess I'm equally good on all things too." He shrugged. He was glad this man wasn't mad because he was weak. He would be strong one day, they just had to wait and see.

*thinks to himself he is going to have a discussion with the teachers at the academy* well there is barbeque... ramen... dumplings... hot pot... anything you like. i cant exactly put you though trials on an empty stomach. you wouldn't be able to do your best. we will find out what your best at *begins walking towards town* so which element are you good with? fire? water? wind? or are you a magma user? (certainly any other types apply as well.)

To ask for all would be too much, so Yuichi chose only one. "Barbeque, please." He didn't know he'd come looking hungry. He hadn't meant for it to be that way. He scrambled after Koriyama. "I don't know my element either. I guess magma, since I'm a magma ninja." He didn't know a lot of things and this aggravated a lot of people he knew. He never meant to make anyone mad. He just didn't know. He rubbed his eyes. "What a-are you good at, sensei?"

me? well i use sand fire and magma style ninjutsu. as well as my kekki genkai. *rummages though his pouch and pulls out a strip of paper and hands it to him* think of this as litmus paper seal your ands for chakra moulding and hold it between your fingers. this will tell us what nature you are proficient with. (im certain you have seen this in the show fire burns the paper, wind cuts it in two, lightning wrinkles the paper, earth the paper crumples into dirt and blows away, water the paper gets damp, magma the paper will melt.) *turns down a street toward the barbeque*

Yuichi's eyes grew wide. "Three ninja styles, that's amazing!" He couldn't hide the excitement. He could only dream of being that experienced. He took the paper gently in his hands. He looked at it closely, watching it melt slowly. He almost dropped it, thinking it might burn him. "What does this mean," he asked. He had never seen such a thing. It was quite strange, but he knew it had to be important.

Magma style! so you will likely beable to someday master 3 natures someday too. *he smiles at the boy* there was a time when magma style was very rare but it has become fairly normal now. not all magma user also learn fire and earth styles as well but if you work hard you will learn all of them *smiles at him going into the shop* a table by the window please! and bering on the platters please *he laughs a bit and looks to him* eat your fill kid we are gonna work hard today!

Three seemed like an awful lot, but if his sensei believed in him, he would believe in himself too. "I always thought that the Magma had been here for a long time. In school they taught us that there were four villages in the beginning," he said. Although he wasn't bright, he had often tried to pay attention instead of snooze through his classes. He'd learned very quickly that the teachers didn't like that. The smell of food made his mouth water and he couldn't help but scramble up into the chair with eagerness. He was really hungry and as food came his way he dug in. "Thank you Koriyama-sensei."

your welcome *he smiles* but you might wanna cook it first.... *pointing to the grill on the middle of the table* as for your natures we will worry about them later we will be testing all of your skills a bit today. *he nodded laying a few pieces of beef over the grill it sizzles enticingly* everyone has some skill somewhere. its just figuring that out that's the trick. *he nods drinking some tea* so tell me are you living in one of the individual apartments yet?

His face stuffed with beef, Yuichi looked down at the grill before he swallowed. "Oops." He was far too innocent for his own good. The orange haired child slowly pushed the beef towords the grill and looked around the resturant as a distraction as he waited. He raised his head when his sensei inquired about his living arrangements. "Individual apartments?" He didn't want to lie about his living arrangements, but he didn't want to be removed as a ninja for not having a designated home. "I-I live wherever it's warm. Which is everywhere in the village." That was supposed to be a joke, but even Yuichi didn't find it very funny. He peered towards the cooking meat, wishing it would finish cooking so that he could stuff his tiny face, that way he wouldn't have to talk about things he didn't want to discuss.

*he furrowed his brow* that won't do... he cant have you being homeless... *he nudged his cooked pieces toward Yuichi putting down more meat and some veggies* your an asset if the village and you should be assigned housing i will make sure we get that squared away, for now however i will talk to my folks and see if you can stay in my old room with them. *he nods as if this was just a simple fact abd grabs a medium rare strip of beef and eats it* mmmmm

Yuichi remained quiet. "With all do respect sensei, I don't want to be a burden to your family. Nor would I want your family to be shamed by my reputation and background." He was looking down at the table, his brown eyes watering with tears. He wasn't sad, he was happy that someone would show him such kindess. He slowly pulled the cook meat towards himself. His appetite had subsided. If things worked out, he would have a home, but he didn't know how to take care of a house. Would someone be there to help him? The questions were endless, but he stuffed his face with food to avoid thinking about it.

*he sighed gently looking down with a smile* you won't be a burden your repuation will only get better if you get strong and become confident and work your hardest to protect the magma! *he smiles and patted him on the back* living on the streets won't do. so i will hear nothing more about it. as for when you get your apartment you will be responsible for keeping it clean. there furnished with the essentials, a Bed, Table, Kitchen equipment a washer for your clothes and hanging lines for drying. anything else you might want will be up to you to get. as soon as we start taking on missions you will be required to pay some towards your water and electricity. *continues eating he eats sparingly allowing Yuichi to get his fill*

Yuichi didn't agree with his sensei. He strictly believed that there would be a black spot on his reputation for the rest of his life. His father, or the man thought to be his father had refused to accept him as a son. To add on to it, everyone had thought Yuichi was trying to ruin the name of the Hans family. It was a real tragedy on his part. "What if I don't get a mission for a very long time, then what am I to do?" He sounded almost horrified. "Will they kick me out?"

*kori had to laugh at this kids drama he tousled his hair* like i said you will be expected to contibute you will always have lea way wen it comes to paying and there won't be a shortage of missions for us there's always something that needs to be done somewhere by somebody Yuichi and we are the ones who are often called to do it. *he nods munching on some of the grilled veggies* you need to learn to relax a little your gonna be just fine *he nods*
