Kymir woke up with a sinking feeling in his gut. Though he'd slept good for the first time in months. It had been his first night at Kazuya's house and now he had to go and make up all the damage he'd done. Plus he'd get enrolled into the ninja academy today. Kymir ran himself a bath and when he'd finished dressed and left for the village. When he'd gotten to one of his victims he went through the process of explaining. He spent three hours cleaning her house, but the pain did not end. He had seven other people to see before his day was over and tomorrow it'd start again. Kymir had to scrub a shop by hand, wash a bunch of stinking horses, clean out some man's farm, wash someone's walls, paint another's house, do a lady's shopping, and to end it wash all the ramen man's dishes after rush hour. When Kymir was finished he was too tired to go anywhere but dragged himself away because of a sign that said no Loitering. Kymir stopped on a bench and yawned tiredly. He felt like an underpaid maid.

Kazuya sat back in his chair an sighed after finishing his last bit of paperwork. It was time for him to go out and see how things were going around town for a bit. As he walked around, he was hearing talk that some kid was going around and trying to make up for stealing to certain people. Kazuya gave a light smile. He knew exactly who they were talking about and was glad that Kymir was actually doing what he said he would. While walking down a street, he saw the little kid sitting on a bench and walked over to him with a smile. Sitting down next to him, Kazuya said "Word's getting around quickly. How're you doing after all that?" He'd heard several people talking about what they had him do. Half of the stuff alone would have most people passed out by the end of the day.

Kymir blinked as he heard someone talking to him. He was sort of oout of it so it took him a moment to recognize Kazuya's voice. 'Huh?" He asked as gave a small sigh. "Oh, yeah, it's hard," he said. "But it's worth it to regain the respect of the village. I don't want them hating me for the rest of my life." Kymir looked down at the dirt road. "I'm finished for the day, but I have to go back to Mr.Anders tomorrow so I can help him rake the yard."

Kazuya smiled. "You're doing good Kymir. But how about we go get you something to eat? I'm sure you're pretty hungry, right?" Immediately after he asked, Kazuya had to wonder how long it's been since the kid had a decent meal, if ever.

Kymir looked at Kazuya as he offered something to eat. Kymir shrugged. "I guess that's okay," he said with a small smile. It didn't last though. Who am I kidding, this isn't going to last long. Nothing ever last long. Everytime I try...well...things just don't work out. I end up screwing up and when that happens, he'll think me a failure. Kymir shook his head to get the thoughts away. "I'm ready," he said quietly.

Kazuya got up and gave a small wave for Kymir to follow him. After a minute, Kazuya walked into a restaurant and sat at a booth. Almost immediately a waitress came up to take their order. Kazuya went there often so practically everybody there knew him by name. "The usual," he said with a small shrug, then looked at Kymir with a small smile.

Kymir gave a small sigh as he slid off the bench and walked up after Kazuya. He wondered where they'd go and eat. Not to mention that he had never gone to a resteraunt and eaten. He'd more like hit and run. Kymir climbed into the seat and looked as a waitress came up. The first thing that came to mind was steak. He looked at Kazuya then back to the waitress. "Hamburger."

The waitress nodded and walked away. Kazuya looked at Kymir. "Hey Kymir, have you ever been to a restaurant before..?" He couldn't help but think this must've been awkward for Kymir, but maybe he'd get used to it quickly.

Kymir looked at Kazuya as the waitress left. "Um....well." Kymir fell silent. Why was Kazuya asking him these stupid questions anyway. "What's it to you," he snapped as he turned in his seat so that he was facing the opposite directon. He then put his head phones on, turned on the music, crossed arms, and then started swinging his legs.

Kazuya sighed and gave a light smile as he turned away. "Okay, okay, I get it." A minute or so later, the waitress came back with dumplings (lol) on one plate for Kazuya and another plate with a hamburger and frenchfries on it for Kymir. Smiling she walked away to take care of some other customers. Kazuya took a bite of one of his dumplings silently. If Kymir didn't want to talk, Kazuya was fine with that. He just hoped the kid was okay.

Kymir turned at the smell of hamburger coming his way. He slowly turned around so it didn't seem as he was dying of something delicous to eat. As she sat the food down he picked up his burger and started to wolf it down. (No that's not suppose to be some bad Hybrid joke.) After he'd finished it in nearly four bites he started on his fries. So much for acting like he was hungry... When he'd finished it all he sat back slightly. Steak would have gone better...

Kazuya smiled as he saw how quickly Kymir ate. He figured that he'd be hungry. Looking at Kymir, he asked "Want anything else? How bout you order something to drink too?" Then ate another dumpling.

Kymir looked Kazuya as he was asked if he wanted anything else. Kymir narrowed his eyes at him. He wanted to say 'Leave me alone', but instead "Can I have a steak and some soda," came out. Kymir then turned his head and took his head phones off, but continued to let the music play. Kymir hated asking for help, but then again he hadn't really asked, he'd been offered. Sighing he laid his head on the table. It was cold against his cheek.

Kazuya nodded. "Sure," then he waved the waitress over and told her the order. She walked off and Kazuya looked back at Kymir. "Are you okay?" I know this is a big change for you, is what he wanted to say, but that would probably only tick the kid off.

Kymir didn't move as Kazuya said sure and order his second round of food. When he was asked if he was okay Kymir just shrugged. "What do you think," he said miserably. "I've been a thief all my life and now I'm trying to fix it up. I'm also trying to become a ninja. I'm tired beyond belief and starving to death. I want to crawl into a hole and cry because I can't get anything right." He said. "You walk into my life, give me a lecture on life and now I'm staying with you. But how long's it gonna last until you're tired of caring for me?" Kymir gave a shudder. "You didn't want a kid hanging around you in the first place, you could have kicked me out, but you didn't. What are you planning," he asked. Kymir then fell silent for several minutes. "You think you can walk into my life and fill that empty gap where my parent's are suppose to be?" He asked with a mixer of bitterness and sadness.

Kazuya sighed. "Listen Kymir, if you're looking for me to apologize for trying to help you, I won't. And I'm not trying to fill the gap your parents left...I'm sure no one can do that." Kazuya gave a small smile. "And I don't mind kids." Kazuya looked at Kymir a few seconds before saying "Listen Kymir, I promise, on my honor as a hybrid, I'll take care of you. I'm not gonna get tired of taking care of you, okay?"

Kymir gave let out a small sigh. "Whatever," he said "I didn't ask you to apologize..." Kymir was starting to wonder how long he'd last with Kazuya. Not long was his guess. Maybe that's why I wont go to a foster home. If I was put up for adoption no one would keep me for long because I'm stuck up. So what, they'll have to get over it. I wouldn't go to a dumb place like that anyway, I just run away! Kymir sat up as Kazuya said on his honor as a Hybrid. He then spun towards Kazuya, his yellow eyes glowing with anger. "Is that why you're only taking care of me! Because you're the Hybrid leader and it's your job!" Kymir jumped down from his seat and pushed Kazuya. "I should have know it was too good to be true."

Kazuya blinked. What'd just happened? "No, Kymir, that's not why I'm helping you, I'm helping you because....." Kazuya's voice faded. Did he really want to say it? It would probably only drive the kid away more. "I'm helping you because I know what you're going through, okay? It's not because you're a hybrid!"

(lol, what just happened? I love Kaz.)

Kymir looked at Kazuya. "How would you know what I'm going through," he snapped angrily. "You're living it big as Kage of the Death. How could you possibly know." Kymir was too angry for tears and felt his blood starting to boil. "You know nothing baout me, you don't know who I am, where I came from, ou can't possibly know because I don't know myself," he admitted. He wasn't sure if he'd meant to say that or if it'd just slipped, but it was out there. Not to mention all the screaming was causing attention to be drawn towards them.

Kazuya looked at Kymir. "I became the Kage less than a week ago because they had no one else." Sighing, Kazuya put some money on the table and got up. "Listen, let's go somewhere where there's not so many people, okay?" He didn't want to cause sucha disturbance to the villagers lives, especially by arguing with a one year old.

Kymir started to mimic Kazuya. "I became the Kage less than a week ago," he repeated. Then when Kazuya told him that they were leaving he stopped. "I'm not going anywhere," he said firmly as he stood where he was. "I don't care anything about these stupid villagers." He said. "I've spent a day working my ass off for them and I've got not one thank you. I hate Mr.Anders and his smelly old house. I hate Ms. Maddie and her three cats. I hate cats period!" He snapped. "I hate that dumb shopkeeper and his wanna be rich attitude, and I hate that old hag that lives on the hill with her snobby attitude." Kymir was shaking with anger. "This village makes me so sick. They're so ungreatful!"

Kazuya sighed. There'd be no easy way to get to this kid. Sitting down on a chair, Kazuya looked at Kymir. "I lived the same way you did for most of my life," he said quietly. "I wasn't nearly as young as you are though. I don't want you to turn out how I did." He wanted him to calm down so that he could talk to him instead of having to yell at him.

(I'm gonna make you really mad after this.)

Kymir looked at Kazuya as he took a seat. How nice, a brownie point for putting the big bad Hybrid in check. When Kazuya had finished he said, "You turned out pretty fine, if you ask me," he said sarcastically. He then rolled his eyes at Kazuya. He then turned to walk off, but stopped. "You're a mutt," he said as he kicked Kazuya in the shin and then took off out of the store.

(OMFG, RLY?!)

Kazuya was starting to get the feeling back that this kid was hopeless. Unfortunately for this kid, Kazuya was one of those guys that would die before breaking a promise, especially one to a child. Angrily, Kazuya got up and followed Kymir out, picking him up by the back of his shirt and carrying him back to the house. It was more than obvious this kid wasn't going to like this much. Kazuya dropped Kymir on the couch and looked at him angrily. "You know kid, I'm starting to see why you were refusing help. You just can't learn to change, even if it's for the better can you? The way your turning out, I'm starting to think that the only place you're going to end up is either living witha bunch of no good rogues or joining the akatsuki. Listen Kymir, neither of those is something you want." Looking off to the side, Kazuya put his head in his hand a minute before looking back at Kymir. "Why is it so damn hard for you to trust me?"

(ohh, this is about to get nasty!)


Kymir felt himself being lifted and was diffinantly not please with it. "Let me go you no good soft hearted know it all scum bag!" Kymir screamed. When he was dropped on the couch he jumped up and glared at Kazuya. "How would you know what's best for me!" Kymir jumped off the couch and moved back. He needed some room. Lots of room. "Maybe I will join the Akatsuki, that way they can't tell me how to run my life!" "And it's hard to trust you and anyone else because when you trust someone you always end up getting stabbed in the back! And I'm not going that route again!"
