Most of the Akatsuki had been sent out on their assignments, but the remaining few were guarding the Hideout incase of a sneak attack. They'd have to move the Hideout soon. While he'd planned the assignments Deidara had made sure to keep Deita on standby. It was time he started to train the young Akatsuki. Afterall, he was probably going to be Deidara's successor. That and the fact the kid was possibly worn out from the fight with Death Valley. Him and Daya both. Deidara grinned. The Akatsuki were once again rising to the top. Walking outside he started for the mountains that enclosed the Hideout. There he'd wait for Deita so the training could start. There was no testing your strength with Deidara. He'd done that when Deita fought the others. It was all or nothing from here on out.

Deita couldn't have been more excited if he tried. He'd been told that his training would start today. He adjusted his sword on his back and checked to make sure he had everything he needed before heading out towards where he was supposed to meet Deidara. When he got there, his eyes shined with excitement. He knew this would be hard, but he would get through it. "Hello sempai," he said as he walked up to Deidara.

Deidara looked at Deita as he came up. So the kid hadn't chickened out. Maybe he would make a good Akatsuki. "I'm pleased that you even showed your face," he said and walked towards the kid stopping a few feet away. "Are you ready to start," he asked. "There are no rules. You whatever you want and no holding back because I won't. We Akatsuki don't fear death, understand." He didn't wait for Deita's answer. He just pulled a kunai and whipped it at the kid.

Deita looked at Deidara as he said that he was pleased that he showed up. "It's not like I was gonna chicken out, this is the whole reason I came to the akatsuki!" he said firmly. Deita nodded as Deidara asked if he was ready to start. This sounded a bit more like a full out battle rather than training. Deita swallowed lightly as Deidara told him that he wouldn't be holding back. Deita was sire that he probably wouldn't even land a hit on him if that was the case. Deita didn't see it coming when Deidara whipped a kunai at him. He quickly tried to pull out his sword, but the kunai hit him dead in the shoulder. Deidara really wasn't joking. Deita would have to be careful. He'd never actually seen Deidara fight in close combat, so that'd be what he'd test first. Of course, he'd get his ass kicked in this first training session, but he'd do much better in the second one hopefully. Cuz then he'd know what to do. Taking the kunai out of his shoulder, he threw it back at Deidara, then ran at him and tried to slash at him with his sword.

Deidara looked at Deita as he got hit. "You're slow," he said. "A Stealth ninja would kill you in a matter of seconds." Deidara then stepped out of the way of the kunai and pulled a new one and blocked Deita's sword. "And you lack strength." He then pushed the kid back and whipped the kunai at him again. Deidara could keep this up all day.

Deita listened to Deidara's criticism as he told him that he was both slow and lacked speed. Well he was only 4, what more could Deidara expect? As Deidara pushed him back, Deita stumbled and barely managed to block the second kunai. Deita knew that he'd have to pull some tricks if he wanted to survive this fight. He allowed his sword to start glowing and ran at Deidara again. This time the sword would cause an explosion on contact. The only thing that really worked to Deita's advantage here was that he knew it was coming.

Deidara was suprised the kid had nothing to say about what Deidara had told him. There was no whinning about how he was trying or complaining about how he was only four years old and couldn't stand up to Deidara because he was an adult. Had he said something Deidara would have told him it was a load of bullshit anyway because the runt had stood up against Xantrex. When Deita's sword started to glow Deidara moved back some. He'd watched Deita fight enough times to know that the kid meant to blow something up when his sword glowed. Pulling a third kunai he threw it at Deita; attached was a paperbomb.

Deita hadn't been in enough fights with ninja to know what it was attached to Deidara's kunai, so he blocked it with his sword, only to be thrown back by his explosion combined with that of the paperbomb. After rolling across the ground a few times, Deita got up before the smoke could clear and did a jutsu, creating a shadow clone of himself, of which ran through the smoke at Deidara. The real Deita, however, appeared a few yards behind Deidara and quietly put his sword into the ground, letting a stream of chakra race towards Deidara through the ground and explode under him. One way or the other, Deita wouldn't let Deidara out of the first training session unscathed. He was starting to realize that his sword glowing gave away his attacks, especially after someone had already seen them. He'd have to work on getting rid of the glowing.

Deidara pulled a kunai and wiated until Deita jumped from the smoke and tried to attack him. He dunked under the kid and brought his kunai upwards into his stomach. The only problem was that the kid was just a clone and right after the ground exploded from underneath him. Deidara backed away. "So you've got some brains, I hope you plan to put them to use more often," he said and threw a kunai at Deita.

Deita watched as his attack worked with a smile. He didn't say anything when Deidara said that he hoped that Deita planned to use his brains more often. He did, of course. He didn't want Deidara to think even for a moment that Deita didn't belong here. When Deidara threw the kunai at Deita, he dodged it, but lost his balance and fell backwards. How he lost his balance was beyond him. He scrambled to get up, knowing that if he didn't hurry, Deidara would be right in front of him when he got up. Deita held his sword ready when he got up, because he knew he wouldn't have time to launch another attack because Deidara would already have launched another of his own.

Deidara decided to switch it up a bit. He wouldn't attack right away. He'd catch Deita off guard. Anyone would believe that their attacker would waste no time, but Deidara had different plans. He let several moments pass before moving behind Deita. He retreived a kunai and brought it down on his little prodigy.

Deita didn't expect for Deidara to not attack right away, so he was caught off guard when Deidara tried to move behind him and attack him instead. Deita quickly went to turn around to try to block the hit with his sword, but instead of it hitting his sword, Deidara's kunai went down along the side of his arm. Frozen for a moment from the shock of the hit, Deita took a step back. He'd never actually been seriously wounded before, and he did not like the feel of it. Instead of continuing to stand there like an open target though, Deita went to swing his sword at Deidara, just to buy himself enough time to get over the shock so he could think properly. At the moment he wasn't trying to come up with anything clever, just trying to survive was his main goal.

Deidara didn't even phase when the kid slashed his sword at him. Deidara was positive the kid hadn't fought such an opponent, or one that swithed up his moves every so often to confuse the opponent enough to have the guy's guard let down. That was when Deidara let on a full attack and killed his oppenent. "Don't tell me a flesh wound has got you shaken," he said and blocked Deita's sword. He allowed some distance between them.

Deita tried to hold his blade when Deidara had blocked his sword, but jumped back instead. He swallowed when Deidara said that a flash wound had him shaken. "O-of course not!" he said, holding his sword in place. He couldn't give Deidara even once chance to second guess Deita. It was time to try something different. Deita let a static charge flow invisibly from his hands into his blade and went at Deidara again, ignoring the pain in his arm. Even though this was only Deita's first time in training, he didn't complain that Deidara was being so ruthless.

Deidara counted backwards to himself when the Akatsuki child told him that he was not shakening because of a flesh wound. "Really, well, let's see you prove it." Deidara then stepped back to get ready for Deita's oncoming attack. His kkunai held steadily infront of him. "For your sakes I hope you have a plan. Charging blindly into battle will only get you killed." False threats, Deidara would see how they affected Deita's focus.

Deita didn't falter as Deidara said that charging into battle would get him killed. Of course Deita knew that already. But that didn't mean that it didn't scare the living hell out of him. He was going to get revenge on those wolves if it killed him. And the only way he'd be strong enough to take them out was by training. That was all Deita had to think to keep him going. Deita slashed his sword diagonally at Deidara. The electricity was invisibly surrounding his sword, and Deidara was holding a metal kunai. If Deidara blocked again, it would work in Deita's favor because Deidara would be shocked. And not in a metaphorical sense either.

"So, you're not afraid of death. Maybe you are worth being with the Akatsuki. Deidara then went to block the kunai, but a suddent jolt made him drop the weapon he held and back away. It was as if thousands of waves of electricty had just made its way through him. Deidara stepped back from the kid. "Alright," he said raising his hand to tell Deita to give him a sec. The kid had finally pulled a new stunt. "Nice job Deita," Deidara said praising his young prodigy. "Want to call it a day or continue?"

Deita couldn't believe that the attack had worked. Up until now it had seemed that Deidara was invincible. Deita had gone for another attack, but stopped when Deidara had held his hand up, then took a step back from Deidara. He didn't want Deidara trying any trick moves. Deita smiled as Deidara told him good job. The smile faded as Deidara asked if he wanted to call it a day or keep going. Deita was actually already really tired, and his arm was throbbing very painfully. He wondered if it was a trick question. "C...call it a day," Deita said, sounding a bit unsure.

Deidara looked at the kid. "Alright then, let's head back." Deidara had been bent over,. His hands on his knees but now he stood up straight and walked towards Deita. "You're not that bad, but we've got to work on your speed and not having you sword glow as much," he said. "And your confidence too," Deidara said, hinting on the fact that Deita didn't sound sure when he answered. "Other than that, you're okay."

Deita looked at Deidara as he said that they should head back and nodded. So it hadn't been a trick question after all. When Deidara said that they had to work on his speed and his sword not glowing, he nodded. He looked down when Deidara mentioned his confidence though. "Okay sempai," he said. Sure, Deita didn't have the most confidence, but he had grown up in a family where over-confidence was welcomed with being struck. When Deidara said that other than those things he was good to go, Deita couldn't help but smile.
