Halo only rolled her eyes as Bat said that he liked challenges and that girls screamed easily. "Guess that just means you'll have to try extra hard, now doesn't it?" she said with a grin, her green eyes shining. And she knew that for Bat, to torture someone more, was a plus. Looking at Kaoru, who was still behind the older man, Halo moved to the side a bit while taking a couple projectiles off the shelf behind her, and launching them at the blue haired girl.

Kaoru stood behind Kinaga. Not because she was thinking of him as a shield, or a protective fatherly figure, but because she was trying to gather herself. When the girl threw a few projectiles Kaoru came from behind Kinaga and blocked them. She looked at this girl, no, she couldn't think of her as a girl. Just someone in a girl's body. Kaoru took a deep breath and got her kunai ready. "I don't think they use normal jutsu," she told Kinaga.

Kinaga gave a glance towards Kaoru as she blocked the weapons thrown at her. He was glad that she'd been able to block them, because though he wouldn't say it...she looked pretty banged up. "It only makes sense. Since these aren't normal children," he stated in response to her comment. Kinaga may have been clueless when it came to personal matters, and matters of emotion, but if there was one thing he did have, it was common sense. What ordinary six year olds would be able to take on a full fledged ANBU? None. Not unless they weren't actually ordinary six year olds. Kinaga'd already deducted that much, it was only a matter of time before he figured out something that would help them defeat these little monsters. The first thing he'd noticed about these two had been there cloaks. They were Akatsuki. That only added onto the fact that these kids weren't normal. You had to be extremely powerful to be in the Akatsuki, and what human six year olds could gain that amount of power? Again, the answer was none. Since the small boy seemed so eager to fight with him, Kinaga'd allow him the first move. Although...fighting in a weapon shop full of explosives and sharp objects probably wasn't the best idea in the world. But it beat being outside, where there were innocents.

Bat grinned. This was going to be way too fun. He took a step forward as Kinaga drew his blade. "Two against one, I like the odds." He took another step forward. "Time to die." Bat raised his sword from the ground, tossing floorboards as he did along with a wave of flames. Bat didn't wait for Kinaga to defend, he was already moving forward. Slashing his sword upwards he sent a wave of darkness at the man. Bat liked to work with combo attacks.

Kinaga didn't look at the child as though he were a child, just any other enemy. That was how his years as a ninja had changed him. If a child was a known enemy, and powerful, Kinaga would not hesitate to use full strength. When the boy started towards him, sending a wave of flames in his direction, Kinaga put his swords together, drawing them apart to create a wind that easily cut through the flames. On instinct Kinaga moved back and went to block for a sword attack, but didn't expect the wave of darkness. Holding his swords in an X formation in front of him as the dark wave hit it, he held his blades there for a minute, before letting his chakra flow into his swords to create wind to counteract the wave, slashing his blades through it, and looking at the child. That had been a close call, but Kinaga was used to combo attack, just not of that sort. Today was the day that Kaoru would see how her father really fought. In a serious fight, without the cursed mark. As soon as Kinaga'd dispelled the attack, he went forward, slashing his swords at the kid.

"This is more like it. An opponent that isn't stumbling over themselves to survive." Bat dunked under Kinaga's blade. Bringing his sword up to catch the Storm Ninja's sword in an attempt to force him back. Bat was thrilled to have such a worthy opponent. If this man failed to live up to Bat's standards, the young demon would bring hell on earth upon the entire store.
