Serenity looked at Felix as he said he wasn't as careless as he seemed. She looked down, her expression saddening a little at his last statement. That's right....Felix attacked Silence to stop me from leaving...him being hurt is my fault, she thought, her gaze down. "Is it numb yet?" she asked almost quietly. Dammit, why did she always have to think like that? Sure it was her fault, but she hated being down in front of Felix.

Felix lifted his arm and tapped Serenity's shoulder. "Listen, I don't know what's going through your head right now, but your change in personality says it all." Felix dropped his arm to his side. "I don't think I need to say much more than that." Felix turned his head the other way. "I'm numb." Felix closed his eyes. Can't you stop living in the past, I can't say I love you if you don't let go of what has passed.

Serenity looked at Felix as he tapped her shoulder. She gave him a light smile. Whether he knew it or not, he'd changed a lot since she'd met him. She didn't know if it was from being around her though, but she had a pretty good idea it was. When he said he was numb, she nodded. Serenity went into the back and got a syringe with a rather small needle, with a small amount of clear liquid in it. It was her own remedy, something similar to what Stephen had given her to relieve her pain, although Serenity's was probably a bit stronger and would work for a longer amount of time. It was mostly liquefied medical herbs, so it shouldn't have had any bad reaction with the medicine he was taking. She gently lifted his shirt so that she could get to his chest, taking the cloth from him and laying it on the stairs next to her. "This might sting for a moment," she told him as she put the syringe into the area next to the stitches. She injected the liquid and then pulled the syringe out, allowing his shirt to fall back down. She then went took the rag and went into the other room to throw it into the laundry, and the syringe into the sink in the back room where the rest of the medical supplies were. She came back and sat on the step under him again. "You okay?" she asked.

Felix opened his eyes when he heard her leave. When he saw the needle he blinked. "What's that for?" He asked. As she lifted his shirt and told him it was going to sting for a moment he wished he'd never asked. When the neddle peirced his skin a flinched and then relax. It didn't take long before he found himself relaxed enough to start falling asleep. He was barely aware that Serenity had left the room. Only did he wake up when she asked if he was okay. "Fine."

Serenity gave him a small smile when she came back and he said he was fine. "Here, let's get you upstairs so you can rest some more, okay?" she said to him with the same smile. She was very aware of the effects of the medicine and that it normally put the patient in a sleep-like state. She didn't really want Felix falling asleep on the stairs, because it wouldn't exactly help him heal.

Felix looked up at her. "I can't just lay here for a while?" He asked. He gave a sigh and lifted himself up. He felt very out of it. Starting up the stairs he went step by step leaning against the wall. "Thank you," he said as he got to the room and laid down on the bed. "God it's been a long day."

Serenity got up and followed after Felix as he went up the stairs, just to make sure he didn't fall. When he got up the stairs though, she stopped at the top of them, and smiled as he thanked her. "Don't worry about it," she told him again. "Sleep well," she told him, before starting downstairs. She had cleaning to do. After Serenity finished some of the cleaning she wanted to do, she went upstairs and collapsed onto her bed without even changing her clothes. It wasn't that late, but she was tired as all hell. She was sure that her fever had only gone down enough for her to function properly. I probably should've eaten something, she thought to herself. She fell asleep within minutes, without dreaming at all.
