Felix chuckled. "Well i don't take orders from you," he challeneged. He looked over to her. He wouldn't dream of changing the day he met Serenity. He oculd only imagine what he'd be doing at this very moment if he'd chosen to take the opposite path. An imagine flashed into mind and he turned his head as if he was really there.

Serenity looked at him as he said that he didn't take orders from her and said nothing for a moment. She gave a small laugh after a moment. "Mmhm, okay," she said with a small giggle. She was really tired. It was a little chilly out too, she kind of wanted to go back inside. The icy air had definitely woken her up though. She looked at him a little curiously as he turned his head to the side, but didn't say anything about it.

Felix sat up. His jacket was in the house and the wind and feeling of fresh rain was making him a bit cold. "Let's go inside," he said. "I think it's warmer in their." He remembered that one summer day where they almost died of the heat. He smirked at it. Standing to his feet he helped Serenity off the roof and into the the house he went. He picked up his blanket and settle himself back onto the comfty floor.

Serenity nodded as he suggested that they should go back inside. "Okay," she said simply. She stood up when he did, and kind of clung to Felix as he helped her down. When they got inside, Serenity picked up her blanket and wrapped it around herself again and settled herself on the couch, curled up slightly. She was kinda cold now. And as much as she hated to admit it, Felix was right about one thing. Serenity really did act like a cat sometimes, and she knew it. "Felix, get some rest, will you?" she asked, looking over the edge of the couch at him. She didn't want him to be exhausted just because she was.

Felix pulled his own blanket over him after she had settled on the couch. He had no reason to go to sleep anymore. The sun was up. "It's morning," he complained. He didn't bother looking her, they didn't need to be face to face in order to speak. He blinked twice and then closed his eyes. He was far from sleep though.

Serenity looked at him as he complained that it was morning and sighed. "Okay, okay, I guess you're right," she told him. She was curled up in the corner of the couch with the blanket wrapped around her and didn't plan on moving anytime soon. It was taking all she had and more not to fall asleep right then and there. She was incredibly comfy, but far from relaxed. As if she wasn't tense enough after what'd happened with Seirath, the whole flying on the bird thing had gotten her even more tensed up. Without meaning to, Serenity's eyes closed, but she wasn't asleep.

Felix finally said the hell with it and gave in. He was down right tired. If Serenity needed him she'd wake him up, or he'd wake up if he felt that something wasn't right. He didn't bother saying goodnight, he just drifted off. The sleep came quickly but no dreams followed.

Serenity, after a while, when Felix said nothing, figured that he'd fallen asleep. She couldn't find the strength to open her eyes again, but then reminded herself of the horrible dream and forced herself awake. She quietly walked over to the kitchen and put some water in the kettle and put it on the stove. When she heard it whistling low, she took it off before it could get too loud and awaken Felix. She filled a ramen cup up and sat it on the counter before going upstairs quietly and getting some colored pencils and a few pieces of paper. She brought it back down and set it on the kitchen table, eating the ramen before she started on the drawing. She didn't know where this picture had come from, but it'd been in her mind since the day before, and she wanted to put it on paper. It took her a couple hours to get it right, but when she did, she still didn't think it was good enough and went to work on the finishing touches.

Felix was unaware of the movements Serenity was making. He was long since off sleep. His side rose and fell steadily and the cover hide most of his face. It was a few hours before he woke up. Maybe about eleven. He sat up. He had no wonderings of why he was on the floor. He knew why. The only problem was that Serenity was gone. Felix stood up and went into the kitchen. Seeing her there was a weight off his chest. "Morning," he said walking deeper into the kitchen. He took a seat across from her. "What's that?"

Serenity looked up as she heard Felix say morning and smiled at him. "Good morning Felix," she said with a smile, then looked at the picture as he asked what it was. "I'm not sure, but it's been in my mind for a while now, and I just wanted to get it onto paper," she told him with a shrug. "Anyways, you want something to eat?" she asked with a smile. She was in a good mood. Something about this particular drawing had set her at ease. And she'd be more than willing to drop what she was doing and make Felix something to eat if he was hungry.

Felix took a good look at the picture. It was colorful to say the least. He glanced up at her as she seemed to be in a good mood. At least she was happy. The question of food was something he hadn't thought about. In fact Felix hadn't eatin anything in the past three days. It wasn't loss of apetite, he just sort of forgot. So many things going on it was hard to worry about food. He nodded. "Yes please."

Serenity smiled as he said yes. She put the pencil that she had in her hand down on the table and stood up, stopping short of giving a small bounce. She'd completely forgotten just how tired she'd been. "What would you like?" she asked. "It's almost lunch time, but not quite yet," she told him with a smile. So technically Felix would be eating brunch, as if that was a real meal.

Felix had no idea what time had to do with a meal. He just wanted food. "Anything, as long as it's not oatmeal," he pointed out. Felix kept his eyes on the drawing. There was something about it, something mesmorizing. He shook his head. Maybe he was just still tired. He grinned and without much thought closed his eyes. He was still tired.

Serenity shrugged as he said anything as long as it wasn't oatmeal. "Okay," she said with a smile, then turned the heat back on under the water kettle. She was gonna make ramen, and probably make herself another bowl as well. She was hungry again anyways. She turned to look at him while waiting for the water to heat, only to see his eyes closed. "Still tired?" she asked with a smile.

Felix didn't open his eyes. He leaned against his arm for support. "You could say that," he said. He wondered what she was fixing. He could here her working with some kind of pot, but what entree she was fixing up was a mystery. He shrugged. "I was thinking that maybe would should go to that dumbling place later on this week."

Serenity smiled as he said she could say that, then went to get out the ramen and put them into two separate bowls, then poured the water, which had started whistling by that time, since it was still rather hot from before, into the bowls. They just had to sit for a few minutes then they'd be done. Her eyes brightened as he said that he was thinking that maybe they should go to the dumpling place later on that week. But then her expression softened. "Oh, but don't you have a mission later this week?" she asked. If he had to go on a mission, who knew when he'd be back.

Felix's eyes opened at the sound of the whistle. It'd been a while since he'd heard one of those. He gave a sigh at the mention of a whistle. It made him think about his two teammates that were currently off somewhere fighting with enemy ninja. "I don't know." He looked up at the ceiling searching his memory. He didn't remember having any missions. Maybe he'd get one, but that didn't mean anything for the moment. He was still home free for the time being. "I can't recall having..." He stopped. He gave the lightest of grins. He remembered now. He'd told her he had a mission coming up. What a bother. "Nevermind, I do have a mission. But we can go before then."

Serenity looked at him as he said he didn't know, then said that he didn't recall, then said nevermind, and that he did have one, but they could go before that. She gave a bright smile. "Okay then," she said, then took out two forks and mixed the ramen around a little bit. It was almost done. She looked at him with the same smile. "Anyway, what brought that on?" she asked, referring to him mentioning that they should go to the dumpling place. It came out of nowhere.

Felix was glad she hadn't questioned him on it. He'd almost got himself in to some trouble with that one. He'd have to be more careful next time. But with that little lie in her head, he could leave without her knowing. Felix shrugged at her next question. "I don't know, I just wanted to go. We haven't been their in a while." And this time we can go there without you being starred down.

Serenity smiled as he said that he just wanted to go and that they hadn't been there in a while. "Yeah, I guess that's true," she said with a shrug. She then put Felix's bowl in front of him with a fork in it, then took her own bowl and sat across from him, but not at the seat she'd been drawing at. In the beginning she wouldn't have cared, because if she'd spilled something, there wouldn't have been any work on it, so it wouldn't have mattered. But it was near finished now, so she really didn't want to get anything on it. "Felix, I forget, when did you plan on going to the Rain Village?" she asked, taking a bite of her ramen. She needed to know how long it was going to be until he was going to leave, so she could start planning as well. She didn't mind that he was going to be with Aiko. She was very nice, and what right did Serenity have to keep Felix from someone he loved? Absolutely no right. Serenity had to remind herself though, that she couldn't travel for very long, since Aiko would eventually die, and she wanted to be there for Felix when that happened. After all, he'd been there for her when she thought Hunter had died.

Felix took the bowl and started into it very slowly. He wondered what was the purpose of asking him when he'd be leaving. He wasn't sure, he had to make arrangements. "I have to talk with Aiko," he told her. "Maybe in a year or two," he said with a shrug. It was a short amount of time, but Aiko wouldn't live forever. She was still young though. Twenty-one. They'd talked about it a bit, mostly when Felix didn't want to go to Serenity's or had an argument with Serenity. But now, now they could start planning for real.

Serenity looked at him with a smile as he said he had to talk with Aiko about it, then gave a guess of one or two years. "Okay," she said, taking another bite of her ramen. She wasn't sure what else to say. She had to wonder if she'd tell him what she'd be doing while he was gone. She wasn't sure. Maybe she would, after all, what would the harm be? Maybe while she was traveling she would ask Hunter to join her. She didn't like bouncing back and forth between men, but she knew that Felix didn't want to always be with her, and she hated being alone.

Felix ate in silence until he was done since Serenity hadn't said anything about him leaving in a year or two. When he was done he stood up and washed his dish, which was not normal because Serenity usually did that for him. After he'd finished he sat back down and looked at her with lazy blue eyes. He wondered what she'd do for two years without him. She'd lasted a year without him, why not two.

Serenity looked at Felix and blinked as he got up and went over to the sink and washed his dish. "Felix...I could've gotten that," she said with a small smile. He was her guest, whether they were close or not, no matter how often Felix stayed there. And until he admitted that he practically lived there, he would continue to be her guest. She finished off the rest of her ramen and went over to the sink and washed it out.

Felix looked at her as she claimed that she could have gotten that for herself. "Huh? Oh, it's okay," he said. "I can wash a dish every now and then," he told her. "It can be payment for all you've done for me up until now," he said. That almost sounded like a goodbye to him. Felix held back a sigh. Why was he starting this now? It wasn't right to him. He sat back in the chair and looked at her in silence.
