The Return Empty
PostSubject: The Return   The Return EmptyMon Jan 03, 2011 11:08 pm

It's not every day that an immortal dies. It's not every day that the dead come back to life. Nor is it every day that one gets to see what's on the other side. Well, today had been that day. Felix had seen it all. Covered in a mass amount of blood that belong to himself and others he'd accomplished his personal mission. He'd put an end to the Servents. Nathaniel was dead.

Twleve years had passed since he'd left the Crested in pursuit of the group he'd left years before. He'd found the group and was brought down. Years had passed and Nathaniel had managed to do the impossible. He'd killed an immortal. Yes, Felix had died for the second time in his life. Most would have said it was the first time, but he counted the process of becoming an immortal as a life. But after death, Felix had lost every bit of humanity he'd had left. Something had awoken in him, and mercy had been forgotten in a bloody massacre.

When it was over he was numb. Everything was just a bloody blur. His body ached with the strain of fighting in his condition. His heart pumped three times harder than it should have been. His sight was faded. Nothing looked solid, or real. He knew he was wounded badly, but what did it matter. His mission was complete. Felix had dragged himself over a hundred miles through the middle of nowhere before his body finally gave out on him. Stranded in a an open desert, with a population of one; himself.

Three days passed. Buried in sand, but he'd been found. Someone had spotted him and taken him in. His identification was enough for them to get in touch with the Crested and he was soon on his way home. Home seemed like a dream, but he went without resistance. By the time he was there he'd fallen into unconsiciousness again. It was too much of an effort to stay awake. Too much light, though it was faint. Too much noise, though everything sounded muffled. Too much movement, though he was numb.

Even the ninja that carried him to some door seemed unreal. The knocks sounded loud and panicked. Felix closed his eyes. Was this home? He couldn't see anymore. But he could hear the guy next to him screaming something about an emergency. Felix pulled a kunai very stealthly. This guy was very noisy.

"Shut up," Felix said in a low voice. "You're annoying."

Twelve years had gone by since the last time she'd seen Felix. Seven years since her last drawing of him. Ten months and five days since she'd last thought of him. She'd never forgotten him even though he'd asked her to. Even though she'd tried, just like she said she would. Serenity was putting dishes into her dishwasher when she heard urgent knocking on her door. She blinked and turned, drying her hands off quickly. She didn't know who it was or what the emergency was, but she knew better than to take her time when someone shouted about one. She quickly called that she was coming and trotted over to the door, opening it, freezing when she saw just who it was the ninja had brought to her. "Bring him in," she said without more than a moments hesitation. "Quickly now," she said, moving aside and motioning them in. "Back room," she said, speaking only in fragments because she didn't have time to say more than that. She hadn't noticed the kunai Felix was holding, nor that he was even awake, only that he was finally home and badly injured. Was she relieved to see him home? Yes. Was she relieved to see him in this condition? Absolutely not. She hoped that he wasn't in a coma or anything, because she didn't know what she'd do if he was. She'd already waited 12 years for him to come home, and now that she saw him again, she didn't think she could bare to wait more.

PostSubject: Re: The Return   The Return EmptyMon Jan 03, 2011 11:34 pm

(this is one of those awwwww moments)

The ninja who was holding Felix looked at the older ninja as he told him he was annoying. His mouth dropped, but he kept shouting. When the door opened he followed the directions without hesistation. Felix walked as fast as he could, which wasn't very fast at all. He was annoyed at the fact that he was almost being dragged. This idiot was no where near aware of the pain that was coursing through Felix's body. As he was placed in the back room Felix leaned heavily against the chair. He was so damn tired it was ridculous. "Is that all I need to do, or do you need assistance?" The ninja asked. Felix still had the kunai in his hand. Though his hearing seemed almost none existant, everything sounded loud at the same time. This guy was really rubbing him the wrong way. Felix swore he'd told him to shut up only seconds ago. The kunai left his hand with as much force as he could spare. The ninja yelped as it ended up in his back. "Who the...? Why did you-" Felix's gaze wondered towards the ninja. "I said, Shut. The. Hell. Up."

*nodnod*

Serenity followed them towards the back room as they brought Felix in it. "Thank you, but I won't be needing any assistance," she said, nodding at him, hiding the panic from her voice that clearly shown through her eyes. She blinked in shock as Felix threw a kunai at the ninjas back. He was awake? She felt relieved, but at the same time a bit scared. There was something wrong, very very wrong. She looked to the ninja. "Can you make it to the hospital?" she asked. "Please understand, I have to take care of him as quickly as I can," she said. She was sure he understood that. She didn't have time to waste on flesh wounds. She turned to look at Felix, going over to him and carefully started examining his wounds, not touching him too rough or carelessly. She wondered if he'd even noticed that she was there up until now, or even where he was. It didn't exactly seem like it.

The ninja glared at Felix and then looked towards Serneity. "It's nothing," he said with a smile. He then took one last look at Felix before walking out of the room and then the house. Felix didn't see the guy's expression, but he heard him leave and that was good enough. It wasn't long before he heard someone near him, examining his wounds he suspected. Felix was sure that had been his last kunai, but that didn't mean he couldn't be a threat. "I'm not home am I?"

Serenity hadn't seen the ninja glare at Felix, and even if she had, would've done nothing so long as the ninja didn't strike back. She blinked and looked at Felix as he asked if he was home. She gave the best smile she could in her position. "Yes Felix, you're home," she said, then knelt down in front of him. She placed a hand very lightly on the side of his face. "Do you know who I am?" she asked, hoping he hadn't lost any of his memory or anything like that. From what she'd examined so far, his wounds were very, very bad. She was surprised that he was still even awake, and talking. And even worse than that, still moving.

Felix knew the voice, and it was bothering him to know he couldn't place it. He felt a hand on his face and his eyes narrowed. "Don't touch me," he said grabbing her wrist. His sight was still blurry, but that hadn't exactly been a handicap. At least he knew he was home, that was a relief. That meant he was safe. His energy slowly evaporating he dropped her wrist and tried to remember who this girl was. "I know that you're someone that's worth my time," he said. His head was starting to hurt and he was very dizzy. He had to remember though. Felix closed his eyes completely as he started to fade in and out of consiciousness. What is her name? He stayed silent. I know that voice, I'm sure of it. I remember it from when I left. I remember it when I woke up after... He stopped. It was coming back, bit by bit. "Your name is Serenity." He couldn't tell her any more than that. Even now he was unsure. His memory was mush.

The Return Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Return   The Return EmptyTue Jan 04, 2011 11:53 am

(When he woke up after what?)

Serenity's eyes widened slightly as he grabbed her wrist. In his state, he shouldn't have been able to move so suddenly. She was glad that he at least remembered that she was 'worth his time', which meant that he hopefully wouldn't try to attack her when she healed him. She couldn't wait for him to fall unconscious, because it might take too long. She bit her lower lip in slight nervousness as he closed his eyes. She nodded as he stated her name. "Yes, that's right," she affirmed. "Listen Felix, I'm going to heal you okay? But in order to do that, I have to touch you. Please try not to move, it will make this easier," she told him, then rose up and proceeded with trying to take off his jacket, moving him as little as possible. If he tried to resist, she'd end up having to put him to sleep.

She hoped that after she finished healing him the old Felix would come back. But the thought crossed her mind that over the twelve years he'd been gone, the Felix that she knew was probably long gone. When she wasn't around, she knew how cold he could be. And if he'd been that way over the past twelve years, it was possible that the 'old Felix' was gone. She swallowed, her eyes saddening at the thought. She wanted to cry right now. The first time she'd seen him in twelve years...and he came home in this condition. She wanted to hug him and tell him that she'd make sure he was fine, and safe now, but she was scared that he might try and attack her or something. "And don't worry, I won't hurt you," she promised in a soft voice as she proceeded with taking off his bloody jacket, not caring at how covered it was, only hoping that it wasn't all his blood.

Realizing that he was still standing, she slipped his arm gently over her shoulder and looked at him. "Please come sit down on the bed, it will be easier for the both of us," she said. She saw that he'd walked in with the ninja. Well, kind of walked. If need be she could just use her air to help him move, it wouldn't be much of a problem. She'd been using it the whole time he was away, so she was quite skilled in it by now. She could use it to do just about anything she needed it for. She wanted to see if he could walk with her though, and she took it slow, unlike the other ninja who'd been practically dragging Felix's feet across the ground. "Take your time," she told him. She didn't want to use her wind to carry him unless she had to, because she was unsure of whether it would harm him or not, and even more unsure if he would snap at her for it.

(Take that Jer!! Though yours was still longer....)

PostSubject: Re: The Return   The Return EmptyTue Jan 04, 2011 2:31 pm

(After he'd had the life beaten out of him, literally.Nice post.)

He didn't want to be healed. He wanted to be left alone. He didn't care what this girl Serenity thought he needed. He knew what was best for him. Too tired to argue he simply nodded. He finally opened his eyes and looked at her as she told him not to worry because she wasn't going to hurt him. That was a lie. The moment he did move to start walking he felt like everything was snapping. He paused midstep. He knew she hadn't meant it, but still. Yes, he would take his time here. Moving too fast was a strain. When he'd finally gotten to the bed he sat down. He felt the need to lay down and sleep a while. Not a smart idea, he didn't know where he was at. Something told him to trust Serenity though. How could he trust someone that he could barely remember. Blue eyes closing once more he found himself searching for the lost memories.

(Aww....and thanks!)

Serenity helped him over to the bed patiently. She didn't want him straining himself. It seemed that all he remembered of her was her name and that he knew her to be important in some way. For now that was enough for her. As long as he hadn't completely lost his memory. Serenity stood in front of him as he sat on the bed, and lifted the front of his shirt so she could see his wounds, manipulating the air to hold it up for her as she started healing him. She didn't want to try and have him raise his arms to take his shirt off, it might strain his body too much. Before she started healing him, she put a hand lightly on his chest, letting her chakra flow through his body, so she could see where exactly she needed to start healing first. She looked at him as her chakra flowed through him. "Would you like to lie down?" she asked as she saw him close his eyes. She was hiding every emotion that she was feeling right now, only letting concern slip into her voice. He's going to be alright, you'll heal him, he'll get his memories back, and he'll be fine....after all, he is still alive, and he came back, just like he said he would, she told herself, blinking forming tears away.

Had he been able to remember at least a bit of who she was, maybe even seen her face had he not been half blind at the time he probably would have been able to jog his memory. He would have been glad to see her, to know she was still there. He would be proud too. She was using her wind like it was first nature. He didn't say anything as she started to heal him. He didn't want to talk to her. Didn't want to think about how unable he was feeling at the moment. He barely heard he when she asked if he'd like to lay down. He blinked his eyes open and looked at her. He caught a glimpse of blonde but it was gone before he could confirm it. This was getting on his nerves. "I'm fine." He said coldly.

She only nodded as he said that he was fine. She wouldn't bother him about it. "How did your mission go," she asked, still scanning over his body, but keeping her hand placed lightly on his chest. She paused when she found that there was something wrong in concern with his eyes. "Can you see?" she asked him, looking at him. She'd probably heal his eyes first, if there was really something wrong with them. The last thing she wanted was for him to go blind. That wouldn't fare well. While she'd been scanning him over, she'd found several broken bones, many fractured bones, and deep cuts, among other things. The one thing that she was extremely glad she hadn't found was internal bleeding. Many of the spots on his body had started healing themselves and were bruised over, but it didn't seem that there was a single spot on his body that hadn't been injured...(exaggeration)

Felix stayed still. How'd she know about his mission? He knew he hadn't told anyone, or at least that's what he thought. "It went well," he mumbled. He gave a sigh and then looked towards her as she asked if he could see. "No." How'd she know that was as good a guess to him as anyone else. Then there was something that bothered him. "This isn't permenant is it?" He asked. "It's not that I can't see...everything's just blurry."

Serenity gave a small smile as he said that his mission had gone well. Which meant that he'd completed it. He wouldn't have come back otherwise, she was sure of it. She blinked as he asked if it was permanent, then explained that it wasn't that he couldn't see, his vision was just blurry. She hadn't found any traces of poisons in his system....maybe she'd missed something. "Hmm, that is strange," she muttered, taking her hand off his chest and putting it under his chin so that she was looking at his eyes, letting the wind drop his shirt back down. "Perhaps this is an after effect of a genjutsu, or maybe you might've even been struck on the head too hard," she explained, her eyes scanning over his, looking for irregularities. "Either way it shouldn't be hard for me to take care of," she said. "Don't worry, your vision will come back," she assured him.

Then as her hand was on his chin she let her chakra flow up the side of his face and invisibly pass into his eyes as she started to search for what was wrong. "Do you remember if any poisons were used?" she asked. "If you can't, don't strain yourself trying." He shouldn't have felt anything when her chakra had passed through his eyes, but as she was working, his vision should have been changing. She was sure that it wouldn't come back at first, the colors perhaps might've been changing in his vision and at one point it was possible that his vision could've gone black, but it wouldn't have lasted too long, because Serenity found herself making progress with healing his eyesight.

(I'm getting better at this!)

(hmph)

Felix didn't think she could really help him at all, though he was feeling a bit better than when he'd arrived. He might have even been able to move without much problem. He would trust her for the time being since he couldn't really help himself out. He tried to remember had he been poisoned. Plenty of times in the past, but throughout those twelve years. Maybe. Torture, yeah, he remembered that, as well as getting beaten to death. Those bastards deserved everything they'd gotten. "I don't remember." The bitterness of the memories reflecting in his voice. He blinked as his vision started to swirl with colors. He went to ask if it was normal, but everything with black. He thought he'd passed out, but it was just his eyes playing tricks. Another few swirls and it was like waking up. He could see again. So the girl was a miracle worker. He grinned. "You're a blonde." He was being sterotypical.

Serenity only nodded when he said that he didn't remember, noting the bitterness in his voice. She wondered if it was directed at her. "That's fine," she told him. After all, she did tell him not to strain himself trying to remember. She looked at him when he grinned and said that she was a blond. Well, it looked like his sight was fixed, but she didn't exactly like the way he'd said that. "Yes, and?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. She hated being stereotyped as a blond, because most people assumed that blonds were dumb, and she was far from being so. At least in her opinion.

Felix had no trouble speaking his mind when she asked and what. "Well, most blondes aren't exactly what you'd call on normal level. Looks like you stepped up in the food chin." He kept that same grin. She had blue eyes and bore an unnerving resemblence to Mer. This made him a bit nervous and at the same time interested. "So, can I leave?" He asked, the grin slowly disappearing. "I think I can handle myself from here on out."

Serenity gave Felix a blunt look when he said that most blonds weren't on a normal level. "Uh-huh," she said in an almost sarcastic tone. She gave him an incredulous look as he asked if he could leave. "You haven't changed a bit..." she sighed. "No you can't leave, because for one I'm not done healing you, and for two, your injuries are too serious for me to just allow you to walk out just like that," she explained. "Now stay still, I'm going to start healing the rest of you," she said and did so, lifting his shirt and holding it there with her air as she started healing his chest first.

"You said I haven't changed, does that mean you knew me, like really knew me?" He asked. He wasn't looking at her, he was was still scoping out the room. He'd noticed his shirt was lifted, but she wasn't holding it up physically. "You're element is wind?" He asked. "Medical ninja?"

Serenity nodded when he asked if she knew him. "We were....really close before you left for your mission," she explained, as calmly as she could. She wanted the old Felix back so she could hug him without him being weirded out or pushing her off him, like she knew this Felix would. She nodded when he asked that her element was wind. "Mmhm, that's right," she said, continuing to heal his chest. She gave a smile and shook her head when he asked if she was a medical ninja. "Not exactly. I'm just a healer for the Crested village," she told him. There was something that she wouldn't tell Felix though, at least not until the time came, when he had his memory back, maybe not even until a little after that. She'd been having the boys teach her how to fight again, seeing as how she'd forgotten the skill. According to the boys, she hadn't been very hard to teach.

Armed with two bags of awesome take-out which was meant for themselves. But the plans had changed when they heard that Felix had finally come home. A small knock sounded at the door. It wasn't meant to be heard. No sir it was not. They wanted to surprise him. Trying the door they opened it and snuck inside. The two weren't in the livingroom, nor the kitchen. Stephen looked at Walker and shrugged before pointing to the backroom where he heard voice. Walker didn't waste any time. Leaving Stephen to bring in the bags he ran into the room. "FELIX! WELCOME BACK!" He shouted with bright eyes. Stephen came in next and nodded. "Welcome back."

Felix didn't know this girl, but she said they were close. In the back of his mind something was telling him it was true, but on the other hand he was thinking. There was no way we were dating. He shrugged as she said she was just a simple healer. Felix hadn't heard the door open, but when he heard footsteps he'd been moving before he realized it. Somehow he had another kunai left and it came mere centimeters from Walker's face. The only thing that had possibly kept him from hitting his mark was that he was sitting down. He didn't remember them either.

(Thought he was out of kunai, kehe)(and btw, lmfao, there was no way we were dating, wtf is that sposed to mean? kehehe)

Serenity jumped when she heard Walker yell, because she hadn't even heard them come in, or even approach. She glared at him in irritation and blew a wind at him, blinking when a kunai flew past Walker's face. She looked at Felix. "Calm down, they're not enemies," she said with a small smile, then looked at Walker, who she assumed was shocked by the sudden attack. "You should know better than to startle him," she scolded, then sighed. "He doesn't remember much, and he's in pretty bad shape, but I'm making progress with healing him," she explained, then smiled. "Nice to see you two by the way," she said. She then turned her head back to looking at Felix and healing his chest. The wounds on his chest seemed the worst. After she was done with it, the rest would be smooth sailing. "I'm guessing you two came because you heard he was back, huh?" she asked the two with a smile without looking at them. "Do you remember the twins Felix?" she asked.

Walker stumbled back when Serenity blew the wind at him. "Hey," he whinned. Then the kunai came seconds from his face. Walker swallowed. He was far past shock, he was a bit scared. He looked to Serenity as she said he should know better. She was talking like his mom. "Sorry," he said looking guilty. But it faded as she informed them. Walker looked at Felix. How could this have happened? "Is he going to get his memory back?" Stephen had moved back behind the wall when he'd seen the kunai coming. Now that things were calmed down he came back around. "If anyone an help him, it's you." Stephen admired Serenity. She was the best healer he'd ever known, and as a healer himself, that was something to brag about.

Felix looked at the boys for a second longer before looking at Serenity who was telling him these two weren't enemies. That sort of figured, seeing as though the brown haired one knew his name. Felix couldn't even place a name to them. He shook his head as Serenity asked him if he remembered them. "No, should I?" He asked bluntly.

(LMFAO!!! "She was talking like his mom." If only he knew why!!! XD)

Serenity only shook her head lightly as Walker asked if Felix would get his memory back. "I don't know. It should come back with time, and I'm thinking that it's just a result of too many blows," she explained, then smiled at Stephen's comment. "Thanks," she said. The boys and her had gotten a lot closer with Felix's absence, and unlike Felix, occasionally they came in without knocking, like now, but Serenity had told them many times before that it was absolutely alright. These two could think of her house as a second home to them, she didn't mind at all. She loved having the two around. She lowered the front of Felix shirt and sat behind him on the bed, lifting up the back of his shirt and holding it there with her air as she started healing his back next. She was glad that he wasn't being as stubborn as usual and actually allowing he to heal him. She nodded when Felix asked if he should know them. "Yes, you raised them. The one you threw the kunai at is Walker, and his brother is Stephen," she explained to him. She was a little scared that she didn't know exactly what was wrong with his memory. It bothered her to no end to know that it might not come back, but she wouldn't tell the boys that she thought that. It would only uselessly scare and worry them. She wouldn't do that to them.

The disbelief was clear on Felix's face when she said that he had raised the two of them. That could only mean one of two things and both of them he was denying with all his ability. "How is that possible?" He moaned. One scenario was that he'd somehow found a girl he liked a bit too much and she'd dropped the two of them on his shoulders and he had no choice but to raise them. Or he'd come across them and took pity on them. He looked at the two of them. They didn't look like him. He glanced at Serenity, waiting for her answer. Then a third thought came to mind. Felix closed his eyes and buried his head in his arms. He would not even go there.

Walker and Stephen trusted Serenity on this. So they'd let her do her thing. "Well, I guess we should be going," Stephen said nudging his brother lightly. Walker didn't seem to want to go but he nodded. "Yeah. We'll stop by tomorrow." He looked at Felix and smiled. "Get well soon, we'll bring you a card." He joked. He looked to Serenity. "We got takeout."
