Jasper stood leaning against the gate to the Crested. It was about 7:55 or so. He didn't really care about being on time to meet with Felix, but he really hadn't seen the guy in quite a long time, and since he was back, Jasper figured 'what the hell, why not.' Although, Jasper's overall demeanor was much lighter than it had been twelve years ago, to the point where even his eyes seemed a lighter color.

Felix had a massive headache and was going to cancel, but then he thought about Rin and Jasper and it made the headache seem like flesh wound. Felix walked up to the gates with his hands in his pockets. His eyes hidden behind his hair. He had his regular clothing on and his expression was blank. "Jasper."

Jasper blinked and gave a small grin as he saw Felix walking his way. "Hey, Felix, long time no see," he said. "How'd things go? I'm guessing good, since you're still alive," he joked, pushing himself off the wall and taking a few steps forward. "Anyways, why exactly did you need to meet with me?" he asked. He had yet to figure out what possible motive he could have for asking for a meeting. He wouldn't be surprised if Felix had just called him there to ask what happened with Serenity.

Felix stopped a few feet away and let Jasper fill in the gap. The second the guy got close enough Felix aimed a punch at his face. Felix was keeping calm. He was trying to think rational. "How'd things go? I spent 10 years searching for the Servents. Then I found them and you know what suffered for nearly two years! Torture! Then I die." Felix looked at Jasper. "You know what it feels like to die?" He asked. "Do you know what that does to a person?" Felix had clenched his fist. "When I came back I completely slaughtered everyone! And you know what, I liked it." Felix's eyes were cold, but could not be seen. "I came home thinking I was done, but guess what I found out, Rin's alive and well. Not just well, married. To who? You!"

Jasper hadn't expected the punch, so he stumbled back into the wall. If it hadn't been there, he probably would've fallen back from the impact. He rubbed the side of his face before looking back at Felix. "What the hell was that..." he went to ask, but Felix had already been explaining. Jasper got off the wall again, but made sure not to get any closer to Felix this time. He only blinked as Felix asked him if he knew what it was like to die. He was almost a little intimidated when Felix stated that he'd liked it when he'd slaughtered everyone. His eyes widened when he mentioned Rin. "Oh hell no, you stay the hell away from her," he said, taking a step forward. (I would've put a worse word, but this site is PG-13 >.> )

Felix looked at Jasper. "Or what?" He asked. "You were suppose to make sure her and Mars didn't cause any damage, but yet you marry her? After I warned you! After you'd seen what she'd done." Felix wanted to hit him again but instead he hit the wall. "Just what could have possibly been going through your miniscule brain?" He asked. "Rin! The same one who was with Nathaniel and Mars and Toki when they had Serenity. Have you forgotten that fast?" He asked.

Jasper's hand balled into a fist as Felix asked or what. "Or you'll feel what it's like to die yet another time," he threatened, his eyes holding nothing but seriousness, though he knew Felix was serious too. He didn't even cringe as Felix punched the wall next to him. He shook his head when Felix had asked if he'd forgotten. "Dammit Felix, she didn't want to be there! And of course I haven't forgotten, how could I? But it wasn't Rin who put that kunai to Serenity, it was the other one," he said, trying not to do anything rash. He wouldn't let Felix get anywhere near Rin, but at the same time, he was worried he wouldn't be able to convince Felix that Rin shouldn't be a target for him.

Felix was trying to keep calm. He knew what happened when a person got mad. They lost sight of what the real goal was and ended up making mistakes that they'd later regret. Felix knew about Rin, more than Jasper did. He'd spent years with the group and alot of time with her. She seemed like an angel, but she was not on in the least. "I had sympathy once before when she wasn't a target, but now...now I have to complete my mission. You understand don't you." He looked at Jasper. "Just how much do you know about her Jasper? Is she really what you think of her to be? Just how safe is she with your sister around? Is she carrying out Nathaniel's dying wishes? Come Jasper, think about it." Felix paused. "Boreas is already on their side, she's just waiting for you to slip up."

Jasper tried not to lose his head, but it was hard. He loved Rin, and there was no way he was gonna let Felix hurt her. "I know how it is when you have to complete a mission Felix. There's always gonna be obstacles though," he said, hoping that Felix took the hint. Jasper was his obstacle in this mission. "Rin loves Ichiya, and it's vice-versa, she would never do anything to hurt her," he said. "Dammit Felix, I haven't let Boreas have control since that day, and she knows that he's gone. I don't plan on letting him take control again," he said. He wasn't lying. Boreas hadn't seen the light of day since that incident. It was hard, definitely, but it had made Jasper stronger than before. Felix wouldn't be able to convince him to turn against Rin. There was no proof, and even if there was, it was likely that Jasper would still deny it.

Felix hated Jasper right now. He wanted to kill him, just strike him down and leave him there to be found by some nobody. But instead he just shook his head and gave a short laugh. "You're going to later regret this decision." Felix said almost quietly. A dark grin spread across his face. "But whatever, it's your funeral." Felix turned his back on Jasper. "Obstacles can easily be broken." Why hadn't he killed Jasper? Because, he was going to prove a point, but it'd take time. Lot's of time even. He pulled out a kunai and spun it on his finger. "Let them come, and the world around us shall go up in flames."

Jasper looked at Felix as he said that he'd regret that decision. Later. "Later..?" he asked. He hadn't pulled a kunai yet, but he was prepared to if Felix started anything. He'd have to go home and tell Rin. "Hey, I was gonna die someday, it might as well be protecting someone I love," he told Felix. He wasn't immortal. He knew that he was going to die someday, and in his eyes, a worthy death wasn't to die on a mission, but to protect a loved one. He almost looked a bit confused as Felix turned his back on him. "I'm not ordinary obstacle," he told him. Then he really did look confused at Felix's last statement, but said nothing. This hadn't exactly been what he'd expected when he got that text message from Felix.

(what? he thought he was going to get a "Hey how you doing, it's been a while")

Felix kept spinning the kunai. "Just what I said, later." He continued to grin as he came to a sudden stop. "To die for someone you love." He thought about it. "I'm immortal, I wouldn't know anything about that." He looked back at Jasper. "Confused?" He asked. "I'll let you in on a little secret. That's your very first riddle from me, Merry Christmas." He gave a small chuckle. These days were fun, since he'd been spending more and more time with Serenity he'd forgotten them. The days of giving riddles and watching the confusion.

Jasper only shook his head as Felix said he wouldn't know anything about dying for someone he loved because he was immortal. "Immortality doesn't matter," he said. He wouldn't explain anymore. Felix had given him a riddle, and Jasper had just given one of his own, in a sense. He didn't even crack a smile a the whole Merry Christmas comment. He started a walk back towards his own home. "If you're finished, I'm leaving now," he said without so much courtesy as a goodbye. Why the hell should he give a goodbye to the guy who'd pretty much just accused his wife of being a witch? (so-to-speak)

Felix thought about it. His thoughts interrupted by Jasper's deaparting he threw the kunai infront of the ninja. "Where do you think you're going? I'm not done yet." He said. "Explain to me what you mean." He said. Felix knew what it meant, but it was better to get someone elses point of view. Felix would have died for Serenity and Aiko a million times over and Mer as well had she still been alive.

Jasper stopped when a kunai flew in front of him, then turned his head just enough to see Felix from the corner of his eye. "You go around spouting riddles, yet when you get one you demand an explanation? That's not how it works," he put simply. He wasn't about to explain that to Felix. The answer to the riddle he'd just given Felix was one that would likely (and in Jasper's mind, hopefully) start Felix on thinking about changing his mind about Rin. If not, well then that was just too damn bad. It was almost scary how alike Jasper and Felix were in some ways.

Felix looked at Jasper. "Alright, you have a point." He walked over to Jasper. His hands were up to show he was not coming at the guy with a kunai. "Can I propose a deal?" He asked. Felix stopped as he'd stepped infront of Jasper and faced him. "Are you strong enough to let Boreas out for less than five minutes?" He asked.

Jasper turned as he heard footsteps coming towards him, relieved to see that Felix didn't have another kunai out. "I'm listening," he said when Felix asked something about a deal. "I am. But whether or not I allow him to depends entirely on what you're planning," he said. Jasper had never wanted to allow Boreas control again after that incident, but if it was to help protect Rin...well, there was nothing he wouldn't do.

"You as a ninja should know hwo easy it is to detect someone's uneasiness." He grinned. "I've know Rin for a long time." He added. "And I'm supposing you have as well depending on when you all met." Felix looked towards the village. "Five minutes of witnessing Boreas, that's all I'm asking." Felix shrugged. "If it gets too serious, I'll make sure to keep you in check, and I won't harm a hair on her pretty little head."

Jasper only nodded as Felix stated that he knew how easy it was to detect uneasiness. And Jasper did. He was a bit of an expert on it. He said nothing on the concept of how long ago they'd met. It had been long enough. He was almost nervous to agree with this deal. He didn't want to know. But...it would keep Rin safe, so he shrugged. "Sure, it's a deal," he said, acting as though he wasn't hesitant at all. "But don't you touch her, you hear me?" he said seriously.

Felix grinned as Jasper agreed. "You have my word, unless she's really still one of them." He said. "And yes, I am a man of my word," Felix said. "I do have one requirement. "Don't speak to Serenity about this, she's not fond of my actions." Felix put his hands in his pockets. "Sound fair?" He asked.

Even if she was still one of them....Jasper turned his head to the side, his eyes narrowed some at that. And...the thing was, even if she was still one of them...he wasn't sure that he'd be able to just sit there. No, he wouldn't be able to just sit there. He'd still protect her. He looked at Felix and allowed a light grin to pass over his face at his requirement. "Yeah, you got it," he said with a chuckle. Felix was whipped. "Fair enough. When exactly were you planning on this taking place anyways?"

*grenade!!!* -lands near jasper-

Felix eyes narrowed lightly. He already knew how this was going to end. Someone would die before this was over with. It was either going to be Jasper or Rin, or both. If Jasper died Felix would be free to kill Rin. If Rin died, it was most likely he'd have to kill Jasper. You lose some, you win some, but for him, it was win-win. Felix grinned. "Two weeks from today," he said. "Warn her, prepare her, do whatever you like, but when it all comes down..." he trailed off in a small laughter. "We'll just have to wait and see until then."

Jasper nodded when he stated the time. "Alright. I'll be expecting you then," he said. When Jasper said that they'd just have to wait and see, he sighed. "Yeah, whatever." He looked off to the side. "We finished this time?" He wanted to get home. He wanted to warn Rin. And...he hoped she wouldn't take it the wrong way. He trusted her. But Felix didn't, and this was to keep him away from her.

"Yes, we're done." Felix turned and headed off walking as though he was amused, which he wasn't. The game was about to begin. Felix headed home instead of to Serenity's house. He had some things to do, he'd probably go over later. He hadn't spoken to her since this morning when he left her house. Last night was crazy. Felix sighed, the headache returning.

Jasper turned as Felix did and headed to his house. Thinking all the while, how he'd tell Rin what was going on. He sighed. This was going to be tough for the both of them. Damn you Kuriyama... Opening the door, he walked into the house with a smile. "Rin, I'm home," he called out, going into the kitchen to get himself a drink. He started drinking down a glass of water, which he'd finished in a matter of seconds, then went to refill it. He was wondering if he shoudl wait until later in the day to tell her, after all, it was still morning.
